I have a situation that I cannot get my hands on. I have a set of Project Numbers in my Column A. (Will Try to post an example).
I need that everytime I change a number in my Column B that it will change all the numbers, in my column B, based on the matching Text in my Column A.
Demo1.xlsm
I need code to change a letter such as A into a column number i.e 1. Everything i can find is to do with changing column numbers into letters, surely you can do it the other weay round aswell? So when the macro is given the letter AA it returns the column number as 27 etc, but i need it as a defined variable such as "i = column number" so i can use this information further on in my code.

I want to be able to have any purchases formatted as an expenditure (negative sign or brackets) to show it is money out. Column C "Action" has a drop down with either Buy (infrequent) or Sell. I want to be able to have column I "Unit Price" be a negative number if the corresponding cell in the same row in Column C = "Buy". I do not have these prices formatted as currency as their are 2 different currency used and I don't know how to make the correct currency format appear automatically, though I do have a drop down validation column for which currency the transaction was in, so maybe that is possible. I know this is probably simple, but I don't spend that much time using Excel. I have some sample data in their for the moment.

I would like to change a number to a letter and then drop a digit from the end.
Say my data in A1 reads 81234568, and I would like it to display in cell A2 as h123456.
I have used the below code to insert a new row when the value in coulmn A change. I now need to evolve it so that the new row will contain a specific value depending on the changing value:
Before:
Column A Column B
one test
one test
two test

three test

After:

How would I add this formula as a worksheet function with VBA. I can't see INT, MOD or Year in VBA. Also want to change C2 to change to activecell column + row 2.
=INT(((C2-1461)- SUM(MOD( DATE(YEAR(C2-MOD(C2,7)+3),1,2)-1461,{1E+99,7})*{1,-1})+5)/7)
I know the basics of excell, but haven't ever written any formulas or macros (if that's what I need?) that would perform the following opperations. Bare with me, it's a three step process.
1. I need any zero's to the right of the last number (1-9)
to be removed. (I think this can be done with the click of a button, somewhere?)
examples:
a. 173.17300 = 173.173
b. 231.11000 = 231.11
c. 53.00000 = 53.
2. I also need for the decimal to be moved to the right of the last number after the zeroes have been removed from the previous step. (This seems to be the most deficult step, but most important for me.)
examples:
a. 173.173 = 173173
b. 231.11 = 23111
c. 53. = 53
3. I then need to be able to cross reference those remaining numbers with a set of numbers I have.
examples:
Remaining Numbers / My List
a. 173173 / Not on list
b. 23111 / MATCH
c. 53 / Not on list
I want to take what is in column A and replace the number after the "=" with new number.
I need a formula that identifies the 6 numbers or letters after the = and replaces with column A
111111 showstocknumnber//details.php?vid=111111
222222 showstocknumnber//details.php?vid=111111
345673 showstocknumnber//details.php?vid=111111
The 111111 after the = could be any string of 6 letters and numbers. The contents of column b are a URL.
I have this macro below and would like the code changed to find the "Customer Number" column by name rather than by column B. Note that the "Customer Number" column will always be somewhere in row 1.

I am a new member, with not a lot of VBA experience. Sorry for the vague title .. couldn't come up with something ^^". The idea is, I made an list with several anime titles I am watching (in column A) In column G it shows the status; "Watching", "Completed", "Planning to Watch", "On-Hold" or "Dropped". I managed to let the colors of those words change with this
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have this code below that deletes any single occurrence of a customer number but the "Customer Numbers" must be in column A.
I would like to change the code below to instead look for the "Customer Number" column by name, rather than by column A. My "Customer Number" column will always be in row 1, but yet, it will be in a different column letter every time I run the report.
I have data in a column (G) consisting of zero and ones. I would like to count the number of clusters of the number 1 in the data. For example in the data below there are 8 ones. But instead, I need to calculate how many groups of 1s occur. So in the case below the group of 1s = 3.
In terms of what defines a group. Whenever there is a zero either before or after the occurance of a 1 constitues a group, i.e the groups are broken out by zeros.

I would like to change the number 0 in the following range T4:V123 to SS. I know I can do that with inserting another column and using formula =IF(U4=0,"SS",U4) but that would change references in another sheet (Awards) and necessitate redoing a lot of formulas. Would it be possible to insert a line of code in that sheet changing 0 to SS for that particular range?

The last digit of a number (can be any demonination but always an integer). I know that you can check the last digit of a number with =RIGHT(A1,1) but I would like to check whether the last digit in number is 1,2,3,4,5 and if so change the whole number to a number ending in 5.
