Hide Picture By Default, Display If Macros Enabled
Apr 7, 2008Basically, I want cell A1 to display the message "Macros must be enabled for this document to display properly", then have that text replaced with a picture (jpeg logo) if macros are enabled. I know I need to put the code in the Workbook_Open sub, but I keep getting the "error 1004, cannot modify visible property of picture object" when I try to tinker with "visible = true".
*EDIT* - The picture must be embedded in the spreadsheet somehow, and hidden from view when macros are disabled. (Having the picture crammed into a single cell at IV65536 is fine.)

Jul 1, 2006I've a sheet with vba code and many pictures the code's function is to display the picture which i write its name in cell (A1). it works well. the problem that the code stop to work after adding number of pictures that makes me conclude that excel has limit number of picture or pictures size or there is aproblem
so i hope to find any one who can expaline this form me or solve the problem.

There is a LOGO in the right hand side Header block which I can delete ( the words &(Picture) appear after the logo is deleted. For some reaon I cannot replace this LOGO with a newer version. The new LOGO appears in the body text area, bot it will not drag into the header. I must have missed something very basic!!

If I want to perform this process without having to change the directory to the t drive etc, how do I change the macro? Is there a way, that as long as each of the relevant sheets are in the same directory, i can point the macro there? Ie, as long as all saved together in My Documents or Desktop, the macro automatically looks there?

May 5, 2007I am trying to find a way to dynamicly change CSV files .What I want is to add another column to the table with the values that based on the pre programmed parameters. For example if i have A,B,C,D columns and rows 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 I need macros to add values in column E based on the values of column B(for example)
I want to be able to pre-set those algorithms.For example for value 1033 in column B I need macros to insert value 1.25 in column E in the same row,for value 951 in column B I need 0.3 in column E in the same row. Is it doable just in Excel?

Excel 2010 :: Paste Picture Into Small Picture / Diagram Box?
Mar 19, 2012In Excel 2010, is there any way to paste a picture into a small picture/diagram box, and upon double clicking the picture it would explode to a larger size? And I guess double clicking it again would make it return to its original (smaller) size. I would be pasting several pictures into several different picture/diagram boxes and would need this to be a relative reference so that upon selection it explodes the appropriate picture?

The problem is, if a user uses the disable macros when opening then the worksheet menu bar and other command bars are still available. I would like to hide all of the data sheets and display another sheet that would normally be hidden displaying a message that the macros have to be enabled for the program to work correctly if disable macros is chosen. When the enable macros are used I would like the Error page to be hidden.

Enable/Disable Macros When No Macros Are Present
Jul 28, 2008I have a user that keeps a maintenance log in an Excel worksheet and sends an updated copy once a week to a board member. Two weeks ago, the board member started complaining that he was prompted to enable/disable macros on opening and became worried when my user stated that no macros were used in the book. He is now concerned that we have sent him a virus.
I know the file is clean because I've scanned it, and when I look at the file in VB, there are no modules or classes present just the Sheets 1-3 and the ThisWorkbook file. None of these objects have any code in them. My user does have some macros in PERSONAL.XLS but they are not used in the workbook in question.
No one else gets the prompt for enabling/disabling macros. Even if I set my security to prompt for any macros, I get no message. I'm convinced that there must be some setting in his Excel that is causing this individual to get this message. Is there anything else other than a macro that would cause this?

The userbox I just created calls upon 2 different macros, and has a macro to bring up the userbox. Dec 14, 2009I have two macros. Macros 1 opens another excel file, counts the number of rows it has, inserts that number of rows into the master file and then copies the data over. Key code as follows (x3 for 3 worksheets)...

Here's the weirdness. macros 1 runs fairly quick the first time out (few seconds). Macros 2 takes about 2 minutes to run (which I'm fine with). However, when I run macros 1 AFTER running Macros 2, Macros 1 goes from taking a few seconds to a few minutes.

Jan 2, 2009I am working with a spreadsheet created by a predecessor and there is a picture at the top of one of the worksheets. When I select the picture and hit Delete, it seems to work, but the picture is still there. When I move it around the worksheet and resize it, a copy with the same name ("Picture 47") remains in the spot I moved it from. When I delete the resized/moved picture, it deletes, but the picture still remains in the original spot.
When I record a macro and select the picture and hit delete - or even when I move the picture and resize it - the recorded macro is blank.
All of the pictures seem to be named "Picture 47"
