In the following code, in select statement Type & Type1 & Type2 defines queue number. And now in sheet2 , there is a list of Queue names and corresponding queue numbers. So When the data gets copied from Access to Excel using the code below then i want the code that will check the queue number and replace it with queue name in Sheet1.

Here is what I would like to do:
Pull emails from outlook into a spreadsheet and click an add button that would add the From and Subject of the email to the bottom of the list with a timestamp showing the time the add button was pressed for that email. I would like the list to have the oldest timestamps stay at the top of the list, if possible.
I'm trying to get one more feature added to this priority queue tool that a forum member created. Essentially, this attached spreadsheet is a dynamic task/priority list that will change on the fly. See the original thread here: [URL]
The only missing feature is the ability to delete an entry and have all other entries below it change up a rank.

I have a simple Excel file composed of three tabs:
-EDIT
-QUEUE
-RESOLVED
On each tab, line 1 has the same headers: Status, Name, Surname, Issue, Details, Last Update
In the EDIT tab, line 2 is dedicated to editing the relevant information under the headers, and once done is validated with a "Done Editing" button: This button would cut line 2, and place it in line 2 of the QUEUE tab, moving down all the others in the list
The QUEUE tab lists all the issues keyed into line 2 of the EDIT tab. An "Edit Selected" button would cut the selected line (or the line in which a cell is selected), and copy it to line 2 of the EDIT tab for further editing, after which it would be placed on top of the queue once again as above.
The RESOLVED tab lists all of the issues marked "Resolved" on the Status column.
What I can't figure out are the macros for the two buttons:
- "Done editing" in EDIT tab adds today's date in the "Last Update" column, then cuts line 2, and pastes it in line 2 of the QUEUE tab pushing down all the lines in the list, and keeping any existing conditional formatting if possible (colours in the "Last Update" column, for ex.). If the status is set to "Resolved" before clicking the button, it does the same, but pastes it to line 2 of the RESOLVED tab instead of QUEUE.
- "Edit selected" in the QUEUE tab just cuts the selected line from the QUEUE tab and pastes it in line 2 of the EDIT tab.
How can I check if Sheet1 has any conditional formatting on it via VBA?

I have I workbook that contains 2 sheets. The first sheet "Business Objects" is the master list. The second sheet "Gene" contains similar data but is incomplete. There is a unique identifer for both sheets and that is item ID. what I would like to do is look at the Item ID column on sheet1 compare it to SS# on sheet two and copy any rows from sheet1 to the end of the sheet in sheet 2. I have found in my searches on this forum a bit of code that identifies the ones in sheet1 that are not in Sheet2 and highlights them red(which is not neccessary for me, but I am struggling to figure out how to take that and paste it to sheet2.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI can't understand why my rate1() function (my macro) doesn't work properly. While I'm dragging M5 cell in Sheet2 down to M14 cell it gives the wrong result.
Even when I change value in Sheet1 and refresh data of pivot table in Sheet2, my function rate1() isn't updated. But my problem is solving (getting the correct result) when I'm going Edit Mode (pressing function key F2) in active Cell M5 or M6 or M7..so on and pressing Enter each time.
I need code to change a letter such as A into a column number i.e 1. Everything i can find is to do with changing column numbers into letters, surely you can do it the other weay round aswell? So when the macro is given the letter AA it returns the column number as 27 etc, but i need it as a defined variable such as "i = column number" so i can use this information further on in my code.

In column A on sheet1 I have a list of unique numbers . On sheet2 I have a list of unique numbers that are available. I am currently using this formula,

to look at sheet2 and tell me what number is next after I copy it to sheet1. My problem is how do I automatically generate the next number onto sheet1(by double clicking) and have that number removed from sheet2?

This spreadsheet will be tracking sales and purchases. I want to be able to have any purchases formatted as an expenditure (negative sign or brackets) to show it is money out. Column C "Action" has a drop down with either Buy (infrequent) or Sell. I want to be able to have column I "Unit Price" be a negative number if the corresponding cell in the same row in Column C = "Buy". I do not have these prices formatted as currency as their are 2 different currency used and I don't know how to make the correct currency format appear automatically, though I do have a drop down validation column for which currency the transaction was in, so maybe that is possible. I know this is probably simple, but I don't spend that much time using Excel. I have some sample data in their for the moment.

If A5 Sheet2 value can be found in ColumnA Sheet1, look for a number in ColumnC, same ROW and compare it to C7 in Sheet2 ?

I have 2 Worksheets in an Excel 2010 Workbook -
Sheet1
Column1: contains the word "dog"
Column2: contains the word "bark"
Sheet2
Column1: contains the sentence "I like dogs a lot."
Column2: is blank
What I need to do is search Sheet2/Column1 for the presence of "dog" and if it's present, populate the word "bark" in Sheet2/Column2 from Sheet1/Column2.

Manually, a user has to fill in certain text next to a number.
This for example would look something like this:

In a cell on sheet1 I now need the number from column A displayed, that has the latest entry in column B.
In the example above this would have to be the number 3 in cell A4, because right next to it (in cell B4) is the last entry "Whatever the third error would be..."
Addition: There are several sheets, each sheet stands for one error listed on sheet1 in column A

In this example, because "whatever error" (cell B2 to B4 on sheet2) was found on press 934 was the 3rd error (cell A4), the number 3 (cell A4) would have to be populated on sheet1 in cell D4.
I have column with dates in it. What I need to do is check if the cell below changes to month beginning then generate 1 else its 0.
See example: Cell A2 is same month as cell A1, hence 0. But Cell A4 changes to a new month hence should be 1. So basically I have to check two dates but within this set criteria. Last few days of the month to first few days of the month.

What im trying to do is this..I read this number and check for the first number with the 2nd number. If its greater then i will swap it. Im trying to do this so that my number can be rearranged as 456789.
Is there a way I can make my check box change color when it's checked? I'd like to have it uncolored and then turn green when checked. Not the cell, but the checkbox itself. I can't seem to make the check box part of the cell, if that would be an easier route to go please let me know. If I have to turn the cell green and not the check box, I'd love for the whole row to turn green.

To keep those boxes checked as the supervisor's cycle through the reports, I am leaving a 28 digit code next to the report which is created as they check/uncheck the proper checkbox's.

My being new to VBA doesn't work in the situation as my programming instincts tell me to set up an infinite loop to continually check for interaction something like the following:
