If the input changes in D5, K11 will reset to $0.00..
Example. If cell K11 is set to $300.00, and the corresponding input in D5 is '123', when I change the contents of D5 it sets K11 back to '0.00'.

With that said, I want to put the row number of a user in (I have a few thousand on this spreadsheet, and all the = data be automatically pulled based on the row number I put in cell B1. So I'm hoping to write in cell B1 the following - "143" (without the quotes), and the remaining cells in column B automatically pull that data based on that, so it would look like the following

How do I write the functions to keep the columns the same, but change the row number based on the number I input?

Entries are made into columns A2 to A5 but only ever one entry across all cells
If an entry is made into A2 to A5 the I need a "P" to be placed into A1
I am trying to create a macro which gives me an input box. I need to enter 2 numbers into the input box. It would be as follows:
Input Box Msg 1 - "What is your labor cost?" (NUM1)
Input Box Msg 2 - "What is your productivity rate?" (NUM2)
Then I need the macro to take this info and enter it into a formula which changes according to the row which you are on. (I need the macro to work based on which ever cell I currently have selected). The formula would be this if I currently had a cell on row 10 selected:
=(NUM1*(NUM2*$H10))/$H10
So, if I currently had cell L10 selected, and I ran the macro and put 100 in for "NUM1" and 10 for "NUM2" and my sheet had 20 in cell H10, then the macro would enter the number 1,000 into cell L10. If I had L500 selected, then the macro would enter the final number into cell L500 based on what value H500 contained.
Macro Based on an input cell’s (e.g. B12) setting of “yes” or “no”, format several other cells (e.g. B20:G20, B23:F23, C26:J26) as follows: keep the existing yellow shading if input cell is “yes”, change to grey shading if input cell is “no”. I have to design an input user form (a button that opens an input box or dialog box), which asks user to "Enter number of "columns"".
User enters a number i.e. 2 or 3 etc
It then asks user for the headings of these coulmns and places first column heading in A1 and second column heading in B1, third in C1 and so on ...
I am just starting to get my feet a little damp with VBA and I am trying to make a macro that will act whenever any text is entered in any cell within a 3x3 square. Whenever any text is entered in any of those cells I would like it to enter a text ( "X" ) in a cell which is specified by a cell in the spreadsheet (this cell will output which cell the macro should write the text in in this format "A:1" or "C:3"). How can I make the program act only in reaction to the user entering thier text, and also, how can I get the macro to read A:1 and enter the text into that specific cell? Any help would be so awesome, the book I have is really difficult to navigate.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am in need of VBA code so that I can fill out an input form generated by someone elses macro input box. (I am the user, not the one developing the input box).
I am working to streamline a whole cluster of macros and this input box is currently my bottleneck. When the input box pops up, instead of me manually typing, I want to autofill the space with "104" and then click 'ok' uisng VBA.
I can not modify the actual VBA that created the input box (ie make 104 the default) because other users need the box to be blank.
find out how a developer would change the original vba code, not how a user can interact with an input box by using vba.
I want to create an input box that will allow you to input the column number it should start in... so instead of it being fixed at A, you can choose column B, C, D all the way to the end if you like.

I need some code to use text boxes to change the data in certain cells. Basically I want 3 text boxes to appear one after another. The first box should add text to cell T1, then 2nd to cell T2 and the 3rd will add text to cell T3. All these values should be added at numbers.

I have added a Conditional Format on the cells in column 'S' that if the cell data = Y then colour the cell RED. This at first glance will show that the project has been cancelled. What I would like it to do is to colour the complete row (shaded grey for example) this would then show up more easily with the amount of data that is on my sheet.
I have set up an option frame with two options. If I click on option A it shows below a frame with txtLenght and txtWidth.
If I use option button B it shows me on the same spot a different frame with txtSQM. I need that so I could either enter the length and width to get the sqm or I do already have the sqm value.
When I set up the code I would like to use an input message saying "Enter Lenght & Width" but if I use the other option it would need to say. "Enter the sqm value".
How or what code do I need to enter to be able to seperate those two from each other.
But also it is important that it does only calculate either the value in sqm or the values from length and width.
i have a macro which takes the results generated and puts them into a table and filters the data so that zeros does not show and arranges the table from largest to smallest. Now i have a problem where i need to select the power, fuel oil consumption, weight and area from one table and the other power, fuel oil consumption, weight and area from the other table and combine them together so that i can have all possible combinations of the data, but i don't want the zeros to show in the combinations. i need the combined data to show on a separate sheet. I am trying to write a macro that asks which row in the active worksheet I want to delete. It asks for confirmation, "Do you really want to delete row" and whatever the user inputted into the input box. It will also color the row yellow so it is clear which row is to be deleted. After confirmation it will delete the whole row and shift all other rows up.

I have a form that when users hit submit, the data they entered gets transfered to Access (thanks to our MVP SydneyGeek for providing me with a macro!) I want to be able to limit or control the users who sends data, by making sure they enter every information that is needed.
I have a column that has a list using Validation. How do I make certain columns required based on what they choose on the list.. if they don't fill in those columns, I don't want them to be able to click Submit, showing an error that would say "Missing Required Fields".
I am using data validation to restrict the number of Characters a user can input in a range of cells. The number of characters in this however can vary based on which selection they selected in a different cell.
To put this as an example, if the user selects "hello" in cell a1, the data validation would allow 10 letters in the cell range c1:c20. If the person selects "goodbye" in cell a1, then the validation would only allow 7 characters in cell range c1:c20. I have been using the worksheet Change function, however it updates the validation regardless of what cell is changed.
i am trying to merge cells based on the input from another sheet. these input will change from month to month and i need the sheet to cancel the merge and merge again based on the new input.

Since no work is done on weekends, I'd like the output column to skip weekends and move the input to the next available weekday. I have conditionally formatted the date to be a red fill as a visual cue but I'm not sure where to go from here.
