Excel 2010 :: Removing Text From Mixed Font Size Cells
Aug 4, 2012I have text of size 14 and 18 mixed in cells in a column. Cells are font size 18 or mixed with both 14 and 18 size text. I need to sort out the text with one column of size 14 and another of 18 only. I am thinking of copying and pasting the column twice and run a macro in first column to remove the text of size 14, and another macro to delete text of size 18 in second column. I need the leftover text to be in same rows.
I tried everywhere and couldn't find a macro for mixed text cells. I am using Microsoft Excel 2010.

The problem is when i press ctrl+c to copy a cell content, so once i move the curser to the distenation cell then the copying mode in selected cell disappeared.
It is because when the event is trigered then the copying mode stops. The question is : how to let the copying mode works even when the event is trigered ?
Change Chart Axis Font Color With A Checkbox
Aug 22, 2014Any way to change the font color of a chart axis when a checkbox is set to true.
let checkbox be checkbox5 and chart be chart5. What I would like to happen is that if checkbox5 is true then the font color of the horizontal axis changed to grey (RGB 166,166,166), if it is false then I would like the font color of the horizontal axis to be black (RGB 0,0,0). I also would like this macro to be run every time the checkbox changes, or the corresponding cell changes to TRUE or FALSE (it is in another sheet, say sheet2). This is the code I have so far but all it is doing is showing the chart as selected and not changing the font color. I would also like it to not physically select the chart, this is for a dashboard so the selecting of the chart throws off some of the visuals a bit, but not sure how to do change the chart values without selecting it.

Macro Works Unless Change Font Size In Document?
Jul 7, 2014I have this macro that works perfectly. My boss wanted the subtotal lines within the report to be in a smaller font, so I added lines to the macro to do that. It won't work with those lines in there! It says the reference is not valid on the red line in the code below. The 2 blue sections are the ones I added to change the font size.

When I select cell A2 and press command button Then - Columns C, D, E are unhidden
-Relative cells in selected row ( in this case C2,D2,E2) change font to 12
- When command button is pressed then C,D,E are hidden and font size goes back to 1
similarly if i select A3 same should happen to C3,D3,E3
Currently all is OK but when I press command button it all happens with the entire column C,D,E

I am creating a heat map using two variables from a questionnaire: firstly the number of people impacted by a question; and secondly, the level of the impact. Respondents are asked to give these values in two adjacent cells. These are then multiplied to give a weight eg 1000 people x level 3 impact = 3000. I have used Conditional Formatting to colour the cell according to the impact level (0 = none - white (default), 1 = moderate - tan, 2 = significant - orange, 3 = high - red). What I want to do is then change the font size to give an indication of the number of people impacted, eg 1 - 1000 font 8, 1001 - 3000 font 12, 3001 - 8000 font 16, 8000 - 2000 font 24 etc. The size of font and colour will then represent the number of respondents and their impact.
I can't use Conditional Formatting as the value of 3000 could be derived from 1000 people at level 3 (red), or 3000 people at level 1 (tan). Is there another way of setting the font size depending on the cell value, eg by VBA?

Feb 1, 2013I am copying a large table of data from a report generated in Firefox and pasting it into Excel 2010. The data has several columns of html checkboxes. I need to do two things with the checkboxes and would like to do a third:
1: Count how many checkboxes are ticked in each of the columns.
2: Compare a column A of checkboxes to a column B containing numbers, and then both count and highlight any row where the checkbox is ticked but column B is a 0.
3: (optional) I would like to erase the html checkboxes and, if the box was checked, replace it with a regular x in the underlying cell.
I found some code on another forum that generates a list of values for each checkbox (vba - Obtain the value of an HTML Checkbox inserted in Excel worksheet - Stack Overflow).
Based on that, I recorded a macro to extract the html Name of a single checkbox and then set up a Vlookup for the True/False value. However, I can't figure out how to automate a vlookup for every individual checkbox and put the data in the appropriate underlying cell.

It can be done manually via one of 3 methods that I know of (aside from a macro or a routine):
-From the ribbon button (underneath the font size and increase and decrease font size toolbar buttons)
-By formatting the cell (right clicking on a cell),
-Clicking on the ribbon's font section (giving you the same 6 category format cell box as right clicking on a cell)
What I need is a routine that resets the Fill Color and Font Color toolbar buttons to "No Fill" and "Automatic" if I run it inside a macro or create a command button on a worksheet.
Excel 2010 :: Chart To Show All Of Amount Values For Each Size Value
Dec 12, 2011I am trying to create a chart that would show all of the Amount values for each Size value that is in the example data below. The Size column has fixed values. In my example the values are: .5, 1, 2, 5, 8, 13 and 21. The Amount column data is variable. Any of the static Size values can be associated with many Amount values. I was attempting to have the static Size values on the X (horizontal) axis and the Amount values on the Y (vertical) axis. I would like to have all of the Amount values for each Size value be shown directly above the corresponding size value, in one vertical line. See example below.
I an creating this type of chart in Excel 2010.
Note, I am still new to this forum and don't know how to post pictures or Excel data into my posts. I am also using dots (periods) to provide separation in my examples.

2. Paste cells into Racks worksheet in cell C5
3. Change font size to 6
4. Sort by Column T descending then by Column C ascending
5. Copy one row (A5-W5 (1Rx23C)) from Racks worksheet
6. Paste row into M1 worksheet in cell D4
7. Print M1
8. Drop down one row on the Racks worksheet
9. Repeat steps 5-8 until there's a blank row.
