A2 to BF2 is a range of dates
A3 to BF3 are sales. Days without sales are 0.00
I want to pick a range of dates and find the number of days without sales between those dates. So, a formula that will look to a start date in A1 and an end date in B2, and then count the number of days that did not have sales between. Index/Match/Countif/Dateif I can't seem to make anything work.
I'm trying to make a by month spreadsheet that has all twelve month ranges starting in for a3. in a3 it would have the start date and in a4 it would have the end date. I'm trying to locate all of the dates between those two dates and pull in the profit ammounts from another sheet, the results would be in row 5. I would also like to pull in the loss amounts and have them in row 6. All corresponding with the date range in rows 3 and 4.

I have two sets of data.
Set 1 (hours)
Employee number, date, hours
12345, 1-2-2014, 6
12345, 1-3-2014, 8
12345, 1-10-2014, 8
Set 2 (periods)
Employee number, start date, end date
12345, 1-1-2014, 4-1-2014
12345, 6-1-2014, 1-2-2014
What I'd like to do is to add the start and end date of Set 2 to Set 1 for every row in Set 1
In above example the result should be like this.
12345, 1-2-2014, 6, 1-1-2014, 4-1-2014
12345, 1-2-2014, 8, 1-1-2014, 4-1-2014
12345, 1-10-2014, 8, 6-1-2014, 1-2-2014
way to search and display a date from a range of cells based on less than or greater than criteria. For example I have following dates in column A:
A1: 2011/01/04
A2: 2011/02/01
A3: 2011/03/01
A4: 2011/04/01
I want to search for the date which is less than 2011/02/01 from the A column and display that date in B1 cell for example. How do I do that?
I want to do this without using any macros.
I'm writing a macro that will import data from one workbook to another, based on yesterdays date. I have the import functionality working, and I've been playing all afternoon, but I can't find a way to find yesterdays date in a range and use that row number as the row offset value in this line:
Rather than having a set row offset value (in this case, 14) I would like to use the find function to lookup yesterdays date in range "B50:B80" in the worksheet I've designated as "sh1" and return the row number of the cell that has yesterdays date and use this value as the row offset value, replacing the hard coded 14 that is in there currently. The date values in the range are formatted as per Date Format.jpg.
I am trying to find number of cells in a range.
I tried:
=COUNTIF(U97:U103,AND(">"&5,"<"&8))
and assumed it will count the 6 and 7's.
It always results with 0.
I have one excel sheet. In the first column there are various Project Codes and in the first row there are various date. Cells in the matrix contains 0 or 1 value. If value is equals to 1 that means the project was on hold during this months and if the cell value is null of 0 (Zero) it means the project was active. For a project in a particular row there are several times a project went on hold and now I want a date range showing the project's hold duration. If project went on hold more than one time the result should also give different range for each time when project went on hold.

I want to find the total number of times the number 1 appears in cells B2 to B33.
In each cell I have codes such as 4919409382a, 5021193035v and so on.
I have tried =COUNTIF(B2:B33,"1") but just get 0 returned.
(1) I want to find the maximun number for the past n periods in a range of cells, but I want to be able to vary n by changing the number of periods in one cell at the top of the sheet, i.e. if i enter 10 in cell A1 the function will return the max number for 10 periods over a certein range, if I change the figure to 20, then the max number for 20 periods will be returned!
(2) I have a column (lets say column c) which will return a number of values if my criteria are met and 0 if not, I want a function in another column which will replace the 0 with the next non 0 figure in column c, the gaps between the non 0 figures can vary. I feel it involves looping in some form, and writing a new function, but I am not sure.
I have a masive table of dates (the date is created via a if formula)
what i need is so wheni enter 2 dates in 2 cells the system checks all the dates between the two specified and then returns the contents of them to a small area on the page.
Dates To Test 14/08/2026 19/08/2026
Results
14/08/2026
15/08/2026
16/08/2026
17/08/2026
18/08/2026
19/08/2026

i dont mind using script or anything like that, i dont have much knowlage of it but do have coniderable understanding of other langages and usually figure it out :D
I have an excel sheet which is currently 1,100 lines long and expected to increase and has a number of dates in columns W-AO representing the dates in which someone has had an onsite assessment. I wish to report in column AQ if there has been any visit activity in the month, i.e August for this month’s report. Is there an Excel function which will allow for this? Im thinking something like having a drop down list to select the month at the top of the column and then the sheet returns a value of 1 for all lines where a there is a date equal to the month selected?
I guess it is also worth mentioning that the sheet is setup as a table.
i have column A and B with list of dates. Column A has earlier dates when compared to column B.
i am trying to find a formula with which i can know the difference between the dates in "number of months".
Ex: Column A has 06/01/2014 and Column B has 08/30/2014. The difference between the dates in terms of month is 3 which i need in a formula.
I have attached a workbook for example, the dates im looking to find difference between is marked in yellow...Need result in column E, would be nice with a formula you can just drag down...
Tried doing this myself, but the dates have weird formatting in these documents, so not sure how to deal with it.
I need to compare three cells of random dates shown in Column E, F,& G with Row's H5:AK5, H7:AK7, H9:AK7 (the Dates to these rows is Static on row H3:AK3.) EX: ROW 5 has Start Date, End Date (1) and End Date (2). Compare Cell H3 between Start Date & End Date (1). If H3 falls between or equal to Start and End Date(1) then highlight cell H5. Proceed till AK3 (higlighting only the cells H5:AK5). Then compare cell H3 between or equal to End Date (1) and End Date (2) (higlighting only the cells H5:AK5). Then do the same for ROW 7 and ROW 9.
To make things a bit more difficult I need to have " WK#" in Row 14 (these WK# is on another tab called "Task" of the workbook) needs to be displayed in Row's H4:AK4, H6:AK6, & H8:AK8. EX: Compare Date in D15 between or equal to Start Date & End Date (1) then display Wk# in D14 in H4. Continue till all dates in
D15:Z15 are compared to Start Date & End Date (1) and WK#'s in Row D14:Z14 are inputted if applicable in Row H4:AK4, H6:AK6, H8:AK8. I hope this is not confusing. I can't seem to use the upload option so here is alink to download a jpg of the sheet

