I would like to know if it's possibale to use VB, to auto manage these levels
IE, 1 box asks for the part number 2nd asks you how many 3rd/4th boxes are "+", "-"
When + or - is pressed the part number will automatically add's/subtracts that part level. I had 10x abcde's I enter 2 in "How Many", then press "-" it will then adjust the level from 10 to 8

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have an opening balance colum for the month(I5), then a colum for receival stock for each week in the month + total of stock received for the month(O5), also a colum for delivered stock for each week in the month+ a total deliverd for the month(U5). I wish to then calculate the closing balance in (V5)
Therefore the simple formula =(05-U5)+I5 with the product dispalyed in (V5)
opening balance 3 units(I5) receivals =0(O5) deliveries = 3(U5) closing balance should equal =0 (V5). However the product displayed in V5 is incorrect and shows 6
What am i doing wrong? what formula will give me the correct answer to this equasion?
I've set-up a basic stock control spreadsheet. Part of this requires updating prices of products. My approach was to use 3 columns A,B & C. C would show the current unit price of a product. Where there is a change in price this would be entered in A which would then result in a new average unit price to be calculated automatically in C. When ever this change occurs i need the then 'old' price which was in C to be shown in B aswell.
I've tried using various averaging formulaes but i'm thinking they were probably to basic or just plain wrong

I have built a quoting tool and Userforms to act as a user interface to this tool. The userforms basically just feed user input back to relevant sheets. I have a number of textboxes, listboxes and radio buttons on multipages. Now the issue is that each control has an Afterupdate or Change event associated with it. Consider this scenario:
I have 4 product categories (represented by radio buttons) : Cat A, Cat B, Cat C, Cat D
Each category can have up to 10 line items which are represented by combo boxes.
Now lets say the user has selected Cat A radio button, he selects a product from the combo box (the cursor or focus is still on the combo box) and clicks on Cat B radio button. Here is the issue: on the first click, Afterupdate or Change event of Combo box fires but radio button is still unselected. The user has to click Cat B radio button AGAIN to select Cat B radio button. So essentially it takes two clicks with a slight pause between them to change categories.
One way to avoid this is to press Enter or 'tab through' each field. But this is not very intuitive. I have tried using Exit, Afterupdate, Exit, Change events without success. I can't use ControlSource option because the cell to input info to is dynamically selected. I have used xlCalculationManual for some text boxes but can't use this since some inputs on the userforms depend on the right value being calculated on the sheet.
i have a textbox on top of a picture box but i cannot replicate it with a new textbox or combobox.
when i place the control on the picture box it disapears?
I am attempting to put in some dropdown boxes and text boxes and maybe some other items using the control toolbox in Excel. After a selection is made I would like to count that particular item. I was using the validation method in which all I needed was the following to sum up the selections made: =SUMIF(G:G,"Monday",I:I)
Now I realize this will not work due to the fact the control toolbox controls are embeded and merley sit on the cells. How do I sum selections made using drop down boxes that are derived from the control toolbox? If someone can give me an example to try or point me to a place to find such information that would be great.

It seems I cannot reference the controls because I they are added at runtime. For the given example, I want to run whatever procedure name appears for lblPrimaryContact in column AC (click event). So in my userform module I instantiate the class, but I get an error when I try and reference the control:

I want to access the Properties of a number of controls in a running form, and these controls may or may not be contained in a Frame or a MultiPage.
In particular I want the Top and Left for these controls, which means I have to first find out if the control is contained in a Frame or MultiPage so I can get the reference for Top and Left. I'm ok with doing this for controls inside a Frame, but the MultiPage is eluding me. I get an error when I try to access these controls and it looks like they are actually owned by the individual Pages of the MultiPage.

This way i can just print sheet2 and send it to the supplier without having the entire 100 items displayed -if it does not need to be ordered?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have created an excel worksheet that will provide budgeting and estimating tools for my project managers. All data used to be manual entry and took a good while to complete. I am trying to automate the process with VBA.
I created a UserForm called InfoVerify1. On that form I have TextBox 1 - 10. When the UF opens, the boxes display project information from my worksheet called "Basis of Estimate", also known as Sheet26.
The TextBox1 ControlSource is set to "E4". When I run the macro with Sheet26 active, the proper information fills in. However, when I am on the Start page or any other worksheet and I run the macro, it tries to fill in the text boxes with E4, etc, from the active sheet. I tried changing the ControlSource to "Sheet26,E4" or any combo thereof with only error messages.

In my current project, I have set up a worksheet with 15 comboboxes (dropdown lists).
To trigger change events, I use :

I have problems wit setting some ActiveX controls properties. If I place ActiveX on worksheet manually, it is diferrent object, then If I place it by VBA code. I, am not able to open properities window for controls created by VBA. When I open properties window for ActiveX created manually, there is property fmbackstyle. If I am trying to set this property by VBA for controls created by VBA, result is error.

I created a macro to create command buttons on sheet 1 of my worksheet. The created buttons using oleobject and class type: forms.commandbutton1, creates an object with no properties on the sheet (i.e. if you right click on it excel thinks it's an object and not a control.) If I select the combobox option of "Years", the "Quarters" combobox must be greyed out. In addition depending on which option is chosen, the relevant check boxes must be enabeled or disabled. I need to make several exact duplicates of an existing worksheet which includes several form controls. Basic Copy/ Paste the worksheet works well but row heights are different and hidden rows are unhidden. Is there a way to make an EXACT duplicate ?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a worksheet with lots of things going on... the end user needs access to the Name field, DOB field, all the scroll and form control option buttons in the 9-question sheet, and the macro-enabled reset button at the bottom. Formulas are sprinkled throughout the worksheet, in columns T through AC... option button links go to AA and AB.
I would like to protect the entire sheet so none of the fields, except where indicated above, could be selected or edited... but when I protect the sheet, I get errors when trying to use you form controls, and the formulas do not respond. And finally, when protected, I get a debug error on the reset macro.
