Custom Function: Count Weekdays Between Dates Shows #NAME

I know there have been posts regarding this before, but I can't quite get any of them to work. I'm trying to create a function which counts the number of working days between two dates. I've come up with the following code, but it doesn't work.
Function dayscount(Firstdate As Date, Lastdate As Date)
Dim x As Long
x = 0
For i = Firstdate To Lastdate
If WorksheetFunction.Weekday(i, 1) > 1 And WorksheetFunction.Weekday(i, 1) < 7 Then
x = x + 1

I then use the formula "dayscount(A1,B1)", where A1 is my first date, and B1 is my last date.

I need to run job between 4 July 2012 and 1 September 2012 but only Monday through Friday.
I have used weekdays() to find the name of dates between these two dates but need to narrow to Monday through Fridays.

I am currently assigning dates to a list manually by giving 5 dates on Mondays to Fridays. I currenly need to do this for around 500 rows and as you can imagine this takes some time.
Is there a way to have a formula that would assign for instance 5 dates on each weekday, purley by dragging the formula down?

I am using office 2003 and I need to create the conditional (just like in the attached image), but I need that the days -1 (day) -2(days) or -3 (days) that are in the end of each formula, I need them to be weekdays (i don't want the to count weekends.

I'm not sure if using the Dcount formula is the right one in my example below, but I can't get it to work. Here is my data:

I'm looking for a formula that would count the number of Weekdays with data in it. So the answer would be 3. As I enter data into column F, G, H, etc. the count would go up and would always skip "Sat" and "Sun".

I have a file with 3 sheets with Sales data. First sheet is for capturing Sales data, second sheet, with some Weekly Analysis and Monthly Analysis using COUNTIFS, third is charts based on second sheet's formulas.
When I use COUNTIFS function to capture the monthly sales nos, the working days in different months vary from each, obviously. Some months have 20 days, some with 21 days, some with 22/23 days. How to write a correct code for varying working days, because I have to capture only the working days in a month, and in THAT MONTH only, leaving all Sat days and Sun days?
My formula goes like this in cell E3 and I have attached my sample file as well.
=COUNTIFS(Master!$B$2:$B$5000,">="&$D$2-30,Master!$B$2:$B$5000,
"<="&$D$2,Master!$C$2:$C$5000,"="&$D3)
eg: If I want to measure Monthly Sales performance for a salesman, Date of Sales Performance measure will be done on the last WorkingDay/WeekDay of that month, in the month Sep-2013, Performance will be taken on 30-Sep-2013, till the 21 weekdays backwards. i.e. 02-Sep-2013. In the month of Aug or Feb the no of weekdays differs.

I need a formula that can count items that are past due by up to 30 days, 60, or 90 days. I'd guess the total of all 3 values should = the total past due.
I have the total past due as =COUNTIF(A!I$1:I$278, "<=" & TODAY() )

I have an order tracking sheet that has start times in column B, end times in column C and the processing time in column A. The start and end times are recorded in ddmmyy hhmm format (9/1/09 13:30).
On another sheet I have dates listed for each workday. Next to these dates I am wanting a formula/macro that will traverse through column B and provide the number of orders and average processing time that match this. I also plan on recording the shortest and longest processing time next to these.

How come the WEEKNUM formula in the attached file does not work?
The cell gives me "#Name?", and I have no idea why.
I noticed one thing though, which is that WEEKNUM function is described when I look in "Help", but the function is not in my "Insert Function"-wizard, so perhaps the function is not there at all, which is very odd.

I need to create a Date Column (format = Friday, Janurary 10, 2007) for the entire year of 2007 that will display only the Tuesday and Friday of every week for every month ( total 2007 date entries : 52 weeks x 2 = 104 Dates). The format of the date is something that I will setup using the Format Cell menu options.
Is this task possible in Excel without involving a VBA script, because I'm not a VBA programmer? I tried setting up a formula to accomplish this task but the problem I'm having is that I can't add numberical values to Date values.

With text typed: 26-6 - 27-6
(Or something along the lines of)
I know that dd mmm will display one date. But I cannot get 2 dates formatted. I tried dd mmm; dd mmm" - "dd mmm, which didn't work.

Basically I have 2 columns each with a list of dates in no particular order (and containing blank cells too), one planned date column and one actual date column.
What I need to do is plot this on a graph, and since the number of dates has no set limit and I dont want to have to plot maybe 100 dates on the x axis, so i want to group them by week before plotting them, i.e. 10 dates for week ending 10th jan, 25 dates for week ending 17th jan etc
I have a pivot table that counts how many of each date occurs, i.e. 10 x 2nd jan, 7x 3rd jan etc etc but it does not split them into weeks.
im sure theres an easyish way of doing it so i can get the 2 lines on the graph for no. of planned dates each week and no. of actual dates each week, i just cant see it.

Today I am having a very annoying problem that really has me stumped – I need to work out the lag between a Due Date and Delivered Date
But as people sometimes manage to deliver on the Due Date it needs to show a zero (as in they got it in on time) but using the formula below the result is a 1 and I want a zero
Can anyone help me please? I have tried putting assorted -1s in to the formula and it looks like it might work until I copy down and find that if a person delivered one day early the result shows -3 for example!

In Cells B2:B100, i have dates that which have been entered using a combo box (the dates type is for e.g. 14th March 2010 format)
I want a formula that will count the cells that have dates between 1st April 2010 to 30th June 2010 in cells B2:B100
Also, I would like a formula that counts weekend dates between 1st April 2010 to 30th June 2010?

