Formula To Show A Date Range Based On The Amount Shown In Another Cell
Attached is a excel file that has a working formula for tracking cashier variances. I edited out names etc.
I added a new cell called Track Back on the employee search sheet.
What I want to do is only show variances for the amount of days back selected in the Track Back cell.
For example if I select the last 30 days, only the last 30 days would show up below in the sheet.
I am not sure if this is even possible based on the forumla that is already on the sheet. I couldn't figure out a way of doing it. But there are a lot of people on here much better with excel than me

Formula Not Adding Correctly, Calculate The Results Based Off Of What Is Shown In The Cell
Basically a cell might have a number with 3 decimal places For Example 90.554, and i will format the cell two 2 decimal places. But when i use those cells which are formated to 2 decimal places in a formula it produces results based of all the decimal places in that cell. Is there a way for the formula to only calculate the results based off of what is shown in the cell? . This is messing up our accounting area by alot of dollars since we sell many items. I included an example of what i mean in this excel file which should clear up any confusion.

Formula To Show The Value Of One Cell Based On The Value Of Another To Automate Some Internal Processes
I'm trying to get a formula to show me the value of one cell based on the value of another to automate some internal processes. Cell J3 returns today's date, then J4 says what week number that is. J5 concatenates the two to make the look up. Column A is named range "PN", and columns C onwards are named ranges to match the column heading. What I'm wanting is for the result in test cell 2 (J8), is to return the stock requirements for the current week, based on the result of cell J5. I can do this by using nested IF statements, but that would be 8 cells to calculate, then another one to find the cell that has a value. If there a way to get Excel to recognize the value in J5 as a range name, so it just needs the one formula?

Counting Amount Incorrect Within A Date Range
I would like some help from someone on this subject if possible. I am running a stats report in a workbook where each member of staff have their own running totals of how much work they do and how much of that work is incorrect (per week). I have worked out that if I use the following:- =SUMPRODUCT(('Barry Brooks'!$A$1:$A$2000>=$B$95)*('Barry Brooks'!$A$1:$A$2000<=$C$95)) I get the total amount of work. To explain the above, it returns the amount of times a date appears between two dates i.e B95 is week commencing date and C95 is weekending; therefore giving the total amount of work in that period. What I am struggling with is that I need a formula to look at the above date range and then look at another column that has either a ‘Y’ or ‘N’ (for yes or no) and for the formula to count how many N’s there are (thus how many in that given range there were) It appears to me quite a small ask for Excel but I can’t seem to get it to work.

Lookup With Multiple Criteria: Return The Amount Paid And Full Cost Based On The Person's Name And The Date
I would like a lookup that takes multiple criteria and that is not an array formula! Unfortunately I decided to use array formulae and my spreadsheet went to over 45mb!! Not good. I've searched the forum for an answer to my questions but couldn't find any! I've attached a spreadsheet as an example. The examples I am using have {Sum(IF)} formulae in it (array) and I would like to change those to others that will not increase the file size so much and will not take too long to calculate. Basically, I would like a lookup that will return me the Amount Paid and Full Cost based on the person's name and the date. the data and the results table are both on separate sheets. It would be nice to bring that file's size back down to less than 4mb!!

For example, if I have a date range of 10/15/2009 to 01/13/2009, I need the formula to determine the number of days in each month within the range (October has 15 days in the date range; November has 30, December has 31, and January has 13.) Cell Format: Only Numbers (no Date) With Any Amount Of Decimals
I need a cell to restrict the input: -Only numbers are allowed. -No date posible. -Any amount of decimals (they must all be shown in the cell). I tried using the data validation and using the IsNumber() to restrict any non numeral input. The problem with this approach is that if the user enters a date; it apprears as a date format (eg: "5.May"). I'm using an european excel, where the decimal separator is a comma instead of a point; so if a user accidentaly types "5.5" instead of "5,5"; the cell will show "5.May". I also tried the cell format/number/number format. The problem in here is that I dont know how many decimal positions will the input number have; and I need them all to be shown.

Formula To Put An Amount Into A Cell Next To Only Unique Item
Col A contains SS#'s and Col B contains names. Quite often there are duplicates and sometimes triplicates because they may be sending payments for multiple providers. We charge one fee per client (unique SS#), regardless of the number of times they may be on the spreadsheet. I can get a grand total by summing the unique items by using this formula: =SUM(IF(LEN(A2:A4970),1/COUNTIF(A2:A4970,A2:A4970))) and then doing a CTRL-SHIFT-ENTER to put brackets around it so it will "take." However I now need to show the fee by each unique name. Right now I am inserting Col C, typing in 3.00 into C2 and copying on down, but then have to manually remove the amounts in the rows which contain duplicate ss#. Long painful process. How can I put a formula in Col c so that it will only show fee one time by the first unique ss#?