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am trying to capture the number of years/quarters are between two dates - giving credit for one day worked into the quarter.
In the attached png file you can see the formula I used for column J. This is the same formula I need to use for Column R but now using 10/1/11 and the date provided in Column R. The formula should be used in Column S "Part B" so that I can determine the number of years between 10/1/11 and the date in Column S.
I have a formula to find the number of Mondays between 2 dates.

I have a range of dates B1:B100 which I want to compare to a certain date A1 and see how many are greater than my stated date A1.
I've tried with countif(B1:B100, "=>A1") which I thought would work, but it gives the error Value!
How do I do this?
I have been using a formula to count the number of days between 2 dates and if the date was older than 12 months it would work fine.
The data that i was using has been changed and they have decided to change the format of the dates and dropped the year reference no all i have to work with is dates like 27-07 this represents 27th July i can format this date to work fine unless the date falls before 1 jan this year all i get is lots of numbers and it stuffs up the whole calculation.
The formula i am using to compare the dates is
=DATEDIF(N31,$D$1,"d")
In a sheet the first collum is defined as a date field. However the dates a represented as a number on screen. How can I change the way it's showed on screen?
In my Excel spreadsheet I enter todays date in a single cell (A2), then I list various dates that jobs come into shop in other cells (A8:A108). I have cells ( F8:F108) where I have been manually entering an asterik (*) for those jobs equal to or greater than five days old in cell (A2). Is there a formula that can do the math for me? I've tried Excel help but to no avail.

See attached sheet for the example : due dates example.xlsx
I have a start date, and an end date for a promotion. However, I am trying to create some unique keys for a VLOOKUP, so I can combine the data I have by day, with the data I have for promotional start/end dates.
So, simple question, if I have a start date and an end date, is there was way (either using excel or vba) to pull out all the dates within that range and display them on a spreadsheet?
For example, I have 21/01/2012 and 28/01/2012 as the start and end dates. I would want to display 21/01/2012, 22/01/2012, 23/01/2012 etc.
I am attaching an Excel file where I am trying to calculate lead time (even if a negative number of days) to a next activity based on projected dates based on a 'cycle start date'. I am trying to perform this with e complicated IIF statement which you can see from the attached file.
Note: this file is created from a vb.net application at runtime where this excel file is actually an xlt template. I attached it as an xls to make it easier to look at. EDIT: I have a flag in the Annual/Semi-Annual that blanks out cells that are not needed if Annual. It causes my LeadTime Col. to blow chunks and I can't seem to get past an error in the formula since adding this.
=If(F3>=NOW(),F3-NOW(),If(G3>=NOW(),G3-NOW(),If(H3>=NOW(),H3-NOW(),If(I3>=NOW(),I3-NOW(),If(J3>=NOW(),J3-NOW(),"CycleStart Null"))))). Replaced Zip file
I've got a 2007 Excel spreadsheet that will count dates within a range using the COUNTIFS function. I am having to send this spreadsheet to users that only have Excel 2003. I need to know how to convert this so it works in 2003.
Since I'm doing this for a fiscal year I have to use a date range. Here are my two formulas I'm trying to convert:
=COUNTIFS(D9:D25,">3/1/08",D9:D25,"<6/30/08")
and
=COUNTIFS(D9:D25,">7/1/08",D9:D25,"<6/30/09")
I did a search in google and found this formula that's supposed to work:
(Please see the following)
To count dates within a range (inclusive):
B1 = start date = 1/1/2006
C1 = end date = 7/1/2006
=COUNTIF(A1:A10,">="&B1)-COUNTIF(A1:A10,">"&C1)
Then it should be:
=COUNTIF(A1:A10,">="&1/1/2006)-COUNTIF(A1:A10,">"&7/1/2006)
But this only counts the number of cells that has the date, but not based on the range, why it doesn't work?
I am putting together a simple table to display current week's data vs previous weeks. The current week's data is drawn from a status chart which changes frequently. The constant change is fine for 'Current' as I only want the current data displayed.
The problem I am having is calculating the number of late jobs that existed during the previous week.
The status log has a due date which is compared to the current date to determine 'on time' status for the current week.
Due dates are reissued regularly so I can't use
=COUNTIF(RANGE,WEEKNUM(NOW()-1)) to return data about last week from my status chart.
I have available a 'Movement Log' (in the workbook but a separate worksheet) which tracks the changes in the due date field, but I'm not sure how to integrate that data to calculate the # of jobs that were running late from the last week.
My thought is that I need to perform a count of the # of late based on a comparison of 'due date' to 'date of the last day of last week' with a way to insert the "old due date" from the movement log to replace what is shown in the status log if necessary.
