Return Focus To Workbook/worksheet After Updating Form

I have a form that displays when i open a workbook. I enter data into the form's fields (listbox & textbox). When I click the form's "OK" button, the focus doesn't return to the current worksheet, and in fact, focus doesn't return to any of the open windows / applications I have open.

I have a userform, when using the form it has focus, once I click on my "Ok" command button I want to return focus to the workbook while I leave the userform open. I already have the userform open and on top of the workbook.

I have a workbook developed in Excel 2007 (compatibility mode) that contains Userform4. This form can be displayed (or not) depending in the wishes of the user. What I am trying to do is return focus to the worksheet after the UserForm is displayed.

I have an active form that is always in focus. I would like to be able to seamlessly transition back to the worksheets under it, and move back and forth between the worksheet entry and form entry. Is there some way to alter the focus between events to do so (like a mouse over type event)? Currently, I can only exit the form to get back to the worksheet. excel 03 sp3

i would like to retain the focus of the current cell before the user clicks on a button to run a macro (see below) to open a userform...?

(the cell focus seems to disapper...after the button is clicked, but does stay on the cell when i run the macro from tools macros...)

I have SS that I have 3 levels of users using/viewing data and at the moment it does not allow for errors when inputing password & sheet number to access. What I need is that if there is an error in password or sheetnumber ths user gets the choice to re-enter correct data with vbYesNo or similar. The problem I have is with these lines of code not getting the focus back to txtSheet to re-enter correct data (>0 & <13).

I have a spread sheet where i want to display help text when cells are activated. I do not want to use comments as i both do not like the red triangle and also have not found a way to controll the position of the text box. When I use the event Worksheet_SelectionChange I can display a custom box but the box "retains focus" and i can not enter the data until i "reclick" on the cell in the sheet. The box then goes away when i select another cell. Is there a way to fix this or a different method entirely. I am using Excel 2007.

I have a user form that places data in the proper place, although I don’t have a way to update this data at a later time, other than going to the row and scrolling through the columns that need to be updated, of course my boss really doesn’t want to look at row and columns.
What would be cool is if the user could select a row by double clicking the row number so as to highlight the row, I have a search function that they could use to find the proper row of data. Then have the data go back into the user form to either be changed or to fill in other textboxes that were left blank the first time. For instance, this example is about automobiles, the user wants to populate fields about MPG or repairs made at EOY.

As part of a UserForm I am Validating and Formatting in one pass. The problem I'm having is that when the Validation fails, I get the error message, and the focus moves on to the next text box.

I've got a worksheet with a cell called "cellName" and a button "cmdSearch". When I enter a string in cellName and press cmdSearch a query is done on a database and the result is returned to the form. Now, when I enter text into cellName I then have to click on a different cell before I can click on cmdSearch. What I'd like to do is have cmdSearch take focus if I press enter in cellName. I know how to do this with a UserForm, but I like having all of this on the worksheet and not dealling with a popup box.

I've made a non-modal 'Toolbox' form that floats over my worksheets. When a button is clicked a graphic item is copied from a hidden sheet and pasted into the current sheet. The graphic remains selected but the toolbox form takes the focus away from the sheet. When the user wants to move the graphic there is no problem in mouse-dragging but I'd like the user to be able to nudge the graphic using the keyboard arrow keys without having to click to give the sheet the focus. So, I guess the question is: How can I give focus to the worksheet following the Paste action?

i am creating an add in that will allow me to display all pivot tables in a workbook, their name, sheet location and source data in al listbox (called LBPivot) on a form (called FrmPivot)
My problem is that i am not sure how to make sure it points the focus to the activeworkbook and not the actual add in workbook?

Overview: I have a workbook named MainPage.xls. This mainpage has several buttons and serves as a switchboard to launch other workbooks. Attached to this Main Page are two worksheets, "Source" and "Value1". The "Source" worksheet is graphical in nature and is used to collect data via a DDE channel to some production industrial processors and then on a timer "log" the data to cells in the "Value1" worksheet. Once the VB code is launched from the "Source" worksheet (via a start button), the code continues to run until it is stopped (via a stop button). The data is then graphed and printed out, etc.
This works very nicely and provides "live" graphing of some constantly changing data.
Once the "Source" worksheet data VB code is running, I need to be able to minimize the worksheets and return to my Main Page and further be able to open any one of the other workbooks on the Main Page and work with that page(s). Thus far, I can minimize the "Source" and "Value1" worksheets and return to the Main Page and the VB code runs along nicely in the background.
However... IF I attempt to open any other workbook from the Main Page, my data collection/graphing code stops and I get a Run-time error 9, subscript out of range... and Excel completely shuts down.
I know this must have something to do with the worksheet that runs the VB code losing focus when another workbook is opened.

