Formula To Show File Name In Cell

I am trying to get my cell to match the name of the file. I am aware of the following formula: =MID(CELL("filename"),SEARCH("[",CELL("filename"))+1,SEARCH("]",CELL("filename"))-SEARCH("[",CELL("filename"))-5)
This does return what I want, but members of my team often have several sheets open within one Excel window. The formula returns the most recently opened file within the window rather than the name of that particular file. This then distorts my results sheet as it ends up with the name of the most recent file opened rather than the person's name (which is what the file is called)

I have a spreadsheet which imports data from worksheets week 1, 2 etc to a monthly summary.
Is there any way I can show a cell as blank if the return equals 0?
I'm sure the resolution is probably simple but then so am I.

On my spreadsheet i have 4 columns which are in currency format. The 5th column (total) adds the 4 up which currently looks like this - =SUM(BG44:BG45) this shows £0.00 in the 5th column.
What i need is a formula in the 5th column (total) so that when it adds up the 4 previous columns if the sum = £0.00 then the total column should show a blank cell.

I have copy 65'000 formula text cells from a software and paste it to excel. But, the formula in cell is not activated. In order to activate the cell formula, I have to click on each individu cell and press enter to active it. But i got
65'000 rows of the similar cells. So, what is the quick way to all the text formula at the same time.

The following are on a sheet:
A1 = 5700
B1 = 235
C1 = 17:14
D1 = 5922
$E$1 = 09:01
$F$1= 3
$E$1 and $F$1 are (the only) absolutes/constants.
A2 contains the following:
=IF(A1>D1,B1,IF(A1+B1<D1,"d",IF(AND(C1<$E$1,B1<$F$1),"",B1))))
This translates as:
=IF(5700>5922,235,IF(5700+235<5922,"d",IF(AND(7:14<09:01,235<3),"",235))))
The result is a variable/number (235), "d" or a blank cell ("").
This formula is in a column and works fine where there are numbers in corresponding cells. The problem arises with corresponding cells which appear blank (show no values) but contain references to other cells: they result in a "d" when nothing should be displayed.
So while a corresponding blank cell is correct if it shows no values, it gives me this problem - I don't want "d" or anything.

I'm trying to get a formula to show me the value of one cell based on the value of another to automate some internal processes. Cell J3 returns today's date, then J4 says what week number that is. J5 concatenates the two to make the look up. Column A is named range "PN", and columns C onwards are named ranges to match the column heading.
What I'm wanting is for the result in test cell 2 (J8), is to return the stock requirements for the current week, based on the result of cell J5. I can do this by using nested IF statements, but that would be 8 cells to calculate, then another one to find the cell that has a value. If there a way to get Excel to recognize the value in J5 as a range name, so it just needs the one formula?

Attached is a excel file that has a working formula for tracking cashier variances. I edited out names etc.
I added a new cell called Track Back on the employee search sheet.
What I want to do is only show variances for the amount of days back selected in the Track Back cell.
For example if I select the last 30 days, only the last 30 days would show up below in the sheet.
I am not sure if this is even possible based on the forumla that is already on the sheet. I couldn't figure out a way of doing it. But there are a lot of people on here much better with excel than me

I'm trying to put together an accounting spreadsheet that is able to pull information from other files.
So I have a staff member, let's say "Rick", and I have created a file with all his details in it aptly named "Rick".
I also have a file called "Year Accounts" which pulls information from other files to basically give me a simple yearly overview.
I want to be able to pull my staff details into this one (tax file number, wages etc...)
To do this I want to be able to put his name "Rick" into A1 And A2 to go to that file and get the information from cell A5 in the "Personal Details" page Then in A3 to go to the "Wages" page and get cell B3
The following formula almost works, but where/how do I add the page reference as it only goes to the first page? =INDIRECT("'"&A1&"'!A5")

I have the following (working) formula that pulls the largest value from an array in a closed workbook on a network share:
=LARGE('\pdfpcoclu2k302pd10fap2k01dist10AdminFISCAL SHAREDM806 ReportsFY 2008-2009Clarion countyJanuary 09[385-4009.xls]M-805'!$F$11:$G$41,1)
I want to be able to use a cell value within the open workbook to change the name of the referenced workbook (i.e. the 385-4009 portion of the formula) in the fromula
I have atempted to use the following:

but excel returns an error and highlights the following portion of the formula:

Trying to reference cells in a closed workbook for the first time, and am having problems. The formula in my cell is: ='H:Trial BalanceTESTING[12-07-2007.csv]12-07-2007'!$P2
At first it wouldn't work, and I always had a #REF! in that cell, but when I opened the csv file the correct value showed in the cell that has the formula. Is it not possible to have it work without me having to open the csv file as well?

