I'm trying to enter text (the Assessment Number) into a website text box. the site is Solano County - Online Tax Information the relevant section of website code is

This is creating Run Time error code 438 I've also seen Run time error code 91 while trying other methods
I have also tried getElementById() without sucess
Does this have something to do with tables or java?
Should I be using $("#id") I don't know how to use this though.

I have text that when you push enter it goes to the next line and when you push tab it goes 5 spaces to the right the problem is...
When i have a lot of data it goes out of range and not all of the text is shown. I want to limit what is written to the size of the text box no matter the size or type the font is you can only type where you can see inside the textbox.

I have a very long spreadsheet with about 3000 rows. lets say for simplicity that column A contains a list of product ID numbers. I am looking for some macro code where I can just type in the product ID into a textbox, then hit enter (or a 'go' button) and then the cursor will move to the cell containing the part number.
I know Ctrl+F will do the job for me, but because of the frequency that I do these searches, a text input box would be easier still.
The nearest solution I could find was the one here Find text but its a bit 'overkill' for my needs.

How can I enter a number of space in the text file and yhis number is existing in other cell.
Example:
=CONCATENATE(G4," ",I4," ",J4," ",K4," ",L4," ")
the number of spaces is given in other cells.
First space is F1 = 4
Second space is F2 = 8
and so on

I am trying to manipulate a stock list using a Userform to simplify the UI.
Problem:
The idea is to allow the user to enter data via the Userform which works fine until we need to do calculations. The spreadsheet contains calculations which use the cost and margin data input via the Userform. The formula results are then supposed to display via the Userform. The problem is that the spreadsheet calculation is overwritten when the save/update button on the Userform is clicked. I understand why this is happening, but I am unable to fix it.

I have worksheet with a column of client codes. These are made up of:
(a) a "base code", being a minimum four to five digit, i.e.
0000
0001
0002, etc
(b) plus a decimal point and a "sub code" (i.e.
.00
.01
.02
.03 through to .99)
The worksheet also contains the client name (i.e.
1031.00 John Smith
1031.01 Mary Smith
1032.00 Jack Brown
1033.00 My Company etc
As the supplier codes list has been manually done, there are numerous "gaps" in base code numbers as well as the subcodes.
I am looking to have a userform that a user can:
find the next unused base code and apply the 00 subcode (with client name).

I am trying to store some information in a cell from a UserForm. The two sets of information I have are:
InvoiceNumber(number with no decimals)
InvoiceAmount(currency with two decimal points)
The problem I get is when I use the following command to store the information, it stores the information as text rather then a number.
Worksheets(CustomerName).Range("C" & Position + 1).Value = InvoiceNumber
Worksheets(CustomerName).Range("E" & Position + 1).Value = InvoiceAmount
I tried using the NumberFormat option as below, but it doesnt fix the problem.
Worksheets(CustomerName).Range("E" & Position + 1).NumberFormat = "$#,##0.00"
Worksheets(CustomerName).Range("C" & Position + 1).NumberFormat = "0"

I am designing a skill assessment questionnaire and want to use radiobuttons to keep it user friendly. I have about 100 line items with 6 radiobuttons and 1 checkbox. I want to assign a linked cell to each button and group the radiobuttons of each row (plus set a default value.) As the number of buttons is large I am looking for a way to do this efficiently without manually changing the GroupName in the properties window. Currently, I create the buttons automatically but cannot change the desired attributes (groupname and linkedCell) unless I explicitly address the respective button by its name directly.

This it not practical though due to the large number of buttons in the spreadsheet.
Currently I try to address the buttons with other variables but this does not work. my current code is the following (for only 5 rows and 2 buttons per row):

On the attached example i have a user form (click Add New Hedge button) and on this form is a textbox for 'Avg. Price'. The value of entered from this box will go into the next available row in column on 'Unsettled Hedges' worksheet.
My problem is sometimes i would to enter the price as a fraction, e.g. 1/2 and other i would like to enter the price as a decimal, e.g. 1.5. At the moment if i enter the price as a decimal figure this will convert it to a fraction in column D of the 'unsettled hedges' worksheet.
What do i need to change in my code to make it enter the price in either format?

