I have over 100 checkboxs on an excel sheet. This sheet will be duplicated 25 times in this workbook.
How can I move this code so its not on each sheet.

I wrote a macro so that if a checkbox is "true" it will print and if it is "false" then the checkbox will not print. I want to do that on many other checkboxes but with this approach the number of macros will have to be equal to the number of checkboxes. I was wondering if someone here by writing one macro that will do the trick and i can assign to as many checkboxes as i want. my macro is

I have designed a functioning userform which transfers the data (limited or complete) into the sheet. Along with the data and at the end of each row it automatically generates 4 checkboxes and links them to 4 offset cells.
This is where I hit a dead end. I am not sure which avenue is suitable or indeed possible. I want to click any checkboxes in the first COLUMN and as a result have it change the complete ROW colorindex of the background. I did achieve this with conditional formatting but it seemed to make the empty sheet bulking when saving and I cannot alter the font size which is another goal on the 3rd column of checkboxes. Am I waffling yet?
The 3rd column checkboxes I want to have the ROW font size drop to 3pt. The 2nd and 4th currently serve no purpose i.e. trigger nothing as a result.
I don’t think I can use the checkbox_click event as the boxes are generated for me so I don’t know which number they will be. The worksheet_change event and calculate event don’t seem to register when the linked cell goes to TRUE or back to FALSE. I tried using FORMS and CONTROLS checkboxes but neither has brought me success.
I was hoping the linkedcell would trigger an event and in turn select and manipulate the entire row in which the linked cell is located….
Due to my limited knowledge the code I have written/adapted to suit my needs may appear a little unorthodox? I hope that in itself is not a problem.
I have not managed to get the Controls Checkboxes to initalise blank. Currently they appear greyed out with a tick but fully usable? Of minor importance.
I can't attach the file because the blank sheet is 4.5MB?? so here is the main body of code from the userform. If you need anything else I will supply as required, however I can't get anyfiles under the attachment maximum of 48.8kb. My jpeg image was 108kb....
i want to know how to assign a macro which will remove and place a number in a certain cell. so if i click and tick the box, then a certain figure will come into a cell(this will be a formulae) and when untick the the number will disappear.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have created a userform that contains textboxes, option boxes, and comboboxes. I need to make sure that there are no unanswered fileds when the submit button is hit. Preferably Excel would check for empty fields in the userform when submit is pressed. If Excel finds that some fields are empty it would prompt the user to correct the problem before the userform would post the data to worksheet. My efforts so far have prompted the user to change the data, but still posts the data before the change is made. Basically the submit button keeps running through the code right after it prompts the user for the change.

I have successfully created validation code that operates as a command button. The code listed below identifies in a MultiPage UserForm non- null TextBoxes whose pair of associated OptionButtons have not been selected. (The TextBox and OptionButtons all lie within a Frame and their are 60+ sets of these throughout the UserForm.) A MessageBox alerts user to select one of the OptionButtons.

1. When Checked will display a date in the cell one column to the right.
2. When checked will change colors
Secondly, since i will need to make several hundred of these I would like a macro that will allow me to define how the check box is to behave and then have a macro which will allow me to define all of the settings and then input the number of check boxes that I want and it will create that many boxes.
I recall seeing a macro on here some time ago (at least 1 month prior but no more than 6 months prior) which allowed you to type into a form how many check boxes or option boxes you wanted to create in your workbook, and then it would create that many.
I have three cells where a user will input data, in some cases (2T Weld Condition) they will only enter in B12 and C12, but in the case of a 3T weld they will also enter data in the D12 cell. I then use a formula to check for the thinnest material and that is entered into another cell with a formula, B14. I then need to check the value in B14 to verify if it is above zero, but below 0.65 (mm). If it is then I would like to have a message appear on the screen notifying the user that they are outside the acceptable range.
I cannot figure out how to use the information in cell B14 because it is a formula and my code only works with a direct value. The code I am using works if I point to one of the three input cells, B12, C12 or D12. How do I use the information in B14 to work with the code below.

