Excel 2003 :: Userform - Ok Button To Delete Data When Clicked On In Combobox

I have a userform that has a combobox in it that also has an OK button and a Cancel Button. Need getting the combobox to pull in the correct list? The data for this list will be in cells A2 through A16. But not all 15 lines will always have data in them so I'd like to only show the ones with data. Then next issue i have is I would like the OK button on this userform to actually erase the data the user has clikced on in the combobox. It's a list of kids that the userform is asking which one needs to be deleted. So it might be the kid in cell A9. so when the user clicks on that kid in the combobox form a9 and hits ok I'd like to have all the kids below A9 move up one row.

I currently have a small userform placed at the bottom right of the screen (with a command button on it) and this opens up on top of excel instances and other applications/windows and it is set so that you can't interact with anything except the userform.
I wanted to minimize the userform and give focus to immediate next window (can be excel or non excel applications) for 10 seconds and then activate/show the userform back again, when the "Button 1" on the userform is clicked.
I tried hiding the userform, but this doesn't give focus to the immediate next window. Below is the code

I could only find answers for adding minimize and maximize buttons to userform.
When the button is clicked, it should perform
Step a - Minimize the userform
Step b - Give focus to the next immediate window behind the userform
Step c - Wait for 10 seconds
Step d - Bring back the userform its to state.

I have a user form that has one combo box on it that right now references one column of data.
Now I am being asked to have three columns of data and the combo box to show one of the three when a certain criteria is met.
I believe it would be easiest to have an additional combox with a change event when the box is populated with "whatever" in the field
So S:3 to S:5 have A, B, C
And EC:1-EC:59, ED:1-ED:59, EE:1-EE:59 contain the data that should show when S:3, S:4, or S:5 is selected.
If S:3 is selected then the list in EC:1 - EC59 would show and so on.

I'm using Excel 2003
Cell D7 - data validation reads as such: It is a List and the source is I6:I7. I have In-Cell dropdown selected. Ignore Blank is not checked.
I now password protect the sheet and only D7 is unlocked. real simple, the person using it can only use D7 and select one of two in the drop down menu.
The problem is, if the user clicks on D7 and hits delete, the cell goes blank. How can I avoid this?

I am currently running VBA when ComboBox1 is selected ComboBox2 shows specific information based on lists in the spreadsheet.
Now I would like it if ComboBox2 showed "Business Improvement" then ComboBox3 will show information set in that list.
Also, my submit button isn't working and I can't find out what's wrong using the debugger

I have a macro and want to allocate it to a "button" . The macro is all ok.
So I make visible the FORMS floating toolbar / icon set.
There are 16 icons on this floating toolbar / icon set.
But the icon for button is missing, in that it is just 100% blank.
The other 15 icons are all ok, such as "Group Box".
Normally I would click this "button" icon, then draw my button, then allocate my macro to it.

Running excel 2003 and have a number of sheets where i want buttons along the headings to sort a selection of rows.
For Eaxample one sheet i have data in range A6:AD135. i would like to assign a macro to various buttons on row 5 to sort by that column ie button in column b sorts all data in the range by column B.

I am trying to attach a hyperlink to a command button in excel 2003. I open the control toolbox, select command button and place it on the worksheet. with the button selected and in design mode I click on the hyperlink button on the toolbar and allocate the hypelink address. Click on the button and it works fine untill I exit design mode then the button stops working.

I have an excel file containing 50 sheets which we use as an accreditation test. Each sheet contains one question to which there are several possible answers. These answers (for example, A, B, C and D) are option buttons and when a user selects one, that selection is recorded as their response which is then marked. After answering a question they click a NEXT button to move on and as they move on the previous sheet (question) is hidden so they only ever see the current question sheet.
This has worked well for us for a few years, but we have just noticed some odd behaviour on ONE SPECIFIC sheet. The option button the user selects on that sheet (it is actually question 13 in the sequence) is not stored after the test is completed. However on every other sheet, the selection is stored fine - just this one sheet. The properties of all objects on the rouge sheet are the same as the other sheets. I have duplicated a working sheet and tried replacing the question 13 sheet to try that, but the problem persists.
I tried deleting that Q13 sheet and running the test without it and the same problem occured but this time on the preceeding sheet (question 12) which suggests it is not the actual sheet that is causing the problem.
This is the vb code we have on each sheet

How do you create a reference number to be posted in a userform2 that is opened from an earlier userform1 where you have entered some initialisation data and generated a source reference number. ie set of data has reference X and there will be y items in that set want references in form X01 to Xy (y unlikely to exceed 20). Want to put references 'X01' into the userform2 and cycle through data entry in userform2 from source reference X01 to Xy. (I'm having problems with the transfer from 1 to 2!)

