Calender Control On Worksheet Shrinks
Sep 10, 2006
I have a spreadsheet with many cells that require a date. I have added calendar control 11.0 and running it with the code below. The problem is, that everytime the sheet is opened, the calendar gradually gets smaller and smaller each time the workbook is opened. I have tried resizing through formatting the object, but after opening the workbook several times, it's has shrunk down to unusable again.
Private Sub Calendar1_Click()
ActiveCell.Value = CDbl(Calendar1.Value)
ActiveCell.NumberFormat = "mm/dd/yy"
ActiveCell.Select
End Sub
Private Sub Worksheet_SelectionChange(ByVal Target As Range)
If Target.Cells.Count > 1 Then Exit Sub
If Not Application.Intersect(Range("B161:B184,I161:I184,P161: P184,"), Target) Is Nothing Then
Calendar1.Left = Target.Left
Calendar1.Top = Target.Top + Target.Height
Calendar1.Visible = True
' select Today's date in the Calendar
Calendar1.Value = Date
ElseIf Calendar1.Visible Then Calendar1.Visible = False
End If
End Sub

I created an Excel timesheet, no VBA, which 65 people are using. 64 without a problem but the 65th cannot print the sheet as others can. The last cell on the single sheet is AB61. For the 64 who can print it by selecting the fit to print on one page the percent is 71. For the one person with problems the percent goes down to 10. Even when she opens the read only version on the network it becomes 10%. I checked the magins and everything else I can think of. Short of reinstalling Excel (2000 with Windows 2000)

Within the ComboBox properties, is there anyway to control after "enter" his hit, you move to the right instead of down (similar to the edit under Tools/Options)?

I have created an excel worksheet that will provide budgeting and estimating tools for my project managers. All data used to be manual entry and took a good while to complete. I am trying to automate the process with VBA.
I created a UserForm called InfoVerify1. On that form I have TextBox 1 - 10. When the UF opens, the boxes display project information from my worksheet called "Basis of Estimate", also known as Sheet26.
The TextBox1 ControlSource is set to "E4". When I run the macro with Sheet26 active, the proper information fills in. However, when I am on the Start page or any other worksheet and I run the macro, it tries to fill in the text boxes with E4, etc, from the active sheet. I tried changing the ControlSource to "Sheet26,E4" or any combo thereof with only error messages.
how to get it to refer to a cell on a particular worksheet and hold to that worksheet no matter which sheet I am on at the time I run the Userform?

I would like to use the RefEdit control in a worksheet in order to select a range of cells and pass its address to a different cell without code.
I thought of using the LinkedCell property of the RefEdit as I used it for a ComboBox.

When I place an ActiveX TabStrip or a MultiPage onto a spreadsheet, and then try to put a ComboBox onto the TabStrip, the ComboBox will fall behind the TabStrip when I run my pointer across the TabStrip. I used the Arange order from the Draw toolbar to place ComboBox on top and the TabStrip behind, but to no avail. (I would love to use a User Form but lack the VBA know how).

I wish to be able to calculate the % of a particular task that is done in a calender year based on the task start date and duration.
Columns Headings:
A: Start Date
B: Duration (months)
C: End Date (= Start date + (duration * (365/12)))
D: 2009
E: 2010
F: 2011
G: 2012, etc
Examples:
Start Duration End Date 2009 2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 etc
1 Jul 09 12 1 Jul 10 50% 50%
1 Nov 09 12 1 Nov 10 17% 83%
1 Nov 10 36 31 Oct 13 6% 33% 33% 28%
So there are two inputs and the outputs (%'s) are calculated for each year.

I found this code on this forum for a pop calendar. I created one for my user form, how ever I would like the calenadar to pop up when the user places the curser in the text box, when the user has slected the required date the calendar closes and the date the he/she selected is entered into the text box in which they placed the curser.
My userform is called userform1 and the calendar is called userform3
Private Sub Calendar1_Click()
Range("A1") = Calendar1.Value
Calendar1.Visible = False
End Sub
Private Sub CommandButton1_Click()
Calendar1.Visible = True
End Sub
The above code works on a putting the information into cell A1 and not the text box, also it has a command button action, which I don't want

I want to know how to make a spreadsheet automatically control the zoom of a worksheet depending on the size of the screen it is opened on. For example, if it is opened on a screen of a certain size then it will set the zoom to 80% so the worksheet will show only a certain section. I want my worksheets to look the same on even the larger screens and not show the unused rows and columns around the section I am wanting to highlight.
In a previous thread I was told I might need to write an API to help me with achieving this. First of all, what is an API? Secondly, how do I go about writing one?