I am trying to create a macro that will create a number of check boxes, which are linked different cells. I have had some success in creating multiple check boxes and having them at the destination I want the problem is that instead of linking to different cells they are all linked to the same cell. View 1 Replies View RelatedMy company uses 4 types of barcodes 8, 12, 13, & 14 number barcodes for our products my problem is that I can't figure out how to force the barcode to format properly no matter how somebody enters it if they don't use spaces or put them in the wrong spots, I can't use custom formats because there is 4 different layouts
8 digit should be "#### ####"
12 digit should be "###### ######"
13 digit should be "# ###### ######"
14 digit should be "# ## ##### ######"
these barcodes are in columns L, M, & N also right now 'm using a formula in another cell to verify the barcodes by calculating the check digit and comparing it to the check digit typed the formula i'm using is
In my current project, I have set up a worksheet with 15 comboboxes (dropdown lists).
To trigger change events, I use :

I am wondering if there is not a more efficient way to handle this.
I already have validation code to test TextBoxes for numeric values as well as the size of the numeric on a MultiPage userform. Of these 65 TextBoxes, 40 are within frames associated with two OptionButtons. Once the following conditions occur:
1) the frame’s focus is lost;
2) the textbox value is not null;
3) And the two Option Buttons’ values are both false,
I want a UserForm to load informing user that the OptionButtons must be selected. In addition, there are three different user messages one of which will be associated with one of the forty TextBoxes. The Names of the TextBoxes and their cognate pair of OptionButtons will share the same prefix, i.e., ***_Text, ***_Opt1, ***_Opt2 and the OptionButtuns Tags are labeled so as their values will get associated with the correct member of the three different messages. Along with displaying the appropriate message contained within this validating UserForm, I’d like to have the appropriate pair of Option Buttons whose selected Value gets passed to the correct option button on the main MultiPage form. The user cannot continue unless one of the OptionButtons is selected. How best is this accomplished? Should I also have the TextBox’s Tag set to a value matching its associated pair of OptionButtons? Whilst I could code this action at the time of Value submission, I’ve decided validate on the MultiPage user form rather than at the Value submission although I’m not married to this
I have a sheet with 550 checkboxes (form toolbar). I want to be able to reset the boxes to unchecked with a button. I found an example here but I seem to need the label (Ex: "Check Box 1")

It doesn't make sense I would need to leave the label showing on the sheet, but the label seems to be the identifer for each checkbox, not the named cell. So I am a little confused how to alter the code.

(I guess control checkboxes was the way to go but we are here now.)
I created a userform. Now, I want to make a sum of the textboxes in my userform and pop up a warning signal is the sum isn't 18. I tried it in different manners, but I always get some problems. I entered default values of 0 in my textboxes. When I edit the values by using the userform, the popup message will appear even though the sum of my textboxes is 18. Here is the code for the pop up warning message.

I have a workbook with multiple sheets. I want to add conditional formatting for a cell on 1 worksheet based on if multiple ActiveX controls are checked (checkboxes) on another sheet. I have 10 checkboxes (now LinkedCells named "G1" -> "G10") on worksheet "Data Entry". The formula should be if all 10 boxes are checked on the "Data Entry" worksheet, cell "A1" on the "Milestone" will be gray. Any clues on how to write the formula for this Conditional Format?

However, these variables can be chosen from a list that the user wants. So why not build in a listbox for each one. Now I have two listboxes one for variable A and one for variable B.
The procedure in theory goes something like this we change variable A from the base case and then run the procedure for variable B, get the results, then run the scenario again but changing only variable B abnd repeat. Then once, all of the variable B scenarios are done, I want to change the variable A and then repeat and so forth.
That is the background and my main problem at this point, is that have these values in two listboxes, I know how to do the for each loops and such, however, I do not know how to do them for values in the listbox.
How do I identify the values selected in the respective listboxes and then pull them so I only use them for the for each loop?