In my userform, I have a textbox where I enter a number.
When I hit the return key in the textbox, I want the userform to act like I hit a commandbutton_Click. (The commandbutton_Click takes the contents of the textbox and locates a line with that number in it in a specific worksheet, and then displays the line of info in other textboxes in the userform).
I have not been able to figure this out.

I have a userform with a textbox in it. Once you type what you want in the textbox, you click on one of two buttons - either Accept or Cancel. It would be much neater if the userform would close when the user hits the carriage return in the textbox. Anyone know how this can be achieved? I have a userform that has two comboboxes to search data on a sheet and a textbox to input data to a specific cell on the same sheet. The cell that the textbox writes to is determined by the combination of choices selected in the comboboxes. The comboboxes are searching as required but I don't know how to determine which cell to write my data from the textbox to. I'll attempt to clarify...combobox1(drivename) searches the data in column C, combobox2(unconformlist) searches the data in column H. The combination of these determines a specific row and I need to write data from the textbox(initials) into this row in column M.

I have a problem with text to columns with data downloaded from our website. The address field is coming through with the whole address in a single cell with multiple rows. I have tried the following but all I get is the first row in the first colimn and the rest of the data:
Text to Columns, Delimited, Other and ALT-0010
Text to Columns, Delimited, Other and ALT-010
Text to Columns, Delimited, Other and ctrl-j
I have even created a macro to replace the hard returns with commas and then use comma as a delimiter but that still does the same.
I have attached a file with two of the records (1 tab for the original data and one with the commas)
Finally, I have tried this in both 2003 & 2010 and get the same issue in both.

I have an Excel sheet with about 1,000 rows. Each row has an origin and destination column. Now I need a code that opens a specific website and goes to a specific tab and then search for the origin and destination fields queries. The code then takes each row and place them in the search query. The result from each row can result a valid connection between an origin and a destination OR no connection exists. So simply if connection is successful, the code simply returns "yes" otherwise "no".
I can open the website from Excel, but what I need to click on specific tab where I do my searches. One of the problems I am facing is that when I try to click on the tab I need I get the message that I must use Internet Explorer or Chrome or Mozilla. Although Excel uses Internet Explorer to open the website. I am not sure why this error.
Attached you will find the following:
1 - Few data rows that we need to run the loop on.
2 - A snapshot of the website that we need to input the data from the rows (FOLLOW LINK)
3 A snapshot to show you the tab ("Ocean Schedule") that we need to access after we open the main website in vba. (FOLLOW LINK)

I want to enter a value in a textbox, search for it in an worksheet, and populate other textboxes with adjacent values if the value is found. Anyway, the problem is that if the value is not found, I get a debug error.

If that is not an option, I'd like to be able to click on each item row (think hyperlink) and be able to see the results for that individual item.

Here is my code, it does a vlookup and if the persons name is not found it will split the text entered into forename and surname but when i try and add

It actually displays &ForeName & in the text box of the next from rather than what ForeName is..
eg. John Smith -> search button -> user not found msg -> user wants to add user -> string is split into forename and surname -> forename = John , surname = Smith -> display this in the second form.
What code should i be using to do this, i thought that &ForeName & would work.

I having a bit of trouble entering numbers in Excel, every time I try to enter a number it seems to divide it by 100. For example : - 1 entered in to a cell becomes 0.01, 100 becomes 1....etc. I've tried formatting the cells and had no luck, tried Tool>Options but not sure where to look.

When the Go button in text box in the 'VSVA-1 Data' tab is pressed, a new tab is created. I would like the tab to be renamed after the text that is entered into the text box. Is this possible? Here is what I have so far.

The macro recorder doesn't let me record a macro that finds text box #9, go to the end of the existing text in the text box and then add my text.
When I record the macro and go to the box, it doesn't appear in the code (as well as not working).