how to get a list of the properties for form control shapes (not control toolbox shapes) that are placed on a worksheet (not on a userform). Eg., a button, checkbox, combobox, etc.
If it's possible, I'm interested in working with properties like "enabled", "caption", etc. that aren't listed on the "Format Control Properties" dialog.
I understand you can edit properties of a form control shape via VBA code (See example below), however, I can't seem to find anything within the object browser about them.
EXAMPLE
With ActiveSheet.Shapes("Scroll Bar 2").ControlFormat
.Min = 10
.Max = 150
End With

In my excel I want to use a calender date such as 05/21/09 and automatically add or subtract a specific number of days. For example: 10 days before 05/21/09....
I dont want to have to count back 10 days and manually enter it. Is there a way to have excel calculate and give me the date in my spreadsheet? i.e. automatically calculate (05/12/09)-(10 days)= 5/11/09. its not too hard when its 10 days, but when its -97 days, it can be very annoying.

The current code which I did can only pop up a caledar when I click on cell D4. Is there a way I can program it such that, if I click on D5-D7 and E4 - E7, the same calendar will pop out also?
Also, there bug which I found in this code, that if I click on D4 once, the calendar will appear. After I select the date, the calendar dissppear. The bug will occur when i try to click on D4 again, the calendar will not pop up. it will only appear after i click on any other cell, then back to D4.

I have a Form created using the Control toolbox within Excel... The data is then transfer to another spreadsheet using linked cell within the properties i can then copy and paste into a master spreadsheet...
This form is emailed to an individual who then populates and emails it back to myself... Everything is working fine but now i would like to include a pop out calendar... I have managed to create the calendar but would like it to input the data into a Text Box rather than an active cell... Once this date is put into the active cell i can then mirror this back to the other spreadsheet using linked cell in properties

I am creating a main worksheet (Legend) in which information will be entered and then populate to other areas (worksheets) within the workbook. I would like to create a print macro - that will run and print all the worksheets that we have selected on the "legend" page. These worksheets would have been selected by ticking a check box.
My question is how to associate a check box to a worksheet? For example - the second worksheet is named " Schedule A" 3rd "Schedule B" and so on.
- The check boxes will be name schedule A, Schedule B and so on.
- I would like to associate (link) the checkbox Schedule A with the Worksheet of the same name. Then when this checkbox is selected, and the print macro runs it will print the worksheets that are selected.

I have another sheet where there is a column with all the days of the year. What is the correct syntaxis for transferring the total cash to the cell next to the right date in the other sheet every time i push the "payed" button (am I making any sense...?). And is there a way to reset the total amount back to zero automatically whenever the day changes?

I'd like to use a calender ifor this. To start, I did the following:
From Control Toolbox - More Controls - I selected:
Miscrosoft MonthView Control 6.0 (SP4)
This placed a calendar on my worksheet.
What I would like to do is the following
1. Calender Display
1a. When a next button is selected in my wizard it moves to a new form. (Got this done)
1b. The Userform has buttons: "Select Start Date", "Next", and "Cancel" (Got this done)
1c. When user selects date button, this triggers the 'Calender' to display.
Currently, ithe calender is still showing, so I first need to hide it.
It seems to be called "MonthView1" and has the following in the formula bar when Control Toolbox is in edit mode:
=EMBED("MSComCtl2.MonthView.2","")
2. Date selection
2a. User selects a date on the calender. (Easy if calender is displayed)
2b. User selects next button in User Form. (Triggers what follows....)
3. Variable assigned from selection
3a. 'Next' hides the calendar.
3b. 'Next' calls a marco that assigns the date selected from calender to a date variable.
sDate = ???.Value where ???=selected value from calender
3c. 'Next' hides current form and moves on to next in wizard sequence (I can do this)

Some people throughout our company were having problems using the excel form I created which contains a popup calender. Even with the mscal.ocx installed some people were having issues.
I found a popup calender that can be integrated into the form, and doesn't rely on the mscal.ocx. I put this into the form (that MANY people here helped create), and now all of the people that use the form no longer have any issues.

I find this difficult to explain, so have attached an example. I need to total all entries on a calender that are entered after a specific date. EG:
If the given date is 15 Sept 08, I need all values in Sept - Mar to be totalled. I am measuring data on numerous spreadsheets, all others have specific start dates and finish dates, so its a simple a1-b1 to get the number of days, multiplied by costs. This particular spreadsheet is laid out in calender format, hence the problem)
