Copy Row That Contains Checkboxes Without Being Linked?

May 23, 2013

I am working on a form that has 150 lines with address and then a check box in the row to indicate that something has been done. I have linked that to another cell so that I get a true false. I will then be setting it up to count the true false so that it will keep counts for me. The problem that I am having is when I copy the row down all the check boxes in the column are linked. I check one and the rest become checked. I don't want to have to individual add check boxes in for each 150 lines.

Create A Long Series Of Checkboxes In Which Each Box Is Linked To The Cell Directly To The Right Of It

How To Copy Checkboxes Down A Column

Jun 2, 2008

how to insert a checkbox into cell I4. I'd like to drag/copy the cell all the way down the column, but it doesn't work this way. How can I do that without individually copy/pasting into each cell?

Better yet, is there a way to make a check box appear only if there is content in the row? This is a spread sheet where I add one or two rows per day. For example, if there is content in B25, make a check box appear in I25? That would help keep the spreadsheet clean.

Checkboxes To Mark Rows To Copy

Apr 12, 2008

I am using checkboxes in column A to allow customers to select inventory items. If the box is checked I want the data in columns B thru R to be copied and pasted to a new workbook for the corresponding row. The data should be pasted as values, but with all the same formatting. The column headers also need to be copied and pasted, they can be found in B8 thru R8. Before pasting to a new workbook a popup box should ask the user to click "yes" or "no" to paste the data to a new workbook.

Dim Bcell As Range
For Each Bcell In Range("A10:A" & Cells(Rows.Count, 1).End(xlUp).Row.
If Bcell.Value <> "False" Then
Sheets("sheet3").Cells(Rows.Count, 1).End(xlUp).Offset(1, 0).Resize(1, 18).Value = Range(Bcell, Bcell.Offset(0, 8)).Value
End If
Next Bcell

The problem with the code above is
1. It is copying all columns A thru R (should be B thru R)
2. It is pasting all formulas (should only be pasting values)
3. It is not carrying over the formatting (cell formats should remain the same)
4. It is pasting the data to a new sheet (Should be pasting to a new workbook)

Match Criteria And Then Copy Entire Row To Another Workbook Using Checkboxes

May 22, 2013

I have 2 workbooks, one is my source of data and the other is the destination workbook. What I need to do is to copy the row data when the checkbox is marked and the criteria was met to the destination workbook. I have the code below:

VB:
Sub CheckBox5_Click()
'uses formulas in an empty column to spot all appropriate rows at once
Dim LR As Long, NR As Long, wbMASTER As Workbook, wbNAME As String
wbNAME = "C:UsersPublicDocumentsSPOT_MB.xls"

[Code] .....

What I want to do now is to :

1. Create a checkbox that will run the code to copy the row when the criteria is met to the next empty row of a master file.
2. Keep the master file open while the data is updating.

Copy A Linked Formula Down Instead Of Across

Aug 19, 2008

Is is possible for me to copy a linked formula down instead of accross. For example, i have two tabs in a spreedsheet. the first tab have data in the following cells a1; a2; a3 but going through column M. Basically, a1;a2;a3 have data through m1; m2; m3...

On the second tab, i am linking from one cell to the data in a2 from the first tab; however when i copy my formulas it is giving me data from b2, c2, d2, etc instead of pulling cells a2, a3, a4, etc...

Is there a way to copy the formula to pull down instead of across?

Auto Copy In To Cell On A Linked Sheet

Feb 2, 2010

I am wondering if there is a formula/macro/VBA that will find the last date entered in a column and fill that date in to a cell on a linked sheet.

example:

sheet ONE has columns C through S. (each customer has its own sheet)
On this sheet, in column H the date of the last payment made is entered. This date of course changes as payments are made, so the row would change as well.

sheet TWO has columns C through O. (all customers on this one sheet)
The rows on this sheet remain the same for each individual customer.
I would like the last date entered on sheet ONE column H to be auto copied to sheet TWO column O.

Is there a way to have the last date entered on sheet ONE auto copy to Sheet TWO?

Copy / Move Slicer Linked Pivot Charts To New Workbook

Mar 15, 2013

I have a Reporting workbook I designed. There is a "Parent" workbook with the following design.

It has 6 Pivot Tables on a Sheet called "Data"

It has 6 Pivot Charts that were created from these tables on a page called "Summary"

These 6 Pivot Charts are all linked through a pair of slicers.

There is a "control" page which has instructions and buttons that trigger "Refresh All" and "Create Child Workbok".

This design is so that someone unfamiliar with excel could conceivably create the final product.

Essentially I have written/put together VBA to Create a new workbook "child" which has should be a funcitoning copy of the "parent".

The problem is the copiedmoved (I have tried both) Pivot Charts no longer update/refresh when the pivot tables change. I have script that reconnects the Pivot Tables to the Slicers. Slicers are fully funcitonal. Links in cells are fully functional.

Some of this code might look familiar.

