I have a hundred or more spreadsheets that I will be applying a utility to. I want to use one button on each sheet to call a form in the utility workbook. That form will have buttons that call individual parts of the utility.
I tried application.run("utility.xlsm!frmStart"). No dice.
I also tried: "utility.xlsm!frmStart". Same result.
How can I overcome this.
The reason I want my forms in a different workbook is the difficulty with maintenance and installation.
I've assigned a single macro to numerous Form Checkboxes (not ActiveX). I'd like the macro to be able to identify the Checkbox calling it, so that if for example, if it were fired by clicking "Check Box 41", the macro should know that.
Is this possible, or must I use an ActiveX control?
I'm trying to call a form I've created when the Print command is run (so when someone prints the document, the document number gets incremented.
I believe I have the command buttons setup correctly, as they aren't giving me any errors in the code, but when I do click the print button, the form isn't popping up. Could anyone give me a hint as to the direction to take?
I'm wondering if it's possible from a button placed on a userform to call the pivot wizard and then create a pivot table, which is then saved and imported into my form ??
1. I have text message on Excel Sheet 1. I have designed a form that has Multiple Check Boxes. Primary, CO-applicant and Co-signer vertically placed. And I have 3 Check Boxes that have been placed Horizontally Alerts, Public records and Mismatch Information.
What I am looking is I should be able to Pick 1 or all the 3 from Vertical Check Box which would be Primary, or co-applicant and Co-signer and also appropriately pick any from the Horizontal Check Boxes Alerts, Public Records and Mismatch Info.
For example: I the Text Box1 below should appear like this:
Primary: DOB Mismatch or and Bankruptcy any of those options.
Similarly for Co-applicant and Co-signer.
2. I have a Text Box2 on Comments page. The information from Text Box 1 Appears in Text Box 2. Once the form is run I am unable to make corrections if any in Text Box 2. Is it possible for me to edit the test that is copied in Text Box 2.
I have a set of eight files, each of which is refreshed daily through a macro. I wanted to set up a master macro in a separate file that would open up each of the eight in turn, calls its refresh macro (which saves and closes the workbook), and then open up the next one, etc. I've searched the board and Help on this subject, but I keep getting an error:

I'm only working on one file right now; I'll add the others when I get this one going. The error message I get is "1004" "The macro VERIFICATION HOLDS 1000 PLUS.xls!V1000Refresh cannot be found." It occurs when the Application.Run statement attempts to execute.
What obvious thing am I missing here? I have checked all the spellings, etc., so it's not something like that.
I have been combining multiple macro's into one large Macro and after research, it seems that only the call function works without any hitches.
Is there a way to use the call feature in one workbook while the macro's themselves, 5 or 6 of them, are in another workbook that is closed?
All users would have access to both workbooks.
The reason I am trying this is because I do not want all the other users to have to choose between multiple macro's and some of my colleagues like to use a radio button to link to the workbook. so it needs to have one file in it...
I have designed a multipage userform which is executed through a toolbar button in my Excel. How can I access this Userform from another workbook with a different file name?
I have tried by using the tool>References and checking the VBAProject in the original workbook, however, when I click on the toolbar button in Excel (to activate the userform dialog box), the error message "A document with the filename already exists. Cannot open two documents with same name." Problem is....the filenames are not the same.

I want to copy a named range from an external workbook. Currently I am using some VBA copied from a recorded macro that first opend the 2nd workbook and then selects the named range, changes back to the original workbook and drops the copied range into the active workbook.
I would like to find a way to get around having to open the reference workbook, and instead simply point to the proper workbook name and named range.

How do I get the final 2 lines of code to execute?
I have a macro running in a workbook that gathers some data (a date, a string and a few arrays). Towards the end of this macro, I need it to open another workbook and run a macro that sits in this other workbook, using the data from the first workbook. I then need it to return some results (several integers) back to the first macro to be pasted into the first workbook.
I gather that I can't use 'Call' as the second macro is in another workbook.
I've found that I can use Application.Run but I'm unsure how to carry variables back and forth using this.
How to move the variables between macros / workbooks using the Application.Run option, or maybe another way of doing things?
All i did was i just created a form to open a workbook from the directories.

I have a workbook with a worksheet that contains 25+ graphs. The users scroll thru them vertically or hit print. I'd like to add a form that would sit on top of the worksheet that would have hyperlinks to various sections of the charts so the users can jump to a specific area w/out scrolling.
Is this possible and how would I do it. I know how to add hyperlinks to worksheet. I am not sure if/how I could add a form and have the hyperlinks therein.
Have 2 workbooks very similar and need to copy a working user form to newer workbook. Exported and Imported the user form to the new VBA project but can't figure how to bring user form into the new worksheet.
How can I import specific cells from say Workbook A and B to Workbook C automatically? For example. As I type in a cell in Workbook A then Workbook C reflects it straight away. Same as when I typ in Workbook B the C updates automatically. The end result will be that Workbook C automatically updates itself to show data from specific cells in Workbooks A &B.

i'm trying to put together a spreadsheet using excel 97 that uses forms for data input & display - the spreadsheet itself is used solely for data storage & no editing is done directly to ensure people aren't trying to mess about with the spreadsheet i thought it would be an idea to minimise excel when the spreadsheet is launched & have the forms pop up on screen instead. the problem i've got is getting the first form on screen whilst excel is minimised

the spreadsheet minimises, but the form doesn't display - the excel taskbar button flashes to indicate something is going on clicking the taskbar button brings up the form & keeps excel minimised....but the staff who will be using this won't be happy with this at all!!!
I have an excel file with data in it.I also have designed an user form so that the user can select few options in that to filter the excel file and get a new file. The reason i am doing this is because the people who are going to use this do not have any knowledge of excel. In the sample attached, the tab "Data" has the data in it. The User form should filter this particular sheet and throw out a new file. In the userform, I have mentioned the fields to be filtered.
I need to filter data based on criteria based on user input form that is in another workbook. For example, I have a list of departments, I want to create a userform for the user to enter department number and then have excel filter only the data belonging to that department. The person will then update the department records and save the file.

I have a form that displays when i open a workbook. I enter data into the form's fields (listbox & textbox). When I click the form's "OK" button, the focus doesn't return to the current worksheet, and in fact, focus doesn't return to any of the open windows / applications I have open.
I have the following code that displays a form at a user defined time and if the user does not press "Stop" then the workbook saves and closes. The user can press stop then the workbook remains open.

Now, my question is about a timer that I can show on a form. When the form is displayed I would like to give the user 30 seconds to press stop (and keep the workbook open) or to press proceed and save and close or to not do anything and the workbook would close and save when the timer reaches zero.
