Apr 21, 2013There is a folder in a shared location which many people use at work. Within this folder, I have an excel document with all current stock (called "Current Stock"). There will never be more than 20 items in current stock. There is also other documents within this folder which relate to lots of other things, Interest, Deals etc.
What I want to do is every time a new item is added to the "Current Stock" document, a tab is created with that Item name within all the other documents.

Sep 12, 2013I want to create a macro that creates a new .xlsx document based on cell values. And input 4 tabs into each document with specified tab names. I have a document that pulls from external sources and fluctuates with amount of data per day. I envision something that will make a new document named for the contents in cell A1, then function as a control+down to create a new document for A2, then A3 until there is no content left (should mention these are lookup formulas, and if there is no data it pulls a value of "0")
Is there a way to put in the code, the tab names it would create in each new document, or would that have to look to a cell value for the naming? The tab names would be "GS", "MYSS", "COLL SHEET", and "WIRE".

What I am attempting to acheive is to have two areas on a work sheet, the first of which contains data that is much larger than the second but both of them need to appear on the screen at the same time. If it was possible to apply a vertical scroll bar to the first range which is named this would be possible.

Sep 22, 2006 I have an imported docment that stores the data as excel time. I need the data in seconds. I changed the format to [s]. This was great, exactly what I needed until I imported the document in to Access. Access changed the data back to time format. So here is my question: Is there any way to paste [s] data and save it as an text? or Is there a formula that I can change the data into seconds? I have searched the forum for a couple of days and went to the formula help page, but there was nothing that addressing my issue.

Searching For Mistakes In Document While Using Another Document As Reference
Feb 2, 2014I am processing a fair few Invoices, which are being sent to me via e-mail as excel documents, very often they contain mistakes, a decent amount of mistakes. Usually the prices are wrong.
I keep track of every single entry on the invoice on my own document - Tracker, which I consider to be the superior/more correct document to the Invoice presented to me by my contractor.
Both of the documents have a reference number, which is a specific docket number, and horizontally, in the invoice, there is going to be a price for this docket. In my document, there is going to be a separate column for the total price.
Is it possible (I guess with VBA) to check for mistakes in the Invoice, but use the Tracker as a reference for this check.
Tracker has
columns
A - Name
B - Department
C - Date
D - Docket No.
C - Total price for the docket (calculation of E to Z)
E to Z - all smaller entries
Invoice has
columns
A - Date
B - Docket No.
C to E price for that docket, but it is spread, because departments are separated out, so each VAT account can be charged accordingly. I guess it is possible to do a separate column for the price, if it is easier to do a script that way.
Basically, I need to check if in the Invoice document, the price (C to E) for Docket No. (B) is the same as the price (C) for the Docket No. (D) in the Tracker.
I would like the wrong entries to be highlighted on the Invoice Document, so I can see straight away, that this needs attention.
Not always the price is wrong, sometimes the Docket No. is spelled incorrectly (Dyslexic contractor), hence the highlighting.

An example:
My htm document is located at C:/ and named XX.htm
The number I want from excel is in cell A1 in sheet1, and the worksheet is located in D:/ named yy.xlsx
And the text(number) I want to replace is in the following string in the htm document, in this string it is 72, next day it can be 30:

Specifically, the formula ="PLAN" & budyr-1 where budyr is a named range on a different tab containing 2008 . This formula yields PLAN 2007 on a new tab and #VALUE! on an old tab.

Aug 15, 2009if there's a way to either define what columns or rows are printable or to somehow leave columns (or rows) as visible within the print area but omitted from printing as if they were hidden.
In my CAD package I can simply elect to have certain collections of information "non-printable", is there any way I can do this with columns without having to rely on people managing to laboriously (sic) hide and unhide columns either side of printing a document.

By using the form the user is able to input data to a worksheet in running in the background. I've added a button on the form where I want the user to be able to open the worksheet which is password protected and view or print the data. I've already got the code to hide the workbook, protect and unprotect the sheets, I just can seem to get the code to view the one worksheet.

Nov 11, 2008I use a two monitor setup driven from a Radeon 9550 graphics card, but the problem I have occurs on a single monitor as well. When I open multiple workbooks or worksheets I can only view one at a time the other remains embedded behind the open window. Nothing I know of will let me view both at the same time.
If there are two open worksheets full size on the screen and I minimize one they both minimize. If I decide to close one workbook/sheet down all open workbooks/sheets close down as well. Can I view two workbooks at the same time? Can I close one down while keeping one open?
