I currently use the following formula in Conditional Formatting to highlight a persons birthday:
=$R1=DATE(YEAR($R1),MONTH(TODAY()),DAY(TODAY()))
which changes the colour of the cell on their birthday. However, I need to amend this formula so that the highlighting applies to the current week, as in Sunday thru to Saturday. My amendments have not been successful and you cannot use the WEEKNUM function in conditional formatting for some reason!
Im trying to input data where im updating customers and friends birthdays. I wanted to see if i could input a formula and conditional format or a pop up to remind me a week before someones birthday in the future.
i'm using the following three formulas to perform conditional formatting on cell B when cell A contains a date. Each condition depicts a cell colour depending on the following:
Within The Current Month =datevalue(day(today())&"/"&month($q$3)&"/"&year($q$3))=(today())
Prior To The Current Month =datevalue(day(today())&"/"&month($q$3)&"/"&year($q$3))(today())
It took me so time to put this together, but I've one other condition which I need to add to the above which I'm having difficulty in solving.
In addition to setting the cell colour of cell B, i would also like to set a text value.
So if the date is:
Within The Current Month, I would like the cell to say "Act'ls", Prior To The Current Month, I would like the cell to say "Act'ls", and Greater Than The Current Month, I would like the cell to say "A'able"
Currently having problems getting correct head count. I have formula that works for rows 6-8 but fails in row9. The should be answers are in rows 17-20.
Conditions used in formula *Start date > Start FY =0 * Current Week > End Date =0 * End Date < Start FY =0
The date difference is divided by 7 because there are 7 working days in a week. If it is greater then 7 then it would be 1 for current week. I tried zipping the file but I could not shrink it to required size. find on weblink below: http://maxupload.com/E759C9D9
I have a forecast which is sorted by product code by week vertically. I need to create a lookup to re-format this information into a horizontal format by week. I have started this by transposing the information as my attachment shows but I am hoping there is a lookup formula which will be easier and quicker. I have attached the actual document and the data I want to sort is Sheet 2. I have started in Sheet 1. I want to look up the code in column A, then lookup the week number which would be B2 in Sheet 1 and return the value of that Code in that week from Sheet 1.
I have a worksheet that includes a cell that gives the current week of the month, in the form of "Week #". I've been using the formula below for several months and have had no issues until this month, and it's driving me crazy.
Given that cell D2 is the beginning of the week (usually Monday, but at the first of the month it may be a different day):
="Week " & ROUNDUP((DAY($D$2)+WEEKDAY(DATE(YEAR($D$2),MONTH($D$2),0)))/7,0) I'm not sure where the logic is going wrong here; it's worked so well up until now. For the week beginning November 2, 2009, the formula above returns "Week 2" rather than "Week 1".
I currently have this beast of a code running in Excel 2013:
HTML Code: Sub OBTAIN_RAW_DATA_MACRO() Dim NextCol As Long
'Copy data Workbooks.Open Filename:= _
[Code] ........
However the issue lies in that once the data is refreshed, the slicers reading off the above raw data/pivots, automatically select all weeks, however this is not beneficial for the data being presented.
Is there anyway to have, once the Pivots have been updated, for the macro to then check and select current week range (beginning Monday) only?
I have created a sheet which has 52 named ranges representing the week numbers.
I would like to apply VBA Conditional Formatting to each week with the following if a cell is empty colour the interior Green if not empty colour the interior Red.
I have an excel sheet wherin there is a column that has the data where in the dates are displayed and many other columns.
I get this excel every Thursday so i want to filter this date column in such a way that it give me the data related to the date of the previous week only yet there is a catch here. When i say previous week i mean.
Suppose today is 03/14/14 then i want the data from 03/07/14 till today ie Last week friday to this week full( so cant use Current week option) and then paste it in a new sheet.
I tried the Record part but in that it is taking a hard coded value as i am selecting the date myself. I dont want to change the date manually every time.
I have a Timesheet where I am trying to get Saturday and Sunday to auto fill with a certain color whenever the month is changed. The spreadsheet is setup so that if the month is changed in a specified cell, then the dates of that month auto fill down a specified column. I would like Saturday's and Sunday's to be a certain color without having to manually color fill them every time the month is changed. Is there a formula or macro for this. I have tried setting up conditional formatting but I don't know how to get the color to follow Sat&Sun. I have attached the spreadsheet.
I am very new to Excel. The date is in column B as Tuesday, 29 April 2014, but I need to format the spreadsheet in such a way that every day of the week is a different colour e.g. Tuesdays are Blue, Wednesdays will automatically turn pink etc. how will I do that?