Formula: Absence Detail Shown
I am trying to re-jig a formula that shows hours worked for a particular day, to showing any absence detail shown for a particular employee. I have the fllowing formula which doesn't work and I'm not sure why. A similiar formula works for me getting basic hours worked etc =SUMPRODUCT(--(DailyDate=F67)*(StaffNumber=$C$11),(AbsenceDetail)) My range names are correct and all have the same 'length'. Reference Cell & Add Amount If Positive & Subtract Amount If Negative
Im trying to set up an active running inventory sheet where: (A)the progressive daily sheet cells reference back to the corresponding master sheet cells fluctuating the master values, (B) the same progressive daily sheet cells reference back to a cummulative totals-cell based on whether I added or subtracted inventory. I want to make a copy of the blank "sheet 2" with all of the formulas and move it to the end of the workbook each day and enter new values which will reference back to the master sheet so that I can click on a date sheet and see an individual day's values or click on the master sheet to see the fluctuating inventory on-hand and the cummulative +/- totals of all days combined. I've got a couple hundred individual cells to reference. I've tried and tried but I can't make it work. Heres what I need to do: I need to reference individual cells from "sheet 2,3,etc" back to a corresponding cell in a master sheet. But I need the values in each cell in "sheet 2,3,ETC" to increase or decrease the corresponding cell values in the master sheet. For example: If the value in the master sheet B5 is 200. Then in sheet 2, I enter +50 in B5, I need the master sheet cell B5 to increase by 50 to 250. I also need a way to decrease the cell value in the master sheet B5 if I enter a negative value -50 in sheet 2 B5. I also want to know if I can reference the same cell values entered in "sheet 2,3,etc cell B5" back to totals columns C5 for adding inventory or D5 for subtracting inventory in the master sheet where the master totals columns would reflect cummulative totals added or subtracted. For example: if the value in sheet 2 B5 is +50, then the value in Master sheet C5 would add 50 to a progressive total. But if the value in sheet 2 B5 is -50 then the value in master sheet D5 would add -50 to a progressive total.

Compare Dates To Date Range & Return Date Based On Outcome
I need to compare three cells of random dates shown in Column E, F,& G with Row's H5:AK5, H7:AK7, H9:AK7 (the Dates to these rows is Static on row H3:AK3.) EX: ROW 5 has Start Date, End Date (1) and End Date (2). Compare Cell H3 between Start Date & End Date (1). If H3 falls between or equal to Start and End Date(1) then highlight cell H5. Proceed till AK3 (higlighting only the cells H5:AK5). Then compare cell H3 between or equal to End Date (1) and End Date (2) (higlighting only the cells H5:AK5). Then do the same for ROW 7 and ROW 9. To make things a bit more difficult I need to have " WK#" in Row 14 (these WK# is on another tab called "Task" of the workbook) needs to be displayed in Row's H4:AK4, H6:AK6, & H8:AK8. EX: Compare Date in D15 between or equal to Start Date & End Date (1) then display Wk# in D14 in H4. Continue till all dates in D15:Z15 are compared to Start Date & End Date (1) and WK#'s in Row D14:Z14 are inputted if applicable in Row H4:AK4, H6:AK6, H8:AK8. I hope this is not confusing. Fill Table Based On Another Within Date Range & Cut Off Date
I have an 'existing results table' as per my attached sample. I have had help previously from this forum to create lists of 'sold' stock within date ranges (tax year periods) and these are represented as 'sold list' in my attached sample. I now need to create a list of 'unsold stock' for each annual tax year end date; i.e. populate my table with items that have been created before the end of the date range and that have not been sold by the end of the date range. Show Date/time Of When Cell/column Was Last Edited?
I have columns in my spreadsheet that will be getting updated periodically with a number. 1 week it might be 24, the next it might be 26.... and they would go in January's price, February's price.... The problem is, if a price is entered into the column, we don't know when it was entered other than the fact that it was entered in that month. Is there a way to show the date and time of when a number gets entered or edited in a cell? This date/time could perhaps show up in a column right next to it.

Hide Or Show An Image Based On A Cell Value
I have a spreadsheet with two bitmap images inserted into it. In cell E2, I will enter a number, either a 1 or a 2. if I enter a 1, I want only the first image to be visible. If I enter a 2, I only want the second image to be visible. Is there a way to accomplish this (hopefully without the need for macros)? Show Numbers Based On Percentage In Cell
I have a rather large report full of data, 10+ columns contain a RANKING column, and these ranks, 1-10, are assigned by a % bracket: 1-20% = 1 21-40% = 2 41-60% = 3 61-80% = 4 81-100% = 5 101-120% = 6 121-140% = 7 141-160% = 8 161-180% = 9 181-200% = 10 There are several hundred rows in each column that all need individual ranks. My first thought is to program a if then else statement for 1 to 10 with a % limit range, but this isnt feasable as i would have to program a separate if statement for each of the many hundred rows, or do one heck of a fancy loop that i just cant contemplate (as the rows are split and sepperated... no solid uniform place for the data to be plugged.) What is the best way to go about this? I'm at a total loss of ideas with my knowledge of excel.

Automatically Hide / Show Rows Based On Cell Value
