I am trying to put a 1 in a cell whenever you find a unique number and date. If you find the same number and date combination, ignore it after the first one. I have attached a file that better explains the problem.

I have two sets of data.
Set 1 (hours)
Employee number, date, hours
12345, 1-2-2014, 6
12345, 1-3-2014, 8
12345, 1-10-2014, 8
Set 2 (periods)
Employee number, start date, end date
12345, 1-1-2014, 4-1-2014
12345, 6-1-2014, 1-2-2014
What I'd like to do is to add the start and end date of Set 2 to Set 1 for every row in Set 1
In above example the result should be like this.
12345, 1-2-2014, 6, 1-1-2014, 4-1-2014
12345, 1-2-2014, 8, 1-1-2014, 4-1-2014
12345, 1-10-2014, 8, 6-1-2014, 1-2-2014
Here's the data set I am working with.
I get a dump that is in the form xxxx gbps or xxxx mbps (gigabits and megabits). I'd like to either use a formula or VBA code to convert this to mbps in another column.
In the attch file i have the date coulumn from this date column i need to calulate the month & week no. (like WEEK1,WEEK2..)
The Week ( Monday to sunday) which need to be calculated is the week no. in the given month
like for month of April the week1 is print in the week column for 6april to 12 april date and Week2 print for 13 April to 19 april

In Column A I have a date that needs to be a 2 business days before the paydate. If this date in column A winds up being a Saturday or Sunday, the function needs to return the previous Friday. If the date is any weekday then it should return that weekday
For example:
C1 = 10/18/2013(a Friday) then A1=10/16/2013
C2 = 10/14/2013(a Monday) then A2= 10/11/2013(the previous Friday since 2 days before 10/14/2013 is a Saturday)
C3 = 10/15/2013(a Tuesday) then A3= 10/11/2013(the previous Friday since 2 days before 10/15/2013 is a Sunday)
I'm writing a macro that will import data from one workbook to another, based on yesterdays date. I have the import functionality working, and I've been playing all afternoon, but I can't find a way to find yesterdays date in a range and use that row number as the row offset value in this line:
Rather than having a set row offset value (in this case, 14) I would like to use the find function to lookup yesterdays date in range "B50:B80" in the worksheet I've designated as "sh1" and return the row number of the cell that has yesterdays date and use this value as the row offset value, replacing the hard coded 14 that is in there currently. The date values in the range are formatted as per Date Format.jpg.
Im having trouble with a combo box with a range of dates as the drop down list.
The Named Range it is connected to is as below

02-01-10
03-01-10
Etc
But when i run the user form the Combobox drop down box show as below

Etc.
When i Select one the combo box does then Show the list in date format
How can i make the dropdown list show in date format also below is the code i currently have for the combobox

I have a cell using datavalidation. I would like the zoom of the spreadsheet to be 60% but this makes the validation box very tiny. I know that there is no way to format a validation bax -

Well, that and adding the code to the tab rather than with the rest of my macros - seems to break my other macros.

If i click combo box and i choose sheet3 the sheet3 will appear.

I also tried the following formula: =SUM(IF(FREQUENCY(H:H,H:H)>0,1)) but it's not quite working.
Items in Column A1 are calculated by (B2/4+5)*1.4 Items located under the columns 2000, 3000, 4000, etc... 10,000 are calculated by taking the top number, eg 2000/(A1 cell value)+the column B number. 2000/7+0 = 286 (rounded numbers)
I need to find an way to look up for x number (2000,3000,4000, etc...) find the smallest number in that column and then return the value in column A1.

For example : if one combo box has values like "c/c++ programming" "java programming" and so on.. ... i would like to display the authors recommended (corresponding to combo box1) in the combo box 2.
to update these values via a form in this sheet. I can find the correct row to be edited by entering a value from column A and B. The problem is if I want display the values of that row first and then change it. If I want to change row 10 data how can I bring back the value in ROW 3 AND THE COLUMN VALUE? The next step would be to do the actual update if I want to change ROW 10 to "Ooi" and a sales value of 200?

I have collected some data on economic factors for different countries. Unfortunately, the dates when I started to calculated my economic factors are different for each country (due to the data available to me).
What I would like Excel to have done is to take the date when I started to measure for e.g. country A (D3 ie 30/06/2007), copy it into column "I" (for country A, it's cell I3) and fill in the following months in the rows below (with always the date of the last day of a month) until it reaches 28th of Feb 2013. Then, it should go up to the next country (country B) take the starting date (D4, ie 31/07/2007), go to the last entry in "I" (ie I71) and paste the date in, fill in the months until 28th of Feb 2013, do the same for country C and so on.
I have started to code a VBA but I am unfortunately a beginner in VBA and totally stuck at the moment. My VBA code does paste in the months but for some reason, it also changes the starting date of the first month.
Moreover, I tried a workaround for the fact that Excel doesnt know when to stop; ie I introduced a "monthdiff" variable which should calculate the number of months between the starting date (which is variable and unique for each country) and the end date (which is always 28th of Feb 2013). At the moment, it only does this for country A.

I want to do this without using any macros.
I have a list of ID# (Col A) and dates (Col B). The ID # of reference is Col (F) and today's date (Col G). I need to count how many future dates there are in the list (Col B) that are unique and in the future from today's date.
I'm still fairly new to all these formulas and functions which is why I'm not attempting this in VBA.

I am trying to get the results of the number of days between today and a future date. I am using ="cell containing futuredate"-today() and it gets me the correct number of days. The problem comes in when I have yet to populate the future dates. I am getting -39991 (numeric value between today and jan 01 01) and because I am also using conditional formatting this is even more of a problem. Is there a way get excel to display nothing if it is a negative number? or to give a specified resut if the number becomes negative such as Expired or something of that nature?

I have two columns of dates, leave start and end dates (when people start leave i.e. annual leave). Would need to introduce column(s) to calculate how many days fell within the month including the end date and excludes weekends.
For example, if the staff on leave from 31st March to 6 April, i need to show that the number of leave taken as 1 day in March and 4 days in April.

However I have tried formatting the number as a date (as we would normally see it in UK eg 21/03/14 or similar) and I cannot get Excel to recognise it as a date - I just get a long row of asterisks.
