Activate Sheet Of Checked OptionButton By Caption

Jan 14, 2008

I have created a Group Box in Excel with 4 Option Buttons in the group. I have also created a Command Button which currently, when clicked, changes to a worksheet I specified. I am trying to have the Comand Button, when clicked, look at the selected Option Buttons in the Group Box and change to the worksheet specified by the selected Option Button. I have tried an IF..THEN statement with no success. code below that I have tried.

Private Sub CommandButton1_Click()
If AM40 = 1 Then
Sheets("Billboards(1)").Select
'ElseIf AM40 = 2 Then
' Sheets("Live Events Feedback(1)").Select
End If
End Sub

Activate Right Optionbutton

Jan 4, 2009

I have 5 Optionbuttons (in userform) named: Sheet1, Sheet2, Sheet3, Sheet4 and Sheet5.

When I open workbook Optionbutton1 (Sheet1) is activated, but what kind of loop(?) I need, if I want activate same named optionbutton than activate sheet.
Example: I activate sheet3 then Optionbutton3 (named sheet3) have to activated also.

I tried simple codes,
First worksheet:
Private Sub Worksheet_Activate()
OptionButton1.Value = True
End Sub

Second worksheet:
Private Sub Worksheet_Activate()
OptionButton1.Value = False
OptionButton2.Value = True
End Sub

If Checkbox Checked - Cut Row And Paste On Next Sheet

Mar 6, 2013

I have a workbook with a report on Sheet1. If the checkbox in column N is checked, I need the data from that row (column A-S) to be cut and pasted on the next available row on Sheet2. I am still new to VBA/macros. Would this be better if I made a button to update the sheet every morning or could it be automatic when the checkbox is checked (preferred).

Add New Sheet & Copy Checked CheckBox Rows

Nov 24, 2007

I need to copy all the cells to a "new worksheet" if the checkboxes are checked.
I have thousand of cell in here but i just narrow it down in this example.

example:
A B C D E F G
21 22 23 24 25 26 checked
31 32 33 34 35 36 unchecked
41 42 43 44 45 46 checked
51 52 53 54 55 56 unchecked

there is a command button in here that when it was click it will open a "new worksheet",
what I need to see in the new worksheet is this:

A B C D E F
21 22 23 24 25 26
41 42 43 44 45 46

Go To Sheet Named As Text In Button Caption

Jun 3, 2008

There is a 'Home' page with a button for each employee - clicking the button takes the user to the appropriate employee's timesheet

There is also an 'Add New Employee' button on the home page which brings up a form and allows a new employee to be added.

Each employee has only 1 worksheet (Which is created based on a blank template page)

When the 'Add New Employee' button is clicked a form pops up which ask for name, D.O.B etc. The user fills out the form and clicks ok. The template sheet is then copied, renamed to the employees name, and all relevent fields are added to the template sheet (based on the users input). A button is also generated on the home page with the employees name as a caption and when it is clicked it goes to employees timesheet.

I have almost got this working.

The only problem is this only works once, So For Example say i Add 'John' then i add 'Mary' on the home page i now have 2 buttons with 'John' and 'Mary' on them. The problem is as soon as a second employee is added (Mary), the first employees button(John) is linked to the second employee's Sheet rather than its own(Mary). and after the spreadsheet is closed the buttons dont work at all.

The link below has the spreadsheet i have made so far, you can test it out if my description doesnt make sense or you can see the code behind the 'add new employee' form:

############################################################
#### 'Add Employee' Button on Add New Employee Form ####

Activate Sheet Identified By Cell Next To Button

I have an index page with hundreds of worksheets (poor spreadsheet design i know) I am looking for a button to go next to the sheet name on the index sheet, read the cell in the button's macro code and when pushed go to that sheet's location. I can easily make a button to go to one sheet but with hundreds of sheets this becomes a monotonous task. Example

Index Sheet

Sheet 2 (Button) <-- Button reads the text, takes you to the "Sheet 2" location
Sheet 3 (Button)
Sheet 4 (Button

Reference Cell On Non Activate Sheet Macro Code

I have a UDF in Cell Sheet1!A1 that inputs some ranges from Sheet1 and calculates a number. Then I have a sub that calculates the value of this function with Evaluate(Sheet1!A1.formula). However, this only works when I am in Sheet1. Otherwise, I get the wrong calculation. How can I avoid this? I will post the code in the open source forum as it otherwise is quite good and automatically resizes array functions to their proper size.