I have a spreadsheet for tracking jobs. Most everything is based off of week # rather than date. I am trying to get the stats page of the workbook to tally the total number of late jobs per week.The current week is taken care of because there is a function that automatically displays on time yes or no and I just set it to count the yeses or nos.The problem I am having is for past weeks.
I tried- =COUNTIF(Table2[On-time],"No"+(CountIF(Table2[Week # Hidden],"<Weeknum(Now())" but that doesn't work. I also tried isolating the < like this. =COUNTIF(Table2[On-time],"No"+(CountIF(Table2[Week # Hidden],"<"Weeknum(Now()) and that did not work either.
------ UPDATE
In response to using CountIFS I have also tried-
=COUNTIFS(Table2[On-time],"NO",Table2[Due Week '# Hidden],"<Weeknum(Now())") this just returns a zero value even when I have a late job listed three weeks ago.
I'm working with three large data sets covering a month of data in 5 minute intervals. There is a single date and time column which I am using some custom formats to list Time in 12 hour format, AM or PM and Day of the week.
Based upon the various analysis scenarios, adding some Autofilter columns is meeting most of my needs. One issue I am having is that I can filter on a single day using the built in list that Autofilter provides. But I have been asked to look at weekend vs weekday.
Since Excel 2003 only offers two filter criteria, I thought I could use a custom filter with Saturday and Sunday as include or exclude criteria. But, what I am findings is that while the Autofilter shows each day in the dropdown, certain attempts to use them within the custom autofilter do not work.
For example, equals Saturday and equals Sunday correctly returns only weekend data. However, if I try changing both to Does not equals, the result is that no data is filtered.Some of my research indicates that the problem is that the date information being presented as days of the week would need to be text strings . This seems to shed some light on the issue as any attempts at using wildcards fail.
I have a Sheet ( Named "Summary" for Example ) of about 4,000 Rows that has a LOT of Conditional Formatting.
I Added Another 100 Rows this Morning and when I Tried Saving it a Message Saying that Not All the Formatting for the New Data that had Been Added had Been Saved. Is there a Macro or Something I can Run that will Make the Conditionally Formatted Cells Stay the Colour that they are but Delete the Conditional Formatting Part of it Achieved Using "Format" & "Conditional Format" from the Menu Please.
Ideally I would like to be Able to Enter the Number of Rows ( From Row ? to Row ? ) that I want this to Apply to.
I have five fields that have a conditional format applied to them: (see attached). Columns J, K, L, N and O. These conditionals highlight if a minimum number is entered. Ex. Minimum pushups for a 30 y/o male is 27, if a 26 is entered it highlights red. The total score (where I need this to perform) is calculated in column Q. It will format red if the total score is below 75 but what I can't figure out is how to make it format if any of the previous minimums have not been met.
Ex. In cell L4, his crunches were 25 (a automatic failure -- red formatting). Now the total score is above 75 so it calculates as passing (green), but I need it to highlight red regardless because of the minimum not met in cell L4.
I have a range which has conditional formats based on other cells. I want to copy this range into another sheet and retain the current formats as fixed formats without copying the conditional formulae. ideally in VBA.
Is it possible to change the format of cell AI3 based on the format of cell C3 and D3? I have C3 and D3 set to turn red based on what is in cell C2 and D2. I would like the following done:
If AI3=C3 & C3 is red, format AI3 blue If AI3=D3 & D3 is red, format AI3 blue Otherwise, leave AI3 unformatted.
I have written a code that copies the formatting across a row (in first sheet). It then goes to the next sheet deleted all conditional formatting and pastes to the end row. This works well for applying to new sheets.
But how do I reapply to the current sheet. Is there a way to get each conditional format and give it a new range so it includes any recently added rows. I have found I need to delete all formats on the sheet first as it would otherwise duplicate the same format over and over each time.
Code: For nn = 2 To 9 'Each ws In ThisWorkbook.Worksheets Set ws = Worksheets(nn)
I am using Excel 2002. I have a spreadsheet with a list of dates. How can I get conditional formatting to highlight the cell, if the date listed is before the current date.
I am now wanting to do if the the cell has an active conditional format also highlight that cell. Currently if the cell has an active conditional format nothing happens
Private Sub Worksheet_SelectionChange(ByVal Target As Range) Static rngPrev As Range, PrevColor As Integer Dim TempColor As Integer TempColor = Target.Cells(1, 1).Interior.ColorIndex If Not rngPrev Is Nothing Then rngPrev.Interior.ColorIndex = PrevColor PrevColor = TempColor With Target.Interior .ColorIndex = 35 .Pattern = xlSolid End With Set rngPrev = Target End Sub
Is there a way to scan a document into excel 2003 and be able to keep the current format ? or some way to be able to get it into excel and the easliy put it back to the format I need?
