Formula which can calculate how many days in a month and create a column for each day. Columns for day 28, 29, 30 or 31 also need the formulas in columns 1 to 27 copied over automatically. [sheet name "LARSheet1 to 1" ]
I'm trying to build "Leave, Attendance Management" system using Excel. I am about 40% there so far.
The basic structure of the workbook is as follows:
12x main monthly "Leave Attendance Record" worksheets (i.emonths April 2012 through to March 2013). [I will refer to these sheets asLARSheet1 to LARSheet12 ]. 1 x worksheet which holds "data validation" list andvlook up info. ["FormulaListSheet"] 1 x worksheet acting as a database of staff details andpay numbers. ["StaffdBaseSheet"] 1 x summary page which shows staff reaming leaveallocation. ["SummaryLeaveSheet"]
What I'm having problems with at the moment is as follows:
A formula or a macro which works out how many days are present in a given month [starting date of month located in CELL B10].
Days 1-27 will be already set up on the sheet. Based upon the monthly value I would like a solution which can calculate how many days are in a month and create a column for days 28, 29, 30 or 31 (depending on the month).
I would like it to work like this:
When the user opens a new worksheet, they first entre the month start date in CELL B10. Hopefully this will trigger columns E13:AH22 to update with the relevant week day & date.
I also need the formulas and formatting in cells AH13:AH100 (column for day 27) to copied over automatically.
Is there a formula to calculate the working days left in the current month? I work in the financial services industry and am putting together a spreadsheet to automatically calculate sales production needs per "working day", based on my businesses schedule.
We are open M-F and Saturday, not including holidays. Now, I can look at a calendar, count the days left and put them in to the spreadsheet, but I'd prefer to have it calculate automatically.
On my spreadsheet, I have used the =TODAY() formula. In the cell below, I would like to have it calculate the actual working days remaining in the current month.
Since today is Sunday August 19th, I know that there are 11 working days left (starting Monday 08-20-2007). Is there a way to get Excel to do that?
In one column I'll have a list incrementing in 1w,2w,3w,1month and I want to be able to count the number of days that have elapsed till the latest cell. Right now I'm just winging it by saying there's always 31 days in one month using a COUNTA function, but I need it to be accurate.
I have two columns of dates, leave start and end dates (when people start leave i.e. annual leave). Would need to introduce column(s) to calculate how many days fell within the month including the end date and excludes weekends.
For example, if the staff on leave from 31st March to 6 April, i need to show that the number of leave taken as 1 day in March and 4 days in April.
I have a spreadsheet that has columns of monthly values for three years of financial data and where the values for the latest month are added to the last column. Months that have not been completed will have a zero value (e.g. Jul-09).
I wanted to determine the number of days between two dates. Specifically, if the initial date is in one month, and the second is in a different month and an output would result a number of days in each month until the final date. BUT I have a large amount of data to do this for in a list view, way to put a formula in excel and just drag down the entire list to get the required information. see below for an example.
The result I'm looking for is the separate the months and only show the relevant months between the two dates in one cell or the adjacent. Something similar to the table outlined below.
I want to calculate the end date of my German courses. This is how it works:
A course consists of 60 LU*. The course can occur i. e. three times a week: Monday, Wednesday and Friday. In each day the course lasts 2 LU, which means 6 LU each week. There is no course on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and on holidays. Therefore this type of course that begins on 18-Nov-2013 will end on 03-Feb-2014.
Another course which occurs Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, and respectively has 2 LU on Tuesday, 2 LU on Thursday and 3 LU on Saturday and starts on 03-Dec-2013 will end on 06-Feb-2014.
Therefore I want to create a worksheet where I set the start date, choose the days and respectively the LU amount on those days. The end date shall be calculated according to these criteria.
The workday function on excel cannot do this and I do not have any programming skills to work with VBA.
Need a way to get/calculate ALL of the days of the months from a date range entered into an inputbox in which a user may enter any day of a month? In other words, the user enters 9/14/2009 in the first inputbox then 10/8/2012 in the second and code would calculate the number of days as 9/1/2009 - 10/31/2012.
Here is the current code I'm using that calculates only the exact days:
I have is a start rent date and an end rent date. They want to break down how many days in each month the item was on rent so they have a column for each month. For example say an item was rented on 12/14/08 and returned on 1/12/09. It was rented for a total of 30days 18 days in December and 12 days in January. So I would need a function in each column that would return a 14 in the December Column and a 12 in the January Column. there are over 350 rows and they are doing the process manually right now and taking several days.
Also I just noticed that the date range is currently entered as a text in the format 2008-12-14 so YYYY-MM-DD. Don't know if the text will be a problem.
Just attached an expample. In it I am trying to find a function to fill in the green cells.
Column C has the actual Date Column H the beginning of the month Column I the end of the month and Column D the dollar amount
Now I would like to count the number of contracts that fall in the following categories in a given month. The minimum number is in Column N and the maximum in Column O. 1-499,999 500,000-2,499,999 2,500,000-4,999,999 5,000,000-12,499,999 12,500,000-24,999,999 25,000,000-64,999,999 65,000,000+
I can get the count for each category but am having difficulty with the count in the specific month. Does any one have any suggestions - other than a pivot table?
I am looking for a formula that will tell me how many days in each month for which a given time span is active. For example the time span 1/1/2014-2/28/14. I want to know the time span is active for 31 days in January and 28 days in February. Another example: time span of 1/15/2014-2/28/2014. I want to know that the time span would be active for 16 days in January and 28 days in February. I am looking for a formula that will capture the amount of days in each month for which the time span covers. as I only know how to write a formula with multiple if statements that require a different formula for each given month, rather than one formula that applies to all months.
In my current salary sheet "Days fill auto according to given months" from 1-31 as you can see in my attached salary sheet
the Big problem is i want my salary sheet give dates from 23-22 for example if i select "January" sheet should display date from "Jan-Feb" starting from 23rd Jan to 22 Feb only.... and if I select February than sheet should display date from 23rd Feb to 22 March.... and so on
and if there any blank cell left in the dates area it will highlight it with RED auto as u can see in attached sheet.
I currently am trying to refine some spreadsheets at work (hospital setting). The type of files im working with are medication sheets where on the left it states the medication and to the right of it, the cells have the days of the month(1-31) but I need them to change depending on the day they come into our facility. Above the numbers i would also like it to say the day of week with the first initial (M, T, W, T, F, S, S) in the cells are the top. It is something that we have to make for each day it it gets really annoying and is a waste of time moving the dates over for every day. find a way where I can open the file and the numbers and letters are all in the right place without having to change it for the day that the patients are coming in.