I have a sheet named "XYZ Activity" with meeting dates in column B starting with cell B4. There are duplicates in this list, that should only be viewed as one meeting. On another sheet, each company that attends the meeting has a specific join date found in Column C (C4 is the first company start date). I am trying to figure out an equation that will count how many meetings the company could have attended. I already calculate the total meetings they have attended using either of the following equations:

The attached workbook has dates in column C, although some of these dates are just strings.
I'm trying to write some vba that will tell me how many of the cells in column C contain a date (or looks like a date) that is greater than (after) the real date in cell G1.
At the moment I loop through the cells in column C and can ascertain, which dates can be counted, then copy one row over at a time, but I'm looking for a slicker (perhaps one-liner) answer, perhaps by copying a block of rows in one go. The aim is to copy those rows to another sheet. There are many more rows than in the attached, and many sheets to process, and I have no control over the format of the dates/strings in column C. Currently it takes about 20 seconds to copy over the necessary rows, but I'm looking for it to happen much more quickly; current thoughts are to sort on column C (sorting on column C anything that looks like a number as a number - which has it's own problems!), have a count of dates satisfying the criterion (say using a worksheet formula such as COUNTIF or SUMPRODUCT, perhaps also using EVALUATE) then copy a block of rows in one go.

I have a set of data being output by a reporting application as XLS data. For each day of business the report is run, I have a set of 100 rows of data. In each of the these rows of data there is a date field and a locationID field.
What I need to do is add a calculated value on each row that specifies the day of the week (MON, TUES, WED, Etc.) and which occurrence of that days of the week it is for the data set. The enumeration of which occurrence of the day of the week (ie. MON-1, MON-1, MON-3) is determined not by how many dates fall on Monday for the data set, but how many Mondays fall between the earliest and latest dates for that location in the data set.
Example:
The data set contains sales data for location XX from 4/6/09 (A Monday) to 4/22/09 (A Wednesday).
The data set contains sales data for location YY from 1/18/10 (A Monday) to 2/9/10 (A Tuesday).
Example:
Location XX's data's earliest date is 4/6/09, it's latest date is 4/22/09
From 4/6/09 to 4/22/09 there occurs:
3 Mondays
3 Tuesdays
3 Wednesday
2 Thursdays
2 Fridays
2 Saturdays
2 Sundays
Location YY's data's earliest date is 1/18/10 it's latest date is 2/9/10
From 1/18/10 to 2/9/10 there occurs:
4 Mondays
4 Tuesdays
3 Wednesday
3 Thursdays
3 Fridays
3 Saturdays
3 Sundays
For all data for location XX, I need to set the new calculated columns to:
Where Date = 4/6/09 & Location = XX, DOW# column = MON-1
Where Date = 4/13/09 & Location = XX, DOW# column = MON-2
Where Date = 4/20/09 & Location = XX, DOW# column = MON-3
Repeat for all dates between min-max date for that location
For all data for location YY, I need to set the new calculated columns to:

A typical data run will have data for 4 or more locations spanning 30-60 days, so figuring out a formula that I can drop onto a column of the exported data so i can run pivot table analysis would be great.

Imagine i have 2 columns: Open and Close, both of these got numbers like
1 ---- 2
3 ---- 1
4 ---- 10
and so on. I had to make a function which checks if some number is in between any of those Open and Close numbers and count how many, for example: im searching for number 1.3, so according to previously drawn table i would get answer of 2, because 2 is in between 1----2 and 3-----1, i achieved this by a simple function:
=IF(OR(AND(Bendras!$J$1>=Table1[[#This Row],[Open]],(Table1[[#This Row],[Close]]>=Bendras!$J$1)),AND((Bendras!$J$1<=Table1[[#This Row],[Open]]),(Table1[[#This Row],[Close]]<=Bendras!$J$1))),TRUE,FALSE)
this generated an additional column with TRUE and FALSE values which i counted with:
=COUNTIF(Table1[T/F],TRUE)
and got the answer.
so now then preparations are ready i need to make a function which would for example if the number i was searching was in 10th and 45th rows find the MAX/MIN values of Close column between those rows(hope i made my self clear)
this is how i was hoping to do that : first of all make a new array of all cell addresses from "Close" column which were "TRUE" from the first function i wrote and when do w/e i like with those cell addresses in other functions.

My co-worker created a function that would calculate the standard deviation according to whatever range is selected by the user.

I have created a custom Function in excel. I would like to create a custom button so I can run this funtion with a Click of a button unstead of typing it in or clicking on the insert function button. I am not sure if this is possible to have VB call a custom function. Below is my VB for the Custom Function. I basically want the custom button to open the formula in excel.

I am very proficient at Excel/VBA and have a question about custom/user-defined functions that may be a little more advanced. I understand how to write custom functions and access them through the user-defined functions menu, but I would like to be able to include my function in an add-in that users could simply add, and then access the function via the 'Fx' box at the top of Excel, like they would any other built-in function, instead of having to go to the user-defined functions menu. I guess what I am looking for is how to add 'built-in' functions and not user-defined ones. I just want the user to start typing '=customFunction(' and have the parameters pop-up in tool-tip form, like any Excel built-in function would.

I'm from Bavaria, Germany. Right now, I am doing an internship for my studies. my problem: I need a search procedure which shows an Input Box where you can enter a word to search for. It should work like the original Excel search (Ctrl-F), but with a simpler design, like with my own Text "Enter your Query" and a Button "Submit Query" / "Quit search". Is there the possibility to Highlight the Search Target? The problem hereby is that this highlighting should not be permanent. That means the user sees the target for which he searched for, the cell highlighted in a different color, etc. But as soon as the user clicks onto another cell, etc., the highlighting vanishes. If there is no fitting match, there should be a MessageBox like "Sorry the Target xyz cannot be found"
