Copy Range X Times & Paste & Format

Oct 9, 2007

I have a range of cells that is 10 rows high. I want to copy and paste this range 11 times while identifying each of the 11 copies of the range, such as; 02,03,04...12.

Please see attachment for an example of what I am trying to do.

Does anyone have an idea of how this might be done in VB?

Run A Loop For 1000 Times And Take Value - Copy / Paste In A Range

Sep 30, 2013

I have a rand () which provides me a different number upon calculate. I would like to run a loop for 1000 times and take the value and copy and paste in a range.

The below sorta works, but at times it stops or doesn't work at all. I have a loop for the counter and the for each to place the value into the cell and have it run over and over and placing the value in the next cell underneath. I have the counter at 10 so I dont get stuck in some endless loop before I know it works.

Code:

Sub montecarlos()
Dim MCs As Long
Dim c As Range
Dim lCount As Long
Dim lNum As Long
lCount = 0
lNum = 1
Worksheets("MonteCarlo").Activate

VBA Code - Copy / Paste And Then Format Range

Apr 13, 2012

I have this code that copy/pastes a range from another sheet for every nth row. In the code I have pasted cells I need to merge the cell with the cell to the right and format it. I thought I was doing ok but the code keeps returning an error (run-time 1004) and I don't know the solution, it is beyond my level of VBA.

Code:
Sub test()
Dim ws1 As Worksheet
Dim ws2 As Worksheet
Dim lngRowCounter As Long
Dim newRowCounter As Long

[Code] ...

The code in red is the problem and I have commented it out so it can run, but I need it to merge and format. I don't know how to address range/cells in column B and C together (they are the two cells I wish to merge and format).

Copy/paste To New Workbook Several Times....

Jun 15, 2009

I'm trying to create an "export" feature where certain data can be copied out to a new workbook. I want to copy out the following from the current workbook to a new one: Sheets("1TR").Range("C33:M999") to range("A1") in the new workbook
and Sheets("1PL").Range("K33:K999") to range ("L1") in the new workbook.

The problem I'm having is that it is not just one copy/paste exercise, but two, and I don't know how to reference the new workbook as it doesn't have a filename.

Copy/Paste 30 Times Or Loop?

Nov 18, 2009

I've attached below a small part of my code. I am wondering if there is a way to do this, without copying and pasting something 30 times, but using a loop instead. As you can see there are a series of productsNumbers (30 in total, but this example is for 3). Each productNumber is a string that is actually a 5 digit number, so it can be an integer as well, if it has to.

I would like to code below to loop for as many products as there may be. The way that I have it right now does not work - I feel that I am missing something small or that there is no way to do this.

Copy & Paste Specific Number Of Times Based On Value

Jul 22, 2007

I enter a part number in "D1". The number of components required for that part number is returned in "G1" based on a VLookup. I would like a macro that will copy and paste the part number I enter in "D1" in the first empty cell in column "D" and will paste it once for each component (G1) required. For example, if the number of components required is 4, and the first empty cell in column "D" is "D10", I would like to paste the part number in cells "D10", "D11", "D12", and "D13".

VBA Copy, Paste Rows And Format

I have been trying to set up this macro to copy and paste rows where a tick box is checked. The macro needs to transfer the row A:H over to sheet 2 then insent the data acording to property title either A, B, C etc. into formated tables which then feed into a bar and pie chart. I have tried posting this question up in sections hoping that i could get the bits of code i need and then work out how to do the macro but I have had no luck since my VBA skills are poor. I have attached the file

vTemp = Target.Value

If vTemp = True Then
vTemp = "*"

Copy Range Multiple Times Across Sheets

Mar 31, 2014

I have the following data in one "Project_list" tab:

Project
AAAA
BBBB
CCCC
DDDD

I want to copy this data into another tab "Transpose" in this form:

AAAA
AAAA
AAAA
AAAA
BBBB
BBBB
BBBB
BBBB

[code].....