I have a spreadsheet with a variable number of xlButtonControl type form controls. The actual number of buttons depends on the amount of data that the spreadsheet is being asked to summarise. All the button controls use the ".OnAction" property to point execution on click to a common procedure.
Unfortunately that much is what it is and is beyond my control, so I just have to work with that.
What I would like to know is if there is a property or method I can access from within the common OnAction procedure that enable me to identify which button was pressed. If this was a CommandBar environment I would use the ActionControl property. Since it's not, and since I can't change it (not even to use ActiveX controls!), does anyone know an equivalent that I can use in this case?

I'm creating some userforms for a spreadsheet on Excel 2003 and was wondering if it is possible to have the date field and time field as drop down boxes?
I would ideally like the date field to have 3 drop down boxes (date, month and year) and then the time field to have 2 drop down boxes (hours (in 24 hour time) and minutes).
The date and time would then populate one cell each on the spreadsheet.

I have several buttons which, when clicked, pull up a range of data from another tab. Each button repopulates the appropriate cells with its specific data. I need to have an identification of which data set I'm currently viewing so was considering having the button, when clicked, change color or background/lettering colors swap, etc, until another button is clicked, then it changes color and the original button returns to the standard format. Is this possible? What type of button do I need to use?

Is there a way in VBA to reference the activeX button which has been clicked? Like a ThisWorkbook equivalent for a button?
I have quite a few button whereby they set a parameter for a procedure 'TrendData' based on the row they sit in. Currently I just have the row number hard coded i.e. Call TrendData(5) but I want to amend this so that when I add a row it doesn't offset all my buttons.
For Example
Call TrendData(CommandButton3.TopLeftCell.Row)
However instead of typing CommandButton3, CommandButton4, etc. I would like the code to know which button had been clicked and just use that?

There was a similar question I found answered in the archives. However the solution given there (using ActiveSheet.Buttons(Application.Caller).TopLeftCell.xxx) does not work in my case.
A little googling and I think the reason is that I added my buttons from the toolbar and not from the forms editor. My buttons are in the OLEObjects collection, not in Buttons.
So how do I determine which of my OLEObjects was clicked? Is there something similar to "Application.Caller"?

I will place the button in dirrerent locations. What I need to do is get the column that the top-left corner of the button and assign that to "cs".

I have a spreadsheet, but it came from another file using the detach sheet method. It has therefore taken with it, all the named ranges that are now superfluous.
It seems a bit long-winded to delete these named ranges one by one manually. Would there be an easy to understand script that would delete them all, so I can start with a "clean sheet".

a VBA problem I have and I do not know how to solve. I use Excel 2003.
I have a workbook with a table; all cells except the table area are locked so at users cannot add any data. The table is on D2: H?. The workbook is password protected (users can only "Select unlocked cells", "Format cells" and "Sort"), and for that reason there is a "Add Rows" macro button so they can add more rows if necessary. It works well.
There is also a "Delete Rows" button, but it does not work as I want it to do. If the table is for example on D2:H4, and I select a cell on row #3 (ex. D3, or E3, or H3) and click on the button it deletes row #3, if I click on the button again it deletes row #4, and if I click on the button again it also deletes row #5 and so on, but it should not do it because all rows below row #4 are locked and should not be deleted.
I found on the Internet a code that I modified, but I do not get it to work. Below are the two macros.
My original macro (it deletes even locked rows):

Currently I have 5 identical command buttons which do something similar but in a different cell.
What i want to do is sum up the 5 different task using a single command button.
When cmdaddsp1 is clicked the first time cell "B4" is populated with a value from a table.
When cmdaddsp1 is clicked a second time cell "B5" is to be populated with a value from a table.
When cmdaddsp1 is clicked a third time cell "B6" is to be populated from the table,
and so forth.
Is there a loop or anything that can be used for this? I only want other cells to be populated when the command button is pressed.