I have an excel program that uses a modeless userform. often times i will open other spreadsheets while the form is active or minimized. if i return to the form and run it without manually bringing focus to the appropriate workbook, i get an error because it references the wrong workbook. is there a way to keep that form tied to that workbook no matter what? also, it is important that this procedure works despite the workbook name changing.

I have a workbook that prompts a user with a msgbox and then a SaveAs dialog. It works but when users intend to open the workbook from Internet Explorer, the SaveAs dialog stays behind the browser and everything freezes. Ideally I would want the workbook SaveAs to stay on top till user saves the workbook. Any help?. Here is my Open and Save code.

When the workbook opens, sheet 1 is selected. There is an activex textbox on sheet 1 that should receive focus.
using "textbox1.setfocus" or textbox1.activate" does not accomplish what I need. I have also applied this the setfocus and activate to the worksheet open event but without success.

OK, two files attached in the zipfile, pricelist-half.xls and pricelist-full.xls
The background is that i exported a file from our warehouse system so we could update prices and re-import it. That is the pricelist-half.xls
After our staff had spent a few days working on it, it came to light that (as the name suggests!) its only about half the products that should have been exported that are on the list.
Hence the second file, pricelist-full.xls which as its name suggests is the full
product list.
What I need to happen, to make this as painless as possible, is somehow for the items/rows that are on the full list, but not on the half list to be inserted to the half list but also have a yellow background for their rows so they stand out clearly.

I use a excel sheet for an inspection report on gas flow computers and we use a master database to recall static information about each individual meter i.e when I enter the Meter number it automatically fills in all static information on my worksheet like meter serial number meter make and model ect. Occassionaly the data changes and we would like to be able to update the master database with the data entered on the inspection sheet if it has changed. Is this possible? I can provide examples of the workbooks we are working with if needed.

All i did was i just created a form to open a workbook from the directories.
Code to copy the data from that recently opened workbook to my workbook where I have my forms. I need to copy that data as in the case that i don't know the workbook and the sheet name i'am going to open as i may open any of the files!!

I have a spreadsheet with a number of sheets in it for our sales team to record orders received and pending; the first sheet contains pivots which relate to the other sheets (a sheet for each financial quarter) (i.e. one pivot for sheet 2, one pivot for sheet 3 etc)
Is there a macro which will allow me to update all of the pivots when the workbook is opened? Or, even better, one where they will be updated when the first sheet is accessed?

I keep track of returns for my company and I am pulling a CSV file with all of the information on it.
I want to be able to format the info and create new columns for info I enter in to the sheet, and be able to import the updated CSV file into my already formatted sheet.
The part that I am wondering about is, after I import my first CSV file(sheet1) do I need to create another sheet(sheet2) and format sheet2 and have it pull the info from sheet1, then when I update workbook1 the data will update in sheet2?
Or, is there a way to just import the new data a single formatted sheet that I created from the old data and have it just add the new data without messing up any of my formatting?

I have one work sheet (worksheet #1) that everyone in the company uses. With this worksheet they submit orders to my department.
When I receive it (worksheet #1) I have a macro built in so that all i have to do is click a button and the sheet get's logged onto a certain workbook (workbook #1) on the appropriated tabbed sheet.
On my log workbook (workbook #1) I have two tabed sheets "2005" and "2007", and all of the worksheet#1's go to the next line on "2007"
On occasion a sales person will open up an old worksheet and the macro will log it onto "2005".
I want to create a macro for (workbook #1) that goes something like this:
If any files attempt to write to sheet "2005"
do not allow or (False)
move line item to sheet "2007" to the next open line.

Here is my scenario:
4 step process or more?
1)I have a text file (with delimiters) that I want to be copied over to an existing workbook (because of the header)
2)So now I have a temporary workbook that includes the header and the data from the text file. I want this temporary data to be transferred or copied to a sheet in another workbook(s), wipe out previous data and store the new one. Save the workbook(s) and close.
3)Close temporary file. Don't save.
4)I want this process to be automated -- run it daily everyday at say, 6:30 in the morning.

I have two workbook.In 'Entry'Workbook where data is filled up daily in different blank cells.In 'Report' workbook,exactly, I want to pull and update the data .The format is same.Then those changes if possible must be shown in a separate sheet.Since the data is very large,I cannot track where the changes has been made in 'Entry' Workbook'.In order to know the changes in cells,I require this on daily basis.Hence I require two things-