So basically copying 4 times every row... as simple as that The constraint: I have about 1500+ projects in the project list, but this list can change so i need a statement that copy values 4 times till source tab has empty values. I would like to have in the second column the following serie for each project.

AAAA Q12014
AAAA Q22014
AAAA Q32014
AAAA Q42014

Note- i want to do this in VB not though formulas as i am doing other derivations in macro.

Copy Paste Date Value & Format To Next Empty Row

Jan 23, 2008

Is it possible to have a macro copy a range of cells (A1:K1) and place it in the next empty row? My first row has formulas in it to grab information from a separate sheet within the same workbook with special formatting so I can import it to another program. What I want to be able to do is take that first row, use my macro button to copy and paste (only text, not the formulas) the information into row 2, then when the information changes in row 1 with new information (from the other sheet) it will copy and paste the new information into row 3 and so on.

Copy-paste From Csv To Xls Macro > Wrong Date Format

Apr 27, 2009

I'm exporting a csv file from a membership database with the attendance of members. With a macro i open the file and copy the contend to excel. With the macro the column for the date has *randomly* wrong formats. Example the date in column B:

Aasia Tallah19-03-2009 19:33
Aasia Tallah17/03/09 7:49 pm
Aasia Tallah15/03/09 7:53 pm
Aasia Tallah14/03/09 6:34 pm
Aasia Tallah03-12-2009 20:05
Aasia Tallah03-11-2009 19:56
Aasia Tallah03-10-2009 19:54

I try to change the format of the column, but that does not work. Rows 2,3 and 4 seem to be text but they are not. If i access the edit bar for example the 17th of march and store without changing anything, it changes to the format of the first row. That is how i want it. If i copy the column by hand, every thing is fine.

All of the following i tryed:
- format date column of the csv before copying... failed
- copy special with only pasting values... failed
- preformat the column i paste the date to... failed
- delete the sheet i paste to and create a new one... failed
- copy the macro to a new workbook... failed

Converting Times Stored In Date Format To Number Format?

Mar 31, 2014

One of the reports I run provides me information on lengths of time. Such a field displays as |0:09:16| indicating 9 minutes and 16 seconds. However, when the report generates the excel spreadsheet it saves these cells in date/time format ([h]:mm:ss). If I were to convert this field to the number format (so I can manipulate and graph it) it displays as such |0.00643460648148148| Ideally I would be able to have the data in the field stored as |556| (556 seconds, or 9 minutes 16 seconds). I have thousands of fields that I need to manipulate where the data is stored in this format and I can not figure out how to fix it.

Copy/Paste Range To Different Size/Shape Range

Mar 3, 2008

I have the following code that let's the user choose and " import" data to an existing sheet. It works well up until now. The problem is that the three ranges that I am trying to copy the data from on workbook to another has changed size. In previous version of my workbooks the range was two columns by 10 rows. Now, it is 1 column by 10 rows. So, when I run this macro it doesn't work because the two ranges are different. Is there any way to:
1) Only copy over one of the rows of a range thus making the macro run?

2) Do not run that part of the macro if there is an error?

Thanks so much for reading this long-winded description but the error is a big problem

Private Sub CommandButton1_Click()

Import_Data_Form.Hide

Run "UnProtectAll"

Set b = Selection
ad = b.Address

Alternative To Copy Range Paste Range?

I tried setting Range 1 = Range 2, its not giving me an error but its not "pasting" the information to the 2nd workbook.

I know ive done it before by doing each cell in each row individually but a its a big Data Table and that would take too long.

Copy And Paste Value Above In Range?

Apr 9, 2014

From E15:E150

Start with E16 and if it is blank than make it the same as the value above (If E16 is blank than E16 would have value of E15)

If it has a value than skip and go to next.... all the way through E150.

So an example would be:

E
15 ABQ
16
17
18 MFE
19 AUS
20
21 HOU
22
23
24
25 ATL
26
and so on

Would look like this after macro

E
15 ABQ
16 ABQ
17 ABQ
18 MFE
19 AUS
20 AUS
21 HOU
22 HOU
23 HOU
