How I can get a picture to pop up when a certain answer is selected in a certain cell, or when a certain answer is keyed in to a cell. Another portion to this question is that we know how to get a message to pop up in a dialog box when a certain piece of information is typed in to a box, but we don't know how to get graphics into those dialog boxes.

My question is why cant I use VLOOKUP instead of IF in the named formula. When I use it it comes with an error.
I have a number of pictures on sheet 1 that display names from cells in sheet 2
E.g.
Cell B1 in Sheet 2 has the value "Bob Jones"
Cell B2 in Sheet 2 has the value "Ian Jones"
In sheet 1 Picture1 has the formula =Sheet2!$B$1 so that the picture displays "Bob Jones"
Picture2 has the formula =Sheet2!$B$2 so that the picture displays "Ian Jones"
I have about 30 pictures displaying names in this way, but I want the name of the chosen picture to also appear in cell A1.
E.g. On sheet 1 user clicks on Picture 1 (Bob Jones), the name "Bob Jones" appeas in Cell A1
User clicks on Picture 2 (Ian Jones), the name "Ian Jones" appeas in Cell A1
I have a group box with 5 little round option buttons in, what i wanna do is connect the options to an image and when an option is selected the image that corresponds to it shows, then when a different option is picked another image relating to that option shows.

I want to paste/show a photo in a particular cell (D2) on a worksheet (called PP). I wish to delete any photo that may already be there in D2.
The picture's name (e.g. J-145.jpg) will be found in another sheet (called MP) in cell H1.
My pictures are stored in a folder (lets call it c:pictures) and the one I want has the same name (J-145.jpg).
I've tried many macros but none work.
i have saved some pictures in my excel sheet.

So I am creating a board game in excel. I currently have a draw card feature to draw random cards. I also have section above where you can fill in the answer to the question and another 2 sections that flip to correct or incorrect. I have another for if Sheet1!i2="no" then it flips to that is incorrect. I want an OR formula that will be like if multiple cells have any text in them it will display them but only one cell at a time. So essentially a way for multiple questions to be able to be drawn and you can answer those questions and be told if they are correct or not.

Here is the qtn if two cells A1 and A2 has "ab 1" and "ab 2" the answers for comparing cells should be true as both cells has first 2 letters as alphabets then space followed by numeric..format of cells is same.

Example cell A3= A1*A2 ... it will naturally show 0.00 but even if both A1 and A2 are completely blank. Is it possible for A3 to show nothing if A1 or A2 or both contain nothing. I still want it to show 0.00 but only if that’s what is in the other cells.

I have a document with NAMES in column A and ROLES in column I. If the user has more than one role..their name will be listed in "A" for each role in "I". Basically it is a if statement saying that if the selected cell falls between 1/01/06 and 31/01/06 then Jan would be selected. The end part is not a problem; I’m just not sure how to write the one line of code that would test if the cell falls between the two dates. I attemped to create it as shown in the code attached below but wasn't successful. I used an else if statement to test the other 11 months.

And I guess double clicking it again would make it return to its original (smaller) size. I would be pasting several pictures into several different picture/diagram boxes and would need this to be a relative reference so that upon selection it explodes the appropriate picture?

Filenames are alpha numeric codes with a .jpg extensions. I wish to be able to enter a different code into a spreadsheet cell which will be named and let the macro insert the proper photo from the files in the subdirectory.
Here is the code which was recorded and which brings up the photo for file "HGGA134.jpg ".

I am putting together a price list in excel and using images and hyperlinks to jazz it up a bit - what I am finding is that if I insert a 25KB GIF image, the excel file grows in size by over 100KB
why is this disproportionate growth happening and is there a way around it - I dont want my Price List growing too large but need the images....?
i need to have a way to link a small picture/thumbnail to a cell. so that there is a way to preveiw it. Ideally like what happens with the comments where you hover over the cell and the comment would pop up. or failing that may be a cell linking to the image.

I have two images that have a name on each sheet for reference. One is a thumbs up image, one is a thumbs down. They are both named tu_image and td_image respectively. I want to show the thumbs up image if a particular cell has a value of 10 and show the thumbs down image if that cell's value is < 10.
This check and display needs to be done about 20 times on different sheets and with different values. (i.e. Thumbs down should only show when the value is < 20, instead of 10.) Ideally this should take place when the workbook updates with new data. Is this possible?

I have found a few solutions here in the message boards but I don't see one that totally matches what I need. Basically I want it to look up the clients logos. We only have a few clients but when sending the report to a client we don't want them to be able to see or find who our other clients are or their logos. So I need it to display a picture based on a value but to also have the pictures on a seperate sheet that I can delete before distributing.
A variation of this would work but this stores all the pics on the report sheet and just hides the non active ones.
