i would like to do is create a class module so that when the user double clicks on a label a msgbox will open saying the name of the double clicked label. If someone can get me to this point i can modify the code to suit my needs.
Some other things really quick though. I have 80 labels, but i only need this to work for labels 1 through 40 and the labels are on a multipage control within the userform.
I've created two modules, card and pack. Card has three variables (value, name, suit) and pack is made up of an array of 52 cards. Referencing it from a test module (NOT a class module) I expected to be able to use debug.print pack.card(32).suit to return the suit of the 32nd card. Instead I get an error message "Object or With variable not set". What am I doing wrong

I would like to create a class module that it's the same as a connector shape (for example), but with additional custom properties defined by me. For example, I would like it to have a temperature property.
So, for example if I write in a Sub procedure:

A new connector appears in the activesheet, but this connector must have my custom defined properties available to VBA Code
Possible to create a class that contains a textbox and a label?
I need something like a checkbox except instead of showing a check mark, it shows how many time the checkbox is clicked.
What I can think of is a combination of a textbox and a label. When the label is clicked, the number in the textbox increases (or decreases, depending on a pre-set condition) by one.
What exactly is a Class Module? I've tried doing some searching on Google and haven't really found a straight answer as to what a class module is and what it is used for. How does it differ from a Normal Module?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have two user forms, each with a checkbox for Jan-Dec. Also, I have a checkbox "All" to check/uncheck the Jan-Dec boxes. I also created a class module so that if any of the Jan-Dec boxes get unchecked, while the "All" box is still checked, it will uncheck the All box. Basically I just don't want the All checkbox to be able to be checked while any single month is unchecked. The only/easiest way I found to do this was with a class module, so I would not need to create individual Checkbox_Jan_Click() events for each month.
Now my issue is, I have 2 userforms like this. I'd like them to share the same class module, but in the class module I need to refer to UserForm1.CheckBox_All. So I need to dynamically refer to whichever userform was active, but as far as I can tell, this is not possible.
I have written a public function inside a class module. Is there anyway I could call the public function in Excel? What is the exact syntax to do it?

When the form is opening I don't get the correct sum for the textbox "TBSum601". It should be 200 but I get 14464
When I then also change a number in the form for any control like "TB7%", the change trigger event doesn't seem to occur....

As shown, the reference to the corresponding lable from within the class doesn't work. How to reference the correct corresponding label.
I have a userform with a single blank multipage. At runtime additional pages are added, the number of pages depends on input from another userform. Six frames, containing labels, textboxes and comboboxes are then added to each page.
I need to be able to use the textbox and combobox change events of these dynamically created controls to perform lookups and calculations. Although I can name the controls at the time they are created, it is not feasible to write code specifically for each control (I can have over 1,600 text boxes distributed over 9 pages, for example).
Having searched for some time on how to achieve this I believe using a class module is the way to go. However, how to use a class module is just not sinking in I'm afraid.

I am doing a "Lost and found" spreadsheet project for a hotel.
Each row contains the lost items with all the necessary info in separate cells (Room nr, found by, reference nr, client name, etc)
Every item is being bagged and then a label is put on it. ( has the same information but its just arranged prperly. (Like a label )
What I would like to do is to have a column in each row that has a "print" button. What would happen is that the macro would create a label in sheet2, print it on the default printer and then erase everything on sheet2. (I am kind of new to macros so I dont even know if I need to use the sheet 2 for it).
I have already done a kind of a template for the label and set it up on sheet2. I would probably manage to get the print function working with the online tutorials(if not i'll be back) but can't figure out how to do the first bit of it.
Is there a way to write a Worksheet_SelectionChange (ByVal Target As Range) event in module after creating a sheet in VBA? I constantly delete a sheet, then repopulate it with a new one that is empty, but I need to add some code that happens if they should change a particular cell. It worked when I ran it on a worksheet without refreshing, but as soon as I cleared and repopulated the sheet, it was gone. Is there a way to preserve this?

I have a userform in Excel and I would like to have a label calculate from the sum of 3 different labels. I have tried a few ways of which none worked.

The reason that I have it as a public sub is that I am calling it to Private Sub extBox12_Change() as well as a couple of other textboxes so that when ever TextBox12 or the other textBoxes gets changed, the value will recalculate. The "other textBoxes" change the values of label443, 444, 445, 385, 386, 387 etc..
i've reached a point where i would like to learn more about class modules but i have no resources. When i create a Class object can i visually see it? i want to know as i'm looking to use them within userforms if possible

As it is now everything is working fine but does not return a value in "Cell" if the procedure is called. Is there another way?
I created a userform where if a value from cell x is true then the label caption changes to value in cell z. While everything works fine, the label caption does not seem to appear in my userform until i click on the label. Is there anyway that it can appear automatically once the userform opens?

I've created a class called CStock. It has 5 standard properties (with Get/Let methods) as explained in that article above. Nothing fancy here.
I also want to create a CPortfolio class that has 3 properties: pName, pNumberofPositions, and pHoldings. the first 2 are stardard, but the last one is different. I want it to somehow keep a collection of stocks.

I'm working for a local authority who have been given a mass of survey data. In this particular task, residents of each small district within our area have been asked their levels of satisfaction with a service, and how important they think that service is. I want to plot these two values against each other using a scatterplot, and label each service.
Excel does not automatically allow this so I used a very good sheet from the forums here: Attach labels with names to the points in a scatter plot. It's the top file, and works well. However, I can't seem to customise it for my own data.
Problems include:
- Excel often freezing when I try to run it
- Not all the data being picked up for the chart
- Incorrect labels being picked up..........
I have a lot of text in a cell and I want to create a Hyperlink using only 2 or 3 words and not the whole text. Unfortunately, it seems as though the hyperlink can only be from the cell itself. Is it possible with Excel to create a Hyperlink from a section of text in a cell, and NOT from the cell itself?

I would like to run a macro by clicking a cell. I don't want a toolbar button/menu item and Hyperlinks don't work. Can this be done?
More info: My macro selects the current row in Sheet A and moves it (cut & Paste) to Sheet B in the workbook. The macro then goes back to Sheet A and deletes the now blank row.

Above is the formula that I have, I am putting it into Column L. When I do auto fill every row that has data in J and K the formula goes into as you would expect.
However the formula does not activate until I double click inside each individual row and hit enter. Therefore if the calculation in L4 was 1.0, then 1.0 will appear as the calculation in every row of Column L until I double click in each row individually and press enter.
Is there a way to disallow certain cells to be clicked on?
