I have in cell A2 =NOW()
in cell A3 do = A2-A1
Format that to General
In Cell A4 do =A3/365
Format that to no deciamal places and you get the age - this one is adding a year to everyones age?
2) Alternatively, if the DOB is A1 :-
=INT(YEARFRAC(A1,TODAY(),1)) - This one does not work it is saying there is an error with the "yearfrac"?
It is also when I am trying to put these into a pivot table, the pivot table is listing these down to 5 decimal places( when I have formatted to zero)????

Is it possible to convert a students DoB into their term of birth (ToB).
I.e. a student has the DoB of 1/1/2001 which would mean their ToB would be 'Spring'

If a DoB falls into one of three groups
1/1/year to 30/4/year = 'Spring'
1/5/year to 31/8/year = 'Summer'
1/9/year to 31/12/year = 'Autumn'
The year of birth is irrelevant, it's the month which determines the 'term of birth' (Spring/Summer/Autumn).

I have got a database wherein it contains the details like Employee Name, Birth Date, Date of Joining, etc in Sheet1. Suppose, Employee AAA birth date is 30/Jul/1980. When on 30th July 2009, it should display the Employee Id in Cell C3.
How should I lookup for the current date & month from the Employee Birth Date?

However the date of births are all in a simple reverse formate, eg
19790822 would be 22nd August 1979
Ideally, i would take this number and the output would just be the persons age in whole years.

I have a list of students with associated Schools
For each High School -Based on students Date of Birth (DOB) I am trying to get a count for:
Students UNDER 16 DOB before 8/25/91 and for each high school students over 16 DOB after 8/25/91
I thought subtototals, countif , maybe a pivot table to break down by school then do the 2 counts -
but I am at a loss for a formula to do the count
I have attached a sample file but the actual file has thousands of students and 23 different High schools which is why I was trying for subtotals or Pivot

I have a about 1200 rows with a column of student's birth dates. I need to convert the dates to ages and have them inputted in the next column Ages. I ran the code in the 'Age' column and it worked for the first birth date. But I do not know how to copy the code to the rest of the rows so it will convert every birth date in each row.

In the file attached there is only the data to look at, though file is little bit lager.
Now in cell G10 I've got the stock forecast in 3 months time, this stock forecast is calculated from a date rounded to the closest month (according to my criteria), then the formula looks at the reference number cell D1 to work out the formula. All the steps are in the file.
In order to be more accurate my boss and I want to use the exact date, so that delete all the round month process. My intention is to use the day of the date and then make a fraction of the months to calculate the average. Taking into account that a month have as an average of 30.4166 days.
In the file I did an example, to clarify my messy explanation.
Cells B2, C2, D2 won't be needed in order to do so.

how many debits can take place in my Savings Account if I provide the Current Balance and the No of Debits,Amount of Debits,Frequency of Each Debit.
Lets say, I have Rs 42978/- in my savings account at this moment and I have 2 different Debits taking place on different dates of the Month.
First Debit of Rs 750/- (12th of Month)
Second Debit of Rs 584/- ( 27th of Month)
I am also planning to add one more debit EMI (Equated Onthly Installments)for Rs 1127/- every month.
I need to know the No of Months I can go without paying my Savings Account as well as the Month and the year.
I have tried doing it the regular way but it becomes quite cumbersome, I am looking for help in terms of a better design or a Template as some single-cell (hopefully) formula which can incorporate the number of Debits,Amounts etc.
One very important thing is to also keep a track of the Balance not going below an "X" amount and that is Rs 1500/- as thats the Bank's Minimum Balance requirement..
The no of Installments are as mentioned below:

I have been playing around with COUNTIF formulas but cannot seem to work this out.
I'm trying to figure out how to write a formula to add up hours that were attended for various individuals. My data is coming in from scanning their barcodes, so I'd rather not manually add their hours. I have these columns: Date, Time, First, Last, Member ID, CEU. My hope is that I can take the Member ID and write a formula that adds up the CEU column.
This issue I'm having is how to deal with the variables of someone only attending two sessions, while another attends four? I'm not sure how to do this so I'm seeing if anyone knows if this can this be done?
I've a sheet that records performance on individuals, what it does is collate the performance daily on certain things.
Most are simple plus/minus one and i have control buttons that do this,what it does is: On click it adds one to a different sheet, or if to remove it minuses one, and there is a total box to sum these figures.
But there is also some provision to add collected money value, and what i would like to do is have a function that deletes the last figure added to the financial transactions

in A6 £10.50 is added, but i can't think how i can provide a service that will delete the last figure in Sheet 2 range A, as this will be constantly changing.
I have monthly a list of 2,500 people with an allowance value for each individual shown.
Problem I got is that sometimes there is more than one allowance entry for the individual in each month. I just need the total for the individual in that month. Each month is on a separate worksheet. I have been racking my head, but I can’t figure how I can look at the list of people (who have a unique number) and just total it.

What I'm trying too do is open a file, make an exact copy and save it under a new file name.
My problem is in the date formula the day is not always the same. In the sample case it's 03 at other times the day will change.
is there a way too get this too work irregardles of what the day might be?
I am using a pivot table to explore the relationship between the two variables in a survey. Question 1 is a "choose all that apply" question, while Question 2 is more "if you said yes to any in question 1, choose all that apply".
So, I have about 10 filters for question 1, where each combination will give me a different number for the responses for question 2. My question is this: How do I get excel to automatically find the # of individuals with the particular combination of filters in question 1?
Ie. if said yes to 3/10 options in question 1, how do I get excel to find out how many actually said yes to the 3/10 questions.
The purpose of this data is for reference to question #2, so that i can utilize some percentages.

No matter the information in the range, the statement is returning "0" (or "12:00:00") - I have tried setting d1ST as a date and double data type.
