Want to go to a particular sheet in the same workbook by selecting the sheet name from a list in sheet 2 and clicking a command button. Sheet 2 has a list of all sheets in the workbook and sheet names are in two cells in column A & B (e.g. tdm-216). User to select two cells which are the desired sheet name (all sheet names are unique) and then click macro to jump to that sheet in the workbook. There will be over 100 sheets in the workbook.

I have a workbook with multiple sheets. Is there a tool that creates a menu bar or code that I can add that would support navigation?
My goal is to have something with approximately 4 options (buttons?). They would link to 4 different sheets that serve as indexes within the workbook.
I know I can add a control like a button to a given sheet that would take the user to given sheet when clicked, but can I make the button 'float' above all the sheets, or add to a menu bar, or something? I just don't want to have to add the button to every sheet in the workbook.
I am looking for something simple/easy, and am not looking for anybody to do the work. I just have no idea on how to approach the problem.

I have 2 reports on one worksheet. I have put a button at the top of each report to navigate back and forth. One report is located at a1:S27 - it shows up fine. The issue is the other report located at BA1:BT52. No matter where I assign a name to it the report doesn't come up full page with cell BA1 at the top left hand corner.

I'm going to be creating a workbook that contains a worksheet for each year. Within each worksheet, I will have a calendar format that contains a range for each month of the year (multiple columns and multiple rows). Is it possible to name areas based on month and then create a button or drop down list at the top that would allow users to select the month and the view would go to that area within the calendar?

Let me try it real quick. Auto Merged Post Until 24 Hrs Passes;Ok, that works great, now I have to go back and add all the real units and soldiers. Fun, fun, fun. BTW, you wouldn't happen to know how to add a first worksheet that would have buttons to take you to the different sections? I know how to do the hyperlinks, but I think I read something on here about comboboxes?? If I need to post this somewhere else, then just push me in the right direction. situation: 3 rows of data, row 1 has HDR in several cells (always in A1).
task
1. search row one for next example of cell containing HDR, excluding cell A1.
2. IF found, create a new worksheet and move all data below and/or to the right of that cell to the new sheet.
3. Repeat steps two and three until the search does not turn up another HDR except in A1.

I have a workbook (VBE.xls) that creates menu options in the VBE when it opens.
Several of them modify the code in the active codepane.
When the codepane is in VBE.xls, everything gets reset and my macros don't run anymore. I have to re-run the macro (menu_setup()) that creates the menu options.
I don't think there is anything I can do about it resetting when I modify the project that created the menus.
Is there some way to have each macro re-run menu_setup() AFTER it has ended (after the reset has cleared everything)?
I've tried having each macro open the immediate window and paste in "menu_setup" then tried to use "sendkeys" command to execute it, but I can't seem to get it work.

Need to create a drop down menu for a cell that allows selection of 1 of the 5 to 10 alternatives by clicking on an item in the drop down. Have seen this done by attaching a down arrow button to the cell.
What is this feature called, and how do I go about setting this up?

I have created an Addin from one I found on this site which creates a menu on the CommandBar. On this menu I can add my Macros. The Menu is initially supposed to perform a delete function then an add, just in case the menu already exists on the CommandBar. It is also supposed to Uninstall the menu when you de-select the Addin. At the moment it doesn't seem to be doing either, as I have now got 5 CommandBar menu's all the same and I can't delete them?
This also creates a problem of when I add another macro, the menu on the CommandBar doesn't update with the addition?
I have attached the .xla file for you to look at and see where I'm going wrong.

Need to code to create a custom floating menu which appears on opening the workbook. It works brilliantly, but I'd like to adapt it so that I can create a floating toolbar, which is fully expanded upon opening, where the button faces are plain text which I designate. Let's suppose the macros I want the buttons to trigger are called MacroA and MacroB, and that the text on the buttons should read "Do A" and "Do B".
Sub Create_Menu()
Dim MyBar As CommandBar
Dim MyPopup As CommandBarPopup
Dim MyButton As CommandBarButton
Delete_Menu 'make sure commandbar isn't already running
Set MyBar = CommandBars.Add( Name:="My Menu", _
Position:=msoBarFloating, temporary:=True)
With MyBar
.Top = 175
.Left = 850
Set MyPopup = .Controls.Add(Type:=msoControlPopup)
With MyPopup
.Caption = "My Tools" 'change to suit....................

