How to solve table with filter which needs to be copy to other tab.
Example: One tab has table with filter. Issue is with another tab which needs to be copy but issue is that another tab will further investigate with additional columns. Can be solved this issue as first tab will filter and change all rows order and another tab should read content with added columns.
now i have filtered data in a table, i want to use the results by printing off a table showing just these and the appropriate rows from other tables on worksheets. these all have a specific ID which is how they are traceable to each other. like a related field in an access database. two tables/worksheets are like so:
table1:
Reg No | Rank | Name | Initials | Troop | etc
table 2:
Reg No | JCLM1 | JCLM2 | SCLM1 | SCLM2 | etc
If i were to filter the second table by JCLM1 = YES then i want to create a printable list of all those but also to include the related records from table 1. is this possible?
I have a pivot table that I need to copy only certain regions from the Report Filter on a frequent basis. For example, in the Report Filter, I have 18 total regions, but I only need to submit a pivot table for only 6 regions on a weekly basis. Currently, I'm filtering the 6 regions individually from the "data dump" and making 6 pivot tables as separate workbooks...and then emailing them out. I need to make the underlying detail available for each location that is getting their "report". I have the code for emailing a single worksheet from a workbook so, at least, I have that little tidbit taken care of.

I am trying to solve a set of simultaneous equations by using SolverOk function in VBA.
I dont want to use the 'SetCell' option so, I wrote the following
SolverOk MaxMinVal:=1, ByChange:= Range("V34:V36")
SolverAdd CellRef:=Range("AK4:AK6"), Relation:=2, FormulaText:="0"
SolverSolve
but I get an internal memory error. However, if I use the solver dialog box directly from excel and not through a macro and keep the 'Set Target Cell' as empty, I get the right solution.
Is it possible in excel to find the equation for a curve?
I have 6 known x,y data points on a curve. I need to find the equation for the curve.
Can excel solve an equation for x with two variables.
Example: 102=125000(X-910)/50000.
I need excel to solve for X
The variables are 102 and 125000
I need the formulas to solve for the ARC length AB.
(How) can Excel solve this?
I will have to solve many variations of the 1 inch length and/or vary other measures.

Arc radius 1.5
Slope angle 31 degrees

Solving the Segment length AB would be a bonus.
Given a list of numbers and a list of 'allowable' operators, come up with a specific total. ("The numbers game" on countdown on BBC2.... ooooh Carol Voderman)
For example, given the numbers 1, 3, 4 and 5 with valid operators +, -, /, * come up with a solution equal to 15. All numbers must be used once only. Use operators as often as required. The specific example above was given to me and I personally think its not solvable (might be a practical joke). But I am wondering is it possible to prove this through assertions or develop an algorithm to solve such puzzles. I can get 14 and 16, but not 15....
I am attempting to create a formula that is including numeric values in multiple cells but I want to exclude cells that have an "N/A" value. I am calculating the blended average price using the volume and price from multiple cells but some cells don't have volume or price but an "N/A" instead. The blended average price should be $68 but how do I calculate that including all the cells...even the cells including the "N/A"

I'm trying to have a command button clear all filters on a pivot table (PivotTable1) and apply a new filter equal to a cell value (C4). If the cell value can't be found I want the filter to equal "No Meeting". I have a list of names and a count column, So it counts how many times the names have appeared from my raw data. Simple.
Using excel 2003 what i would like to do is filter the pivot table so it only shows people with a >1 count.
Now in excel 2007 this is really easy and i can just apply a >1 filter. I can't work out what to do in excel 2003.

I've created a PivotTable using VBA that contains hundreds of PivotItems, which would look bad when a PivotChart is made.
I'd like to set the PivotTable to make visible only the first X items (let's say 10). How would I do this in VBA?The macro recorder gives me the name of the PivotItem, but this varies so I'd like to use an index:

I've got an excel worksheet that contains a list of buildings and their associated control valves for water supply (subset of table attached).
I'd like the user to be able to search by building name to display its associated valves and control information. I realize I could use the list function on the worksheet, but would prefer to set it up as front page to the workbook where data is displayed in a nicer format.
I guess my question is if there any way I can set up another worksheet with a drop down box that allows the user to select a building or type in the building name and have its corresponding data display?
I want my report title is more dynamic which is based on the pivot table's <Status Date> filter. It mean if I select the <Status Date> filter option as 6-23-2014. Then the report title will automatic update as "Statistic Report 6-23-2014" instead of I have to change the date each time I run the report.

I need to filter a pivot table based on a field property. Sort of strange, but the database I get the PivotTable data from returns the Week in the accounting month. as the field name. It has several properties which I have figured out how to expose including the period end date. Now I need to figure out how to filter the PT based on that.

I also want to filter the pivot table to only show data as applicable to certain product names. This is easily done with Label Filter.
However, I cannot get both of these filters to stick at the same time. When I add one, the other is removed.
