Add Time & Date In Current Cell Without Losing Existing Data

Trying to create a macro that will add the date & time & initials (i.e 8/26/09 2:34 PM JOD) into the current cell.
I've found plenty of macro's that will do this but it ends up deleting any existing text within the cell. I need to be able to add it in the middle of a text string.
What is the code i need to use to assign a macro to a command button which inserts the current date and time in the selected cell regardless of where that cell is?
On opening of an excel document is it possible to have a date in a cell that will continuously update. =now() enters the date required but if i was to go into the sheet days or whatever later is there a way that this will update automatically??
I am trying to write a formula that will have the cell display todays date if it is after 2:00PM, and if it is before 2:00PM I need the cell to display Today()-1. I have tried several iterations and I'm stumped.

I needed a code that would input the current date and time in the cells in column N whenever changes were made to any cells in the row from columns A to M. For example, if I change a name in cell 6D, then cell 6N would automatically change to the current date and time.
I found a useful code on a forum (maybe here, don't know for certain) and modified it to suit my needs (see below). I am however now getting a debugging error suggesting that the second line that reads "Private Sub Worksheet_Calculate()" is causing an error.
I am looking to have a macro which will automatically add the username and date to a cell, when the cell above changes (or in this case =x). I have a bit of code from a previous project, but I have changed Target.Row to Target.Column and it is not behaving as I require:

See the attachment for the example. What I need is whenever row 3 ="x" I need the corresponding cell in row "d" to update with the latest date, time and username. Please not the macro is currently not active on the sheet as i've added the ' character.
I've been looking for an easy way to add time to a cell that has a time or date and time in it, for example, 5/31/2007 12:06:27 PM
I want to add 30 minutes to it, for example, without having to split it apart and manually add it in, worrying about adding an hour if I go over 60 minutes, etc.
If I was doing it with a cell formula, I could use "=A1 + TIME(0,30,00)" but I don't know what the equivalent would be in VBA.
I'm trying to set up a template running loads of formulas. One of the aspects I want is that a specific field refreshes with the current date, but always reverts to 10:00:00 (10AM) as the time.
I am trying to create a code so that when the save button is hit, it puts the current date and time into a given cell before it saves. This way I will know the last time something was updated and saved.

That is the layout of the spreadsheet so I would have to manually highlight rows 2 and 4 because the date in Column D is greater than 48 hours ago. The range is A1:D25 and the cells are changed/updated daily.
I am trying a macro to merge cell without losing the data until I find a next cell with the data - This merging should be pertain only for the column selected. Is it possible to write a macro and preform this activity.
I have a data set that I'm trying to sort in order to be efficient for some of my team members.
Below is an example of the raw data and how I've currently got it sorted. I think my problem may be that I am trying to join a number with a string but I'm not positive.

I need to eliminate the letter from the data, add a leading zero to all single digit numbers and sort ascendingly.
My first step is to split the data into columns using the "-" as a delimiter. I end up with 2 columns as shown below.
Col A Col B 123-45678- 1 123-45678- 10 123-45678- 2

I need a way to compare the time of the computer with the one in the cell and bring up a message box if the time matches. Yet i don't want it to be a one time makro. What i want is to be able to work with the worksheet and that at the same time i want a paralel function to check whether the time in the cell matches. Something like agenda in Outlook.
I am trying to get excel to auto populate the current date and time each time I make an entry, however, each time i make an additional entry the current date and time populates but it changes all the prior entry's with that current date and time.I am trying to keep a log of all the times I make a new entry. In cell L7 I have (80/60)/24 and formatted h:mm to get 1:20. In cell M11 I have 1:00 (h:mm). In cell M12 I have L7-M11 and get the result 0:19. Why I'm losing a minute and not getting the result 0:20?
I am working on an Inventory Spreadsheet. I have need it to date time stamp that willpopulate a different cell /field when text are entered in a different cell/field and will not change all the previous dates entered on the spreadsheetevery time I re-open the spreadsheet. I formula I am using is =IF(E3<>"",IF(D15="",NOW(),D15),"")and it changes each time I open thesheet to do the inventory so I do not know the date of the last inventory. 2.I’ve been through some other posts and I found VB code which saves the active file into specific path, but it is only useful for single workbook because multiple files are getting overwritten automatically. Is there a code which allows multiple/different files saving & creates daily folders?
I created a basic excel weekly budget and would like to know how much money I have as of todays date. on the top row I have a date range from Sunday to Saturday, so it looks like this:
09-15 16-22 23-29
with the month manually put in above it.
then below I have income and expenses with a Overall below that, so basically what I want to is see the Overall value based on todays date, not sure how to do this with the weekly range and automatic current date(which is =TODAY() as far as I know) I have attached a photo as a reference.
I have loaded a .csv file in which the first column contains date/times, e.g. 01/12/2012 00:00. How do I now tell Excel (2010) that this is in fact a date/time format? If I select one or more of the cells, click on the Number dialog box launcher and try to pick a suitable format tghe cells resolutely refuse to budge from being text (i.e. left-justified, still allows me to edit the 'seconds' component to a number > 60). Also which data type should I be using? The only one that appears to have a full date/time format listed is Custom (not Date or Time).
i am trying to create a forumla in a column (D in my expamle below) to count the number of days between two dates. Knowing that col D will change everytime the @now date changes - but thats ok..

if col b has a date then subrtract col a from b and display the # result, if col b is blank then subtract col a from location I store the @ now date - say Col ZZ Row 99? so no matter there is a count of number of days in every row in column D
I have a user form that when a command button is clicked it enters the data from the from into coloums a,b,c,etc. I have code to do this but I want to add code to add a static date in coloum B based on if coloum A had data entered from the form. In my spreadsheet, I want a macro to write date and time everytime the user change a cell with a list validation. On the table, the E column contains the status of each row. I want to know since when the status is that.
i have this excel sheet that am using as a monitoring device to track the login and log out patterns of a group of 20 agents. i am able to monitor their current state by using an external link to the local intranet and vlookup.
the status of agent can be either Logged In or Logged Out which populates in E6 to E25. the cells f6 to f25 again running vlookup shows the last login time of the agent.
what i'm looking for is this: every time the agent status changes from Logged In to Logged Out or visaversa, the corresponding blank cell in the row needs to populate the the time by value.