Code:

Sub createWB()
' Copies VBA modules, Calls
Dim wbNew As Workbook, wbT As Workbook
Set wbT = ActiveWorkbook
On Error Resume Next
Kill ("PATHmod1.bas")
Kill ("PATHmod2.bas")

[code].....

Suppress Browse For File When Copy Formula Linked To Other Workbooks

Jan 19, 2008

I am trying to write some VBA that will select a row of cells that each have links to cells in another workbook, and then either autofill the formulas down (or pastespecial them down) for 20 rows. I have that part down using either pastespecial or autofill, but -

Since the forumulas are links to another workbook, Excel wants to resolve that link to calculate the values at the time of the pastespecial or autfill. If the sourced workbook is not open, the "browse for file" popup displays. I don't want the popup to display and would rather just get the #REF in the pasted cells and let it resolve the next time the sourced workbook is open. The end result would be like clicking "cancel" to the "browse for file popup", which I'm tired of constantly doing... I would just like to skip that popup all together and get the #REF value.

Allows Me To Place Checkboxes In Each Row

Jan 21, 2007

What I have is a long list of about 100 items. I would like to set up an excel sheet that allows me to place checkboxes in each row and then whatever checkboxes have been checked, to simply collate and print out ONLY the check boxes that have been checked.

I have gotten as far as to create and rename the checkboxes but my skill ends there. I also need to know how to get each checkbox to correspond to a row.

I appreciate ANY help that you can give me.

EDIT: this doesnt NEED to be checkboxes, it can be optionbuttons if that is easier... simply something to select/deselect and print.

1.1 a blah
1.1 b blah
2.1 a blah
2.1b blah
3.1a blah
3.1b blah
3.3.a blah
etc blah

Userforms And Checkboxes

Jul 10, 2007

I'm having trouble with checkboxes - I've set up the userform but I can't seem to get it to send values to the specific cells when certain options are checked.

The way it should work is there will be an action and this could be involved with 1 process or 40 processes (and anything in between) and what will happen is the userform will pop up and ask what processes the action is applicable to. The user will then tick the correct ones and the form will then place these values in the corresponding cells next to the action.

Checkboxes And Loop

Dec 19, 2007

I have one Sheet for each day of the month, named 1,2,3,4 and so on. Each Sheet is copied from the second Sheet upon creation, so they are all the same, except for the first sheet. On each Sheet there are a couple of checkboxes (four at the moment) placed at the same position och each Sheet.

If, let's say the first checkbox on Sheet 6 is checked, then the next seven Sheets checkboxes that is placed on the same spot should become triple-state. I want this to happen in real-time, not when the Sheets are copied/created. In other words, when I click a checkbox on any given day (Sheet), the next seven checkboxes on the upcoming 7 Sheets should change state.

This is to say "this is ok for seven days, and if there has gone 7 days since the last click - the checkbox is empty.

Naming Checkboxes

Dec 22, 2008

Basically my code creates a load of checkboxes and I need to name them appropriately as they will be used in the next part of the code.

I haven't had a problem changing the caption properties etc but I need the name to be meaningful and unique - it works fine if I just want each checkbox to be called i.e. "CB1" etc but I want the name to be derived from a range within the worksheet.

Below is an extract from the
the_row = 10
For Each Item In ActiveSheet.OLEObjects
If Item.progID = "Forms.CheckBox.1" Then Item.Name = WorksheetFunction.Substitute(ActiveSheet.Range("C" & the_row).Value, " ", "_")
If Item.progID = "Forms.CheckBox.1" Then Item.Object.Caption = ""
If Item.progID = "Forms.CheckBox.1" Then Item.PrintObject = False
the_row = the_row + 1
Next

Column C contains the name which is unique to each checkbox, I simply need to replace any spaces with "_" but when I am not defining a set text string the name of the checkbox does not change.

Checkboxes On The Worksheet

I put a couple of checkboxes on a worksheet and am trying to identify which are checked and which are not, so that I can do something with the rows that they are located on. I'm pretty sure the rest is right, I just can't get it to identify the checkboxes as checkboxes for some reason. Looping Through Checkboxes

I'm looking for a tidy way to loop through quite a large number of CheckBoxes. This does what I need to do:

If CheckBox1 = True Or Workbooks(impname).Worksheets("checklist").CheckBox1 = True Then _
Workbooks(wb1).Worksheets("checklist").CheckBox1 = True
If CheckBox2 = True Or Workbooks(impname).Worksheets("checklist").CheckBox2 = True Then _
Workbooks(wb1).Worksheets("checklist").CheckBox2 = True
If CheckBox3 = True Or Workbooks(impname).Worksheets("checklist").CheckBox3 = True Then _
Workbooks(wb1).Worksheets("checklist").CheckBox3 = True
If CheckBox4 = True Or Workbooks(impname).Worksheets("checklist").CheckBox4 = True Then _
Workbooks(wb1).Worksheets("checklist").CheckBox4 = True
It looks as though it should be possible to loop through one line but the syntax is giving me a problem. The CheckBoxes are from the Controls library.