Selecting Optionbutton Using VBA

Oct 4, 2008

I have two option buttons on each of five spreadsheets in my Excel workbook. Selecting the first option button enables an x to be written to a cell when that cell is clicked with the mouse. Selecting the second option button disables the writing of the x when the cell is clicked with the mouse. I have these working quite well.

My problem is that I want the second option button selected (disable writing of x) when I enter the sheet. I'm pretty certain that I need the code in Sub Worksheet_Activate() but I haven't been able to find the VBA statement to set the second option button on.

Also, unlike having the option buttons on a form, when I select the option button on the spreadsheet in Design mode I can see no property sheet indicating the name, value, etc of the option button.

Incorrect Optionbutton Value On Initialize

Oct 3, 2006

I have a userform on which there is a frame containing 8 option boxes. After a query, the results are displayed in the form. If I have a value of 1 in a cell, optionbox1 is checked; a value of 2 checks optionbox2, etc. It works great EXCEPT when first initialized. At that point, it checks the last optionbox, even if the number is 1. I have built a next and previous feature to scan the data, and when I return to the first entry, the correct box is checked. I tried coding blanks into the fields prior to populating them, but I still get the same results. Is there some explanation available so that I may remedy this? I'd really like the first piece of data to be correct.

Ensure Only 1 OptionButton Or CheckBox Selected

Aug 22, 2008

I have a workbook containing several sheets, each sheet has a large number of ActiveX check box controls on it.

The controls are presented in groups of three to capture responses to a question (Y/N/NA). If one of the three check boxes is set to True, the other two associated check boxes must be set to False.

What I want to do is avoid having to have an On_Click event sub for every single check box.

I have written a function that will handle updating the related check boxes but I am unsure how to call this function, passing it the name of the clicked Check Box whenever any check box is clicked.

Here is my current code with an On_Click event being used to call the function:

Private Sub chk100_01Y_Click()

' Want to replace this with a dynamic sub that will be invoked
' when any Check Box is clicked and pass the name of that Check
' box to the function

Call Update(ActiveSheet.OLEObjects("chk100_01Y"))

End Sub

Pass To Cells On OptionButton Choice

Nov 8, 2006

I have the following code. I need the textbox values to pass to the cells when the option button (OB) is "moved away from"; that is, when I fill in the boxes while uner OB1, then select OB2, I want the values I put in to pass to the cells. Right now, the values passing to the cells listed under OB 1 are the values that are brought in under the enter event for OB2.

Private Sub OptionButton1_enter()
Me.TextBox1.Value = ActiveCell.Offset(0, 9).Value
Me.TextBox2.Value = ActiveCell.Offset(0, 10).Value
Me.TextBox3.Value = ActiveCell.Offset(0, 11).Value
Me.TextBox4.Value = ActiveCell.Offset(0, 12).Value
Me.TextBox5.Value = ActiveCell.Offset(0, 13).Value
Me.TextBox6.Value = ActiveCell.Offset(0, 14).Value
Me.TextBox7.Value = ActiveCell.Offset(0, 15).Value
Me.TextBox8.Value = ActiveCell.Offset(0, 16).Value

Check Box Name Changing When Checked

Jun 2, 2009

I want the name of a check box to change when it is checked or unchecked. I have a box where it is working just fine. I was given assistance to the initial code and have been using that code to create the same scenario with other check boxes on my sheet, but receive errors. I have been trying to decipher the problem to no avail. Can someone look at my codes and explain why when I copy the same formula it is not working.

The UN-Check All / Check All button is the working check box. I am trying to apply the same function to the four boxes next to Check Date and GL Post date fields.
I have reset all codes except for the last check box #34, which I have left so the error can be looked at. What I want it to do is when checked I want the name to be "Payroll GL Post Date" When Un-checked the name should be "Adjustment GL Post Date"

Run Code Only IF Checkbox Is NOT Checked

I have a code in my workbook that Runs another ceo on close. It is:

Private Sub Workbook_BeforeClose(Cancel As Boolean)

What I would like to do is have a checkbox that if checked then this code will NOT run. Can this be done?

In a perfect world what would happen is that once an e-mail was sent once then the checkbox would automatically be checked so that there is no possibility of OFA being e-mailed twice with the same info.
