Apr 10, 2009I have many objects in a sheet, for example Picture(from file), Oval, command button... I want to clear these objects. How can I do ?

Cannot Rename A Sheet To The Same Name As Another Sheet, A Referenced Object Library Or A Workbook Refernced By Visual Basic
Feb 2, 2010I am getting the error from the title of the thread when I try to change a worksheet name.
This worksheet name doesn't already exist in the workbook and I don't have any other files currently open.
I'm not entirely sure what is causing this, but I do need the sheet to be the name I am trying to change to.

Clear Range On Another Sheet
Apr 18, 2008I have used the VBA and it works to select all data but I have an issue when there is no data to select beneath the column header. I am running this on multiple worksheets which vary with data week to week.

How can I run this and not have it delete the column header when there is no data? Is there a way to change the formula so that it selects all cell columns of data without defining it?
Keep Macro From Clear Entire Sheet
Feb 25, 2014This macro clears all the contents of each sheet to which it refers, however, after putting it to use I find that I need it to clear only columns A-G starting at row 10. I am not sure how to modify it to do so though. Actually it would be even better if it would only clear columns A, B, C, E, F, and G.

The intention is for them to fill-in their office hours and courses along with a few other bits of information. One sheet should have their teaching and office hours and one sheet should not.
These are the cells that should be cleared once the sheet has been duplicated (F30, F31, G30, G31). Once the sheet is duplicated and those two cells' contents has been deleted, both sheets should be printed. Ideally, all of this would be initiated by clicking a hyperlink or something like that.
Macro To Clear Rows On Another Sheet
Aug 12, 2008I have a macro that copies data into another sheet (OR) from sheet1 (EDS) but as I don't want the data added from the last row I want it to overwrite and clear any data that was there before. However I still want to keep my headings which occupy rows 1 and 2.
This is the code I was using...

This is pretty inefficent but it works. I don't want to make a new macro I like keeping it inserted in my current one. However I couldn't figure out how to get it to delete the rows past row 2 (it could go to infinity but I don't think there will ever be more than 30 rows of data).

Mar 4, 2008I have a macro set up on a command button so that when you click the button, it takes the info that you entered and puts it into line form on a seperate sheet. I need it to clear the original sheet after this happens, but the way I have it set up, when you remove the info from the original sheet it removes it from the second sheet. Does any one have a sample form that submits information this way? I think I can figure it out if I could see how someone else has done it.
The form is set up so that the user has to enter their name and then go through a series of drop down boxes, and select the correct options and then submit the form when done.

Error Object Required When Copying Sheet
Dec 1, 2011I have a script that creates a bunch of sheets. It was working fine when testing because I was just adding a sheet using worksheets.add, but now I've found out they all need to be created from a template sheet. I set up the template sheet and changed to the worksheets.copy method, but I'm receiving a runtime error "Object Required"
All I want to do is copy the sheet and rename it to the next name in the array (I have an array of sheet names).

So basically, I have about 300 worksheets with data, and I would like to have a button on each page that automatically charts that data when clicked, and outputs the chart to the page where the macro was clicked. However, I have not been able to figure out a relative reference that will allow me to make the LocationasObject reference simply the ActiveSheet as opposed to a specifically named sheet. Object Library Invalid Or Contains References To Object Definitions
Jan 17, 2005I'm getting the following error:
"Object library invalid or contains references to object definitions that could not be found"
I wasn't getting that error last night and I'm not sure what I may have done to cause this error.
It seems to be cause by code running on one sheet of my workbook, but I'm not really sure about that. I'm still a bit of a novice at VBA.
I'm using Excel 2002 SP3 and I'm running MS XP Home as my OS.
Do you have any ideas what can cause this error and/or how to trace down the offending objects/code?
Clear Macro NOT Clear Formula?
Aug 15, 2014I'm having a problem with a macro clearing a formula in a cell. I have the same type of cell that doesn't have the problem but I can't find the difference between the 2 cells or difference in vb that's making it happen. I have to intentionally cause this to happen but don't see why it's happening. Do I need to attach workbook and describe what's happening? I have been copying and pasting from different sources as well as paying to have it created/started but it was expensive(for me) and I make nothing off of it, just use it at work. I am not proficient in Excel or vb but I'm desperately trying to learn as I go so as not to fork out a few hundred dollars again.

Retain Formulas In A Few Cells In A One Worksheet So They Are Not Cleared By "clear Contents" Without Using Protect Sheet
Apr 8, 2008i have a worksheet which is a form which feeds into another worksheet which acts as a database. i have a button which clears the form based on code which is essentially "clear contents".
the problem is i have a few cells where i would like to retain the formulas. i tried to do this with custom in validation but this did not work. i also tried to enter the code directly into the worksheet but this didnt work either (my skills are limited..). i am avoiding using protect sheet bc that in turn will affect many of my other buttons. is there something i am overlooking?
