Date Based Bar Chart Macro Code

I am working on a manning document which tells me when people report, and depart based on their job position. I have all of the info in one worksheet, and want to generate a bar like graph on another worksheet in the workbook (by just changing the cell color for ease) for a snapshot to view holes in job positions.
The snapshot worksheet has the list of jobs on the left, and months/years in a line acorss the top i.e.

I want to write a macro to add a surface chart for a Data Range which includes 6000 data points. But the series selected for the chart don't cover all Data Ranges, only part of them.

I have a program that updates values quarterly when run. The spreadsheet that it works with also contains a couple of pie charts that correspond to the updated data. the charts only have one series with category values. I recorded a macro to see the code excel uses for creating a new chart and tried to modify the statements to my needs but have been running into runtime error 1004 ("Method ' Cells' of Object '_Global' failed"). The code is as follows I don't have any trouble until the last two statements.

The variables fundtr1, fundtr2, and emptycolvar are public, and are all returning values, so there is no problem there. Also I can't use ranges like "A1:F7" because the range needs to be variable.

I have a spreadsheet (see attached) in which there are many series and i want to be able to delete most of the series except the first 4.
(The 0%, 5% 10% air voids and the 95% comp line)
iv got this code, which is attacted to a command button, which works fine to delete all the series but makes the graph a blank white box. id prefer it so it delete just the series not the graph "picture?" ...

I have managed to create something similar to what i am working for using an example from Lacher and Gant Charts. i am now stuck as I can enter more than 40 status as it then gives me an error. In VBA, how to add a secondary x-axis in the lower portion of the chart if I already have the primary axis in the upper part?
This code
ActiveChart.HasAxis(xlCategory, xlSecondary) = True
just adds it to the upper if I have the primary at lower.

I have about 50 lincharts that I wont to update with VBA but they have different number of series. Some have two series, some three and others four. Is there a way to count how many series a chart has? Otherwise could I get tips on how to approach this problem.

I have a bar graph with 2 series of data. Anyone knows how I can specify the order in which they appear? code looks similar to the following. The bar graph shows the second series before the first series. How do I reverse the order?

I am wanting the colors of the bars in a stacked chart to change based on the date in the X Axis. As the current date arrives, the stacked bar needs to change to various blue shades. If the date is in the future, the stacked bar needs to be various grey shades.

I currently have a simply bar chart that is based on a running 5 days figure so the X-axis is like 01-Mar 02-Mar 03-Mar ...
Y-Axis is the data that I am trying to present - Total $
The source of this data is simply two columns - Column A is the running date, Column B will be data.
Daily I need to only present 5 days historical data based on the latest date i.e. today and the past four days (the source data is updated daily).
Can a macro be used to auto update the bar charts based on today's date?

I have this concept of a table of responses that have to be generated every month or on command. These reports export from a website into a certain format, its easy for me to adjust it so it can populate a the table. Although, i want to incorparate my date picker so everytime i pick a certain date a diffrent set of data will populate from the report. it seems very possible, just need to know where to go from. Either a VBA code or a fomula to allow for this to happen.
Heres and example..(cell linked to date picker)........column1 column2 column3,(date picker from microsoft),,each has a corresponding month

.....................................................................etc.
say i pick january, i want these columns to give me my data from a sheet or other workbook(the january report). i want everything linked so it will do this for virtually every month of the year. ive attached an example, the only thing i can think of is to make the cell that changes with when i pick a date to link to the report criteria.

i have a sheet for monitoring sickness. i have used a macro before which automatically selects a range and emails it to recipients when i press a button. what i would like to do is have excel automatically choose the range for me based on today's day. in the attached example i would like column "A" copied along with the 5 columns before today's date, today's date column and also the 5 columns after today's date. paste the lot into an email and send. (i have highlghted the parts i would like copied and pasted into an email based on today's date (21st july).

I have a column which has dates in format: dd/mm/yyyy - there are no headers in this worksheet.
I need to sort the worksheet according to the row date field ... but it's causing issues.
It is assuming the dd is mm ... and when i reverse the format to yyyy/mm/dd before sorting - then it assumes mm is mm BUT it keep sorting with dd, regardless of the month. with both ways, the assumptions are interchangeable ...

I'm writing a macro that will pull a set of dates from a worksheet and put them into an array. Then I want to find the max date in the array (most likely using some sort of sorting method).
The code below is how I'm putting the dates into an array. I'm not sure if using the date data type is best. I can't tell how it will sort the information. Is there an easy way to find the maximum of an array of dates?

