Excel 2003 :: Right Click Not Working In Sheets
Aug 8, 2014By chance I have opened a sheet with some macro and after that 'right click' is not working in any of the excel sheets (even newly created ones) in sheet names tab.
i.e., I can't delete/rename/insert etc in any sheet by rightclicking the sheet name.
Even the Edit->'delete sheet' is disabled. However, Insert->worksheet is enabled.
How to make the right click enabled. (excel version 2003)

At the top of my 'new service" page, I need a button, which I then need to have a macro run on.
Sheet 1 is basically where I'd be entering the info, and sheet 2 where it would be stored. The button at the top is called Generate New "service' Number. This then needs to generate a new number on sheet 2 in A2 (then once 2 is populated, generate new in 3, then 4, then 5 etc...
I have a macro on Save Service Button at the bottom, which transposes the data into what would be used as a database to store all the services. That Macro then also needs to only transpose and paste data into the row corresponding with the "service number".

For example if I have multiple workbooks open under one instance of excel I do not want to have to minimize this and that... I have multiple monitors and I would like to hit a button on a selected workbook and have it auto open it to a new instance of excel. I have a master "update" commandbutton on sheet 1. I have two sub "update" buttons on sheet 2 and 3 respectively.
What I would like to do is have the user click the master button, that would "click" the two sub buttons so they run their respective macros on their respective worksheets (within the same worksheet.
I have tried pasting the macro code in the master button, telling it to select the sub worksheet and then run the macro, but the marco runs itself on the master worksheet instead.

I have a macro and want to allocate it to a "button" . The macro is all ok.
So I make visible the FORMS floating toolbar / icon set.
There are 16 icons on this floating toolbar / icon set.
But the icon for button is missing, in that it is just 100% blank.
The other 15 icons are all ok, such as "Group Box".
Normally I would click this "button" icon, then draw my button, then allocate my macro to it.

I open the control toolbox, select command button and place it on the worksheet. with the button selected and in design mode I click on the hyperlink button on the toolbar and allocate the hypelink address. Click on the button and it works fine untill I exit design mode then the button stops working.

Mar 13, 2014I have an excel file containing 50 sheets which we use as an accreditation test. Each sheet contains one question to which there are several possible answers. These answers (for example, A, B, C and D) are option buttons and when a user selects one, that selection is recorded as their response which is then marked. After answering a question they click a NEXT button to move on and as they move on the previous sheet (question) is hidden so they only ever see the current question sheet.
This has worked well for us for a few years, but we have just noticed some odd behaviour on ONE SPECIFIC sheet. The option button the user selects on that sheet (it is actually question 13 in the sequence) is not stored after the test is completed. However on every other sheet, the selection is stored fine - just this one sheet. The properties of all objects on the rouge sheet are the same as the other sheets. I have duplicated a working sheet and tried replacing the question 13 sheet to try that, but the problem persists.
I tried deleting that Q13 sheet and running the test without it and the same problem occured but this time on the preceeding sheet (question 12) which suggests it is not the actual sheet that is causing the problem.

May 8, 2012I have a userform that has a combobox in it that also has an OK button and a Cancel Button. Need getting the combobox to pull in the correct list? The data for this list will be in cells A2 through A16. But not all 15 lines will always have data in them so I'd like to only show the ones with data. Then next issue i have is I would like the OK button on this userform to actually erase the data the user has clikced on in the combobox. It's a list of kids that the userform is asking which one needs to be deleted. So it might be the kid in cell A9. so when the user clicks on that kid in the combobox form a9 and hits ok I'd like to have all the kids below A9 move up one row.

However, when I try and create these codes using a Command button (I need it for the color), I get the error
"unable to get the buttons property of the Worksheet class"
P.S one other thing, say the button is in row 3, and Cells A1 and A2 are merged, when you click the button in row 3, it should extend the merge to A3.

Unfortunately, the data it pulls is usually old. I've found the only solution is to open a browser manually and to click the Reload button on the web page then navigate back to my workbook and run it again. Then it will pull the most up to date info.
I've tried several ways of forcing a refresh of the data, but have not figured it out yet.
I have been trying the past couple of hours to use the send keys button to tab down to the button on the page I need and to hit enter, thus forcing a refresh, but I can't seem to get that to work either.

ive used this type of method many tiems, and cant see what the problem is, have tried all combination of locking and unlocking cells in and around etc, but nothign changes it.

Ive been using the code from Daves Download Page to log users of the spreadsheet, however im now want to log which button is being clicked the most. Is this possible? Ive tried to do it myself, by adding a hidden sheet, and adding code to each button to add a line to the new sheet each time the button was clicked etc, but faield miserably.

Mar 16, 2012I have a form that allows users to browse for a file so the location can be stored in a cell. When they select a file the form then creates another area so people can browse for another file. (Similar to an attach a file on an email)
The problem I have is that when I create the next button I don't know how to add a _click event to it.
