I am trying to auto generate a calendar based on two drop down menus - Month and Year.
Once the month and year is selected I want to import all work orders onto the calendar based first on the "Labor Name" found in the list of work tab, then assign each work order for that labor name to the respective date on the calendar for the month.
There are dates in column C and I need to count how many days are coming due within 90 days of each date based on the today() function but do not exceed the 90 days.
I have a progress bar on a form......it is there for no reason other than for me to practise such things...the code came off these forums and the bar is powered by a random number...
now my problem is the moment it start running i cannot do anything on the form....i would like my bar to do it's thing but still be able to click on the cancel button to get out of the form any help on this would be fantastic
Private Sub UserForm_Activate() Dim dTime As Date Dim i As Integer
Do Until i = 100 For i = 1 To 100 Step 100 / 8 dTime = Now + TimeValue("0:00:01") Application.Wait TimeValue(dTime) ' ProgressBar1.Value = RandNumGen(1, 98, 1) 'AboutScreen.Repaint Next i 'AboutScreen.Repaint Loop
i am looking to create a macro that cycles through sub folders within a main fold and takes the same line of nformation from each workbook that it cintains.
the main folder is a yearly folder "2008" there a 12 subfolders within this named "january" to "December" (one for each of the months of the year) Within the monthly folder are four weekly forlders named "week 1" to "week 4"
each of the line in the workbook ferer to a different person so i will need to transfer all of them into individual summary workbooks. but in this example i need to take the information from A3 - K3 from each workbook.
Any 'date' or 'day' formula that will automatically insert days of the week in a column? I am attaching a sample.
I want to be able to use a drop-down menu to insert a day of the week (e.g.: Sunday) in cell B2 and have the succeeding days (Mon, Tues,Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat) populate cells C2~H2 in sequence.....
I'm looking to create a macro which displays a user entry box where the user can input a starting number and then input an ending number. The macro will then cycle through that range inputting each value into a specific cell and perform a print function. It will continue doing this until the last number in the range.
E.g. Min. Number inputted = 1 Max. Number inputted = 80 Macro will not cycle through that range: Input 1 into Sheet1 Range A1 Print Page Input 2 into Sheet1 Range A1 Print Page .....Continue doing this until it reaches 80
In my current salary sheet "Days fill auto according to given months" from 1-31 as you can see in my attached salary sheet
Salary.xls
the Big problem is i want my salary sheet give dates from 23-22 for example if i select "January" sheet should display date from "Jan-Feb" starting from 23rd Jan to 22 Feb only.... and if I select February than sheet should display date from 23rd Feb to 22 March.... and so on
and if there any blank cell left in the dates area it will highlight it with RED auto as u can see in attached sheet.
I am trying to fill a row with abbreviated days of the week. example type Wed in cell A1 and cells B1 through Z1 change to the appropriate day Thu, Fri, Sat etc. I know how to do it with the fill off the menu but want to be able to change Wed to Thu and the same cells will change.
I am new to Excel programming, haven't done any before and not familiar with creating/editing macros. Using Excel 2007.
I would like to automatically lock all the cells in a row if the date in column A in that row is >= 7 days old. Data is entered once a week (some time Sunday - Saturday) and I would like historical data (rows) to be locked so that they can't be edited inadvertently.
If possible could I also highlight the current working week somehow?
I have attached the worksheet : testworksheet.xlsx
Possible to auto count and auto sum based on Unique ID.
Download link to the file in question [URL] ..........
So for Example ID 79125 should get a sum 537.39 and count should be 12, also in any given week like 50 , 51 , 52 , week 1 etc.., duplicate entries must be all counted as 1
I have a series of data that acts upon a traffic light system, i.e. Green, Amber and Red. These variables are posted along row 1 for example and there are 10 columns. Per column I have a tick and cross to answer a question. How can I find out how many ticks were on green days, amber days and red days? I have attached an example.
i am trying to create a excel macro to auto populate all the dates with reference to a start date and end date. The catch is that only working days are required in the range. My reference cells (start and end date) are in Sheet 1 while the destination cell range are in Sheet 2. The reason for creating a macro instead of a function is that the intervals between the start date and end date changes frequently (annual, semi-annual and quarterly) Best case scenario would be a button which I can just press after i input the dates to generate the range of dates in another sheet.