I have the following formula =HYPERLINK(("G:ProjectTest Project"),"Link". Now this works fine, However I have a cell "A5" containing "Test Project" And I would rather the link refernced the cell contents So the code would look something like this; =HYPERLINK(("G:Project"+A5+"),"Link"). or something to that effect, this obviously doesnt work hence why I am here.

I have a problem that may be a little bit diff. from must of the Readonly post that I have found here. Most people would like to have all of there files opened as readonly files, but I don't in this case. I am copying a number of files that has VBA code in just about all of them. I am using a CD writer to copy the files to a CD using Windows Explorer and that is working just great, No problem copying the files.
My problems comes in when I copy the files from the CD to another computer, all of the files are Readonly files on the new PC. I have not saved them as readonly and don't want them to be readonly files. Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening what I need to check or change to get the files to another computer without being a readonly file.

I need to reference a cell to another cell in a different workbook (not opened), however the name of this workbook contains a variable in its name. Something like:
='C:[Week" & variable &".xls]R23'!$D$3
where variable is the number of the week. I have tried using a cell name instead of a variable: ='C:[Week=($B$3).xls]R23'!$D$3
and I get a dialog box to update values by selecting a file.

I have an excel file with about 200 images! This increases the filesize too much. So, I want to (if possible) have all the 200 images in different files, but still show all the pictures directly in Excel like before, without having the directly imported into excel. So, easy explained: I want to show a picture directly in excel that is in another file without having the picture increasing the filesize as before! How can i do this??

I have one excel file and i want to see the VBA code without open excel file. because when i open that excel file automatic delete userform and save then open that file. i have a second copy of that file in that file there is a one other option to see and learn from it. 1.my computer security is High but when i open the file one userform is come and ask me about enable or desable the macro when i check the box that file is open and run properly.
and after that never ask for Enable or desable the macro, every time that file is open in high security without ask..security. for your information many vba code in that file. i have only one question how see the code without open that file ?

(I got from this link http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx/flashvb.htm) As you can see I have adapted it to work in Excel 2007. Now - when i first run it - the flash file loads and shows in the userform. The only nag being that the .swf file doesnt pass the text into the textbox on the userform. But once i exit the Excel workbook and reload it - the .swf file doesnt show up at all no matter what i do.

The master has rows corresponding to numbered files:
4300 | CellValue1 | CellValue2 | etc
4301 | CellValue1 | CellValue2 | etc
In attempting a simple formula (a couple VBA codes I tried did not work and were probably substantially more than I needed anyway), I made the following:
='CMain FolderSub Folder[concatenate(cell w/file number,".xls")]Sheet1'!A1
This is identical to the copy/paste link formula currently in use except that I am trying to have the actual file number/name generated off the master list instead of what is in the file itself.
Purpose: in case I was not clear on this above, I am trying to automatically populate the master worksheet with the data from the workbook. The current procedure is to copy a line of the data from the workbook, then paste as a link in to the master worksheet on the row corresponding to the file number.

On sheet4 is a list of dates and I named that range as UPDATES2013. Each cell in that range is a hyperlink. Sheet1 cell I3 is a data validation list with the named range UPDATES2013 as the list. When a selection from Cell I3 is made I can get it to follow they hyperlink with the code I have. The problem I am having is if there is no file found, then I would like my Userform1 to show. I have tried several different things with the code, but every time I think Im going to get it to work....it doesn't. It either wont show the Userform at all, or it shows it even if the file is found. I am currently putting the code to run the macro on the worksheet module using the worksheet_change event.
One last thing...I also have hyperlinks throughout Sheet1 that will lead to the same files as in the named range UPDATES2013 from sheet4. I need the same thing to happen if they click one of these hyperlinks instead of using the data validation list in Cell I3. Is there a way to make one code that will show Useform1 if a hyperlink is selected and the file cannot be located (whether it be by the individual cells on sheet1...or the data validation list in Cell I3)?Here is the code I am using right now.

I have an excel 2003 template containing a userform that is displayed using the workbook_open event.
The userform causes excel to crash with file/path error 75. i have tried many suggestions given on ozgrid and several other forums with no joy.
When the userform crashes, the debugger stops on DataFormNew.show.
I have added stop commands in the initialise procedure to see what is going on and it appears that my userform has disappeared!
to upload the excel template and any other information required to get this sorted.
its size is 765 KB which exceeds the size limit to attach to the post.
here is the workbook_open macro:

I have a range named "start" and I have a form named "fMenu". I have used this same code in other spreadsheets to have the userform automatically become visible when the spreadsheet is opened and it works in other workbooks. Apparently I have been struck with the stupid stick this morning. I have a hotkey of "M" and when I use control M the form shows up and the macros invoked by each button on the form are working properly.
