I need to create a long series of checkboxes in which each box is linked to the cell directly to the right of it. When I try to copy and past the checkbox, the link doesn't update. Which means I have to go in manually and change every checkbox link.
View 3 RepliesI am working on a form that has 150 lines with address and then a check box in the row to indicate that something has been done. I have linked that to another cell so that I get a true false. I will then be setting it up to count the true false so that it will keep counts for me. The problem that I am having is when I copy the row down all the check boxes in the column are linked. I check one and the rest become checked. I don't want to have to individual add check boxes in for each 150 lines.

To do this I count the number of items displayed on the chart using Chart.Seriescollection.Count. I then loop over the Chart.Seriescollection(x) and try to change the Chart.Seriescollection(x).Formula string to link to the cells I want.
Problem is that, sometimes, the cells the curve is currently linked to are empty. Such a curve does show up in the Count, but I can't access the .Formula, even though this can be done manually from within Excel.

I am getting an automation error
The project is the create checkboxes out of the tab names in a workbook. After that, create a new workbook with the selections made. It is at the point where I pass the array of sheets to be copied that the error occurs. The only thing I can figure is that my variable curWB is not what I think but I declare it to be the original workbook before that point. All of the code is below.
Another possibility is that this code with some other code sits in the worksheet called index. This sheet is being copied to the new workbook also.

I have a sheet with data that is associated with a month or season. I need to create a drop down list or check boxes on another sheet that will allow me to select the data associated with the month or season that is chosen.
For instance, on Sheet1, I have Summer-12 as the label in cell A1, and the data associated with it in cell A3:AH15. Winter-12 is in cell A18 and the data associated with it is in B20:31.
This goes on for 3 years of data.
I need a drop down list or check boxes on sheet2 where I can select one or multiple seasons and then the associated data for those seasons appear in order.
I want to create a report using power pivot while creating the relationship between the linked tables, power pivot is throwing error "The relationship cannot be created because each cilumn contains duplicate values. Select at least one column that contains only values"

Each location is colour coded based on performance / measure, in a basic thermographic way [e.g. dark blue for very poor, solid red for high performance] with users being able to change metrics and re-colour cells accordingly.
The sheet is already information rich, but I'm wanting to detect the cell address directly under the pointer and populate a text box or other cell based on the value in the cell directly below the mouse pointer.
My question is; Is there a simple way of detecting the mouse position on the XL Grid? nb. Want to avoid having to activate cell beneath pointer.

how to create a new XYScatter series based on dynamic conditions. For example, I have a very large, unsorted table with three columns: TGT, X, Y, Z.
TGT is an integer from 1-99 and is being filtered dynamically with an Advanced Filter. Anywhere from 0 to 10 conditions are being filtered by the Advanced Filter.
I would like to create a new series for each unique instance of TGT, with or without filtering.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've populated a temporary worksheet with several columns of data. In this example my Amount Column has several null cells. What I need to do is write a macro to find any nulls and populate the nulls with the data in the last populated cell above it.
Example: the four empty cells below Account (524150) also need to be populated with 524150. The cell immediately below 524200 also needs to be populated with 524200 and the 3 empty cells below 512800 also need to be populated with 512800. Week to week the number of rows will change and the nulls will also change.
I've created my dynamic named ranges using the OFFSET function, ex.

I'm now trying to get my chart to use that range. I read at [URL] .... that I need to make sure my series reference is a fully qualified reference. So I've entered that series reference using the name of the workbook followed by the range name (=2012-PIRS.xlsx!SAM_CLAR2DEL). I have two copies of my workbook (one as xlsm with VBA project, and one with xlsx without VBA) and I can't get Excel to accept the series value in either workbook.

The reason I do not place all of the data in one column is because it could exceed the maximum amount of rows allowed in excel. Also I need the data split up for viewing purposes.
I can easily just graph one column but how do I combine all the columns into one line graph with the data being in separate columns. Basically all the columns will be my Y values and X values are just 1:n.

I have cells that sum the column above them.
I would like to be able to add a checkbox linked to each sum cell that adds the values of each of those cells.
Ex: A5=4, B5=6, C5=1, D5=7. With a checkbox linked to each cell, if i check the boxes in A5 and C5 then in another cell i would get the sum of those two cells= 5.
I've tried this but every time i link a checkbox to the sum cell it deletes the formula and puts in a True or False result.
Is there a way to do this?

Example, I checked box one and so 1CELL should change to, lets say to a set dollar amount like $12, and then 2CELL would also change to another entry say a set dollar amount, like $15 or whatever both based on checkbox one. BUT i also want to populate those same 2 cells with different amounts if i check the other boxes.
Got a formula that goes like this: =IF((L1=1),"Product 1",IF((L2=2),"Product 2",IF((L2=3),"Product 3",IF((L2=4),"Product 4".... and so on for a further 100 or so products. Obviously, this formula is too long for one cell.

So I have an 2 ActiveX button and 2 ActiveX checkboxes. I have it set up so that the Split button will enable when both checkboxes are checked. The ClearAll button has a code/macro in it that will check the "Cleared All" checkbox when the Clearall button is pressed.
My problem is with the "Populated Data" checkbox. I want it to check/uncheck itself if there is anything in Range("A1") of a tab called "Data".
The names of these buttons/checkboxes are
"Cleared All" = ClearCheckBox
"Populated Data" = DataCheckBox
"Split" = SplitButton
I dont know if this can be done, but is it possible to automatically fill a column with check boxes which correspond to data in adjacent cells? I am aware of the marlett method, but Im really looking for some sort of rigid check box appearance, where the user just needs to click, and not type a, or y, etc. I have a macro which outputs a column of numbers in column A, and I would like to figure out if it is possible for a macro to automatically add check boxes in column B for all the values which show up in column A.
This is so that when the user selects some check boxes, the corresponding values in column A are then each copied to copies of a specific sheet, thus creating a multiple copies of the same worksheet for each value. This sounds like it could make a huge memory problem (from what I've read), but Im really dealing with a very small amount of data.