I have cells in a column that record time in date. Unformatted it would appear as 19789.51407 but formatted to show time and date it would as appear as 3/6/54 12:20 PM. I am making graphs with the data and I want the title of my x axis to read "GMT Time (mm/dd/yyyy - mm/dd/yyyy)" or "GMT Time (mm/dd/yyyy)" depending on if the event spans more then one day. Using the following code, it almost accomplishes this.

Where "Drag" is a variable that signifies the total number of cells in the column; ie the first and last dates. It compares the values and saves the results as a string. The problem is that when the string is saved it saves the date in mm/dd/yyyy hh/mm/ss. How can i separate the date from the time so I can have the title of my x axis appear as i need them?

i need to group the values based on A, B, C columns.
which means all "Chickpea_B-1_11area_3d.csv " will have same timestamp and mean_area_3d values, only D column vlaue changes.....
in the same way, all "Chickpea_B-1_12area_3d.csv" will have same timestamp and mean_area_3d values, only D column vlaue changes.....
now i need all Chickpea_B-1_11area_3d.csv values to be grouped into one. and chickpea_B-1_12area_3d.csv values to be grouped into one..
if you see the output sheet, you will understand clearly, which i did manually for your easy understanding...
i did manually and also attached the sheet for your kind reference and easy understanding... where i grouped all Chickpea_B-1_11_area_3daver_domain_area, fill_factor, leaf_angle_theta, plantHeight, projected_leaf_a into one.... where b and c cols are same for all the D E F G H I Values. in the same way for Chickpea_B-1_12_area_3d and all other below values to be grouped.
like this i have to do for 1000 files. please find the attachment...

I know this has been discussed a number of times, but here is my problem
I have three charts in my workbook. I want to attach a macro so that when the chart is clicked it returns to Sheet - Home. I have using the following:
worksheets("Home").activate. But after I protect each chart and the workbook, and save and exit. When I reload the Workbook it has forgotten the assigned macros and nothing happens.

Which means, I need to group the data for every two hours. in the output I need all 4 cols namely A, B, C, D along with extra col namely, interval based on which I need these groupings to be done..
The code has to be really flexible so that it works for all dates and times in the files. Because like this I have to do for 2000 files.....

I have a spreadsheet that calculates percentages and then outputs the results to a pie chart. There are 9 different percentages being graphed in cells A41 to A49. The chart looks weird if any of the percentages end up being 0, so I have the formula set to add 0.00001 to each calculation (so they show up as 0% and display on the chart as 0%, but truly are 0.00001). I would like it so that if any of these 9 percentages ends up being 0 (or really 0.00001) that the row automatically hides and thus won't display on the pie chart. How can I create a macro that automatically runs to accomplish this, and automatically updates as percentages are recalculated.

Does anyone have a VB macro that will copy information from a cell (this will be variable based on criteria) and paste it into the middle of another cell that contains HTML code?
The criteria for the copy/insert/paste is that the information in the cell that is to be copy/inserted must match up with the correct number (part number).
I hope this makes sense. I have attached an example spreadsheet. (Pictures are worth 1000 words. ) Hope someone can help. I checked this site and couldn't find anything that was solved that matched the specifics.

I have a VBA or function query.
I have a spread sheet with the following.
Column A contains asset names
Column H to JZ contains cash outflows for each asset
Row 17 contains a Month&Date value (ie. July2013)
What i want to do is, from another sheet, is to calculate the sum of all cash outflows for the asset (determined by a cell value) for a date range entered. In other words, if i say 1/7/2012 to 30/6/2014, it will look the asset up, and sum the value of cashflows, in colums that fall between those dates for that asset.

I have a spreadsheet with a number of sheets.
I need to extract a number of cells, based on the date of another cell and then past these values into a column on anther sheet.
Example: Sheet "Name1" in Column "G" is where I want the values to be pasted.
Sheet "Name2" has the dates in Column "B". I wish to extract the entries in Column "K" into Column "G" on Sheet "Name 1". I also have another Sheet, "Name 3" which has the the date field in column "B" and the entries I wish to extract in Column "K"and pasted in column "G" on the "Name 1"sheet.
The date range I'll be looking to past is by Month and year. The date fomat is dd/mm/yyyy.

I have attached a spreadsheet illustrating my query.
I would like to run a sub procedure called generatedataset then I'd like to enter a date from column J (starting from J4) into G12 ( cell G12 is a named range called effective_date). Then enter the concatenation of the adjacent cells K4 and L4 and place this into cell G9 (cell G9 is a named range called dataset_name). Then call the procedure again. Repeating for all values in range starting at J4 extending down, and for all corresponding concatenated values in K and L.
Data would always be taken from columns J or K&L and placed in the same cells ie G12 (named range effective_date) and G9 (named range dataset_name) respectively.