So I have been playing around with the tab colors on my workbook and am trying to figure out the correlation between color brightness and the auto change from black text to white text. I've noticed that if the Green color value is higher, excel is more likely to use the black text. If Blue is high, white. Green takes precedence over Blue and Red is just kind of in its own world.how excel calculates this?
I am trying to auto-populate text in cells in area A, based on data I enter into other cells in area B. I want the area A cells to be for display only, as all editing will be done in area B. The problem is: how do I do this such that the text I write does not get cut off if is longer than the column width? See the attached document for a clear example and description of what I am trying to do...
I'm starting a dashboard, where on the front page I have two combo boxes on the left, and three empty fields to the right. I'd like the three fields to the right to auto-populate table-based values depending on the chosen criteria from BOTH fields (by store and month/date). I've attached a sample of what I've got so far. I've only provided three tables for this example, and I have a table with the same column/row titles for each metric and I have three different metrics I'd like to auto populate: COGs, Sales, and GM% or in the example, metric 1, metric 2, metric 3. No pattern in the table values, just wanted to populate the fields quickly. All fields are organized by store/month-date and I've set up a link to my combo boxes on a calculations tab.
I am attempting to create a template to input specific dates. If a student submits an assignment on the due date, I have set up the spreadsheet to conditionally format whether the assignment was late or not. In addition, I have a column for when feedback is to be submitted and whether it was on time or not. My problem is this...
I cannot figure out a formula or a way to determine: If the student submits the assignment late, when will the feedback be due? For example, if submitted one day late, the instructor has an extra day to submit feedback. Two days late is an extra two days to work on it etc..
I am now trying to create a excel macro to auto populate all the dates with reference to a start date and end date. The catch is that only working days are required in the range. We want to count the numbers of days between two dates however of 2nd date is null...count till todays date
If ActivityType is "E" and DDate is null Count number of days from EDate till Today(). If ActivityType is "D", Count number of days between EDate and DDate. Column F is the desired result, Number are asuming todays date is 10/31/2013
is there a formula that will say how many days there are in a month ?
B9 contains the a refrence to the first day of the month eg 1/7/2008 I want the cell above it (B8) to return 31. If the date reference is 1/6/2008 I want (B8) to return 30.
I'm using it to pro rata by the number of days in a month.
I have a date in col A and a time in col B. I'm trying to use an if function so that if time in Col B is greater than 15:30, the date in col A is returned plus one day. If time in col B is less than 15:30, date in col A returned with no change.
I have a list of data that displays data by day, I want to select only the data for the for the current month and then the same day time frame for previous months in the data set.
E.g.
Today's date 08/07 Full days into month 7
Formula to sum data in columns B that only looks at dates 01/07-07/7
I will the adjust that formula for a January date that only pulls data for 01/01-01/07
I know I will earn $5,000 of monthly revenue from a client. $5,000 is represented in a monthly revenue cell. I have 12 columns showing the 12 months of the year. There is an additional cell showing the customers implementation date.
If a company's implementation date is on or after the 15th of the month (example: 3/28/2014) then the next month (April 2014) is skipped and the $5,000 is returned to columns May through December. All months prior to May return $0.00. If the implementation date is before the 15th day of the month (example: 3/13/2014) then the next month (April 2014) and all months after will return $5,000. All months including March and prior must return $0.00. If the implementation date is unknown then 12/31/2099 would be in the implementation date cell and $0.00 is returned for all 12 months.
Essentially, if the implementation date is prior to the 15th of the month the revenue will show as of the following month. If the implementation date is on or after the 15th of the month the revenue skips the following month and will show the month after.
