using Control PanelEase of AccessEase of Access CenterMake the mouse easier to use does not work as it will change mouse instead of cursor colour in excel 2013. e.g. original cursor colour in excel 2013 is green, change to any colours.
How do I copy a colour scheme from another work book in Excel 2013? I could do it in 2010 but can not work out how to do it in 2013..

I am trying to define a font colour within a macro When I record the macro, I choose a colour from the font colour-picker in the Home section of the ribbon. The colour I choose is one of the grey shades Everything seems to work ok, and the macro saves with the colour defined as a long number, e.g.
.Bold = False
.Italic = False
.ThemeColor = xlThemeColordark2
TintAndShade = -0.499984740745262
(Note this is the colour number returned by Excel when I chose a grey font) But when I run the macro, instead of a grey font I get a sort of pale apricot
Do I need to re-index something?
Is there a list anywhere of these long numbers and the colours that they represent?
In Excel 2013, there is a transition in the cell when values change. I have a DDE feed updating data every few seconds and the folding animation is distracting. Is there a way to turn this off?

I have zero prior knowledge of visual basic, and have Excel 2013.
I have a spreadsheet with a database query attached (refreshing every 60 seconds) showing a stock summary by product.
I need the spreadsheet to play a .WAV file when values change. i.e.;
If cell A1 <6, play sound1.wav
If cell A2 <6, play sound1.wav
If cell A3 <6, play sound2.wav
If cell A4 <6, play sound2.wav
This may need to be repeated several times based on certain criteria. I have a total of about 30 cells which I need to be looked at individually (not a sum of) and to play the relevant sound.
I have seen different people try to tackle this in different ways. The ideal way would be creating alarms in VBA and triggering them using a formula, but I cannot get these to work in Excel 2010 or 2013.
Is there any way to change the settings in excel 2007, to give me the original color palate from 2003? I want to use the old colors because I don't like the new ones.

I am currently creating a sheet which has all their flights in and holds information about the departure time and arrival time of the flight and the type of aircraft ect. I am wondering if there is anyway in being able to have the cell which has the flight number in to change colour (Green or Red) if the flight is in the air or not by using the departure and arrival times already set on the sheet. I am wondering if you possibly need to have a live time on the sheet so that it can work with that .....

What would be the quickest and most efficient way of doing the following:
Example
Sheet 1: clicking once, twice, three times in the following cells to change the fill to Red, Yellow, Green respectively (in Row 22, COLUMNS E H K N Q T W Z AD AG) and mirrorring this format/fill on:
Sheet 2: , mirror the selected fill on sheet1 in E22, H22 , K22 in in E3:N3 respectively example E22 (sheet1) is mirrored now in E3 (sheet 2); H22 (sheet 1) is mirrored in F3 (sheet2) etc etc.
I have 35 tabs formatted in the same way - each tab, as with Sheet 1 is linked to a different row on sheet 2 in the same range as is sheet 1 and would need to replicate the mirorring on Sheet 1 to each of the other 34 tabs.

On one of our computers at work, Excel is acting especially strange. The conditional formatting in Excel on one of our computers is not working. In addition, we cannot fill a cell with any color or change the color of the writing. We can click a color for the letters and type it in, but immediately after another cell is highlighted, the writing goes black again. When we try to highlight multiple cells with the cursor, the cells are black instead of the normal color. This happens to not just spreadsheets that are new, but existing spreadsheets on our shared drive from only this one computer as well. No other computers are affected this way. All other computers show the spreadsheets fine and do not have any functionality issues.
I have a peice of code that i know is inefficient and it is in danger of becoming too large. I have a spreadsheet that has circles aligned to each cell. There are around 100 in total. The code changes the colour of the shape based on the cell value in which it sits. However, the code needs changing and also it does not automatically update the colour shape even though the cell value changes. I have to manually select a cell and then the formula bar and then press return for it to update.
I am using excel 2010.

I would like to do the following in Column A: If the date in Column C is greater than today, then Column A must also say "Branch Not Open". I have tried the following:

But Excel does not like the formula at all.
Is it possible to search Excel by cell colour, i.e. font colour...and then change the said colour to another one?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI work for a UK charity and have a list of funders in an Excel 2007 spreadsheet.
One of the columns refers to the date on which a new application for funding can be made to that particular funder.
In many cases new applications for funding can't be made for 1 or more years since the last application - sometimes as many as 5 years later. How to get a cell to refer to the date that it contains.
For example, say I have in cell A1 "The Acme Funding Organisation" and in cell B1 (i.e. the "Reapply when?" column) a date of 01/04/2013 (British date format, i.e. 1 April 2013) then what I want Excel to do is to look at the date in cell B1 and if that date has been reached to highlight the cell red. That way I'll know that the reapply date has been reached & that a new application can be made.

I have a spreadsheet that I am entering single digit numbers in each cell. I would like the cursor to automatically jump to the next cell to the right after the number is entered (without having to hit the right arrow key).
I would like to change the mouse cursor when the pointer passes over (without clicking) some cells which have double-click-event script attached.
I know how to change the cursor with a custom one. The pb is for me to identifie that the pointer is over the cell so as to launch the cursor change macro (and reverse when going over another cell).
Excel does that, for ex, with commented cells but can VBA do it also?
I am working with a VBA userform and several textbox's, setting SetFocus and or TabIndex doesn't leave the box ready to accept input and there is no cursor shown to indicate it is ready to accept input.

But to no avail it applies to the whole sheet and I did this for "Condominium". How do I make it as a condition when I choose any property type? and then it'll go one step down to column A when the last row is typed/filled in?
For example, if I choose Condominium as my property type, Land Size (i.e. column M) is colored so the cursor will go from column L to Column N. If I choose Land as my property type, Furnished to Floors total (i.e. columns I to L) Bedrooms to Rooms Total (i.e Columns O to Q) Indoor Features to Other Features (i.e. Columns T to W) are colored so the cursor will go from column H to M then Column N to R and then Column S and then move one step below to column A when entered. and so on.

Ideally can I create a full Mail merge with Outlook using whatever data I want. But probably just e-mail address and Christian name?
Otherwise be able to send one e-mail to all the e-mail addresses, without a major re-type.
I have developed a profit loss sheet for the office I work for. What i need is to have either cells change colour or the numbers in the cell change colour depening on the value in the cell.
What I was thinking is if the number is over 15% of the sale price the cell or number should be green, if the number is under 15% it should be black, and if its below 0% it will be red.
I am using Excel 2007. One of my worksheets has a dark border around some cells. Instead of being blue the lines are black. I used the right click and format cells option but it does not work.