I've written a ton of VB macros that do various things to a raw data sheet. I want now to create a custom menu (in the the menu ribbon bar at the top of the screen). I'd like this menu to be used to activate the various macros for whoever has my add-in.
I've found several examples on how to create an add-in, and creating custom menus, however they all for when someone opens a workbook with the code, and then they remove the custom menu when the workbook is closed. I would like my custom menu to stay on the users ribbon bar no matter what workbook they have open. The only time the custom menu should not appear is if the user removes the add-in.

I am creating a very simple spreadsheet to manage my gym memberships. It basically has membership number, first name, last name, membership type (drop down box) start date and expiry date. I have put in conditional formatting so that the expiry date goes red when expired but i want to try and automate the inputting of the dates so for example.
If i select '1 week membership) from the drop down box in the membership type box it will firstly change the start date to the current date (i think this is using the NOW() function) and secodnly changes the expriry date to todays date plus 6 days. Ofcourse i want the expiry date to increase depending on the selection so if i select 1 month membership it would be now date plus 28 days.
I am stuck as to how i can do this and from internet tutorials have been told it requires macro as it cant be done any other way?

See attached file - I would like to use the "Create Parts issue Report" Button to create worksheet titled "Parts Issue Report" based on the pulldown menu in cell B1 tab "Vehicle data" so each pulll down will generate a different "Parts Issue Report" when clicking the "Create Parts Issue Report" button. I think it needs to be a looping VBA to go thru the "Vehicle Data" rows and columns looking for the keywords "late" or past" as I only want a report created on that criteria. The output criteria I have label in the tab "Parts Issue Report" I can explain further if needed.

Is their a way to the Enlargen Worksheet Tab Menu in Excel 2003?
I tend to like to have 20-30 worksheets in one file, and its a pain to slide back and forth between the sets of tabs instead of just having one large visible menu with ALL 20-30 TABS.

I am working on a workbook that has a custom worksheet menu bar item created every time the file opens. If I try to edit the path of these macros and save the file, when i reopen the file, it is back to the original paths. I can't find any VB code, hidden worksheets, hidden cells,etc to find the source of this item being created. I have even deleted all VB modules and worksheets except a blank sheet and it still creates the item. Somewhere this menu bar item is being created and I have no idea where. It acts the same on 4 different machines and acts the same on Excel 97, 2000, 2003 and 2007.

I have a table with 150 or so Job Titles down the first column. Across the top row, I have 25 or so courses listed. There are Xs in the table indicating which courses are required for each job title.
This worksheet is intended to be used by individuals who will look up their job title to see which courses they must take. My goal is to simplify this process. I would like to create a worksheet in this workbook which has a drop down list of job titles. When the title is selected the data will transfer to a table on this new worksheet.
I've attached the spreadsheet I have and it's pretty self explanatory.

I have a worksheet with two dropdown menus. The first contains months from January to December, the second contains years from 2011 to 2025. Upon opening the worksheet, I would like the entries selected to match to the month and year of the current system date. I know this is relatively easy to implement but, unfortunately, the macro recorder is of no support here. How to refer to dropdown menus in an Excel worksheet and how to select a specific entry from the dropdown menu?

I am using Excel 2007 on Windows Vista Business 32 bit. I have several workbooks. Each one contains 33 worksheets. 31 of the worksheets are for each day of the month, the other two are for yearly totals and revision history. Recently, a menu bar has appeared at the bottom of my worksheet. At the left is an icon that states that no macros are being recorded, click here to start recording. The center of the bar is blank, but placing the mouse over the bar brings up a customization menu.
At the right side of the bar are three icons dealing with page layout. As I scroll down the worksheet entering data for the day, the cursor goes below the bar and the screen does not move up as it used to do. Also, by using the arrows keys to scroll down, I do not see the bar containing the worksheet names. Luckily, I have a macro that allows me to save the current days worksheet and move to the next one, otherwise I would not be able to do that. When I open a previous month, the bar is there also, so it must be a flag that I can't find or don't know about. Is there a way to get things back to normal?

I do a lot of horse racing ratings in Excel, in fact its the only way I do the form these days.
The thing is I'm always looking for ways to save time and was thinking the other day about how I enter the results.
I would like to have "drop down menus" for each of the place getters that I get from another sheet in the workbook.
Is there a way to do this? I'm using excel 2007 (which I love)
Race 1 sheet is named race1 and have up to 24 horses/names to pick from
