IF Formulas With Minimum Amount

I have a row that is a percent of sales with this:
=(F4*0.2+G4*0.1)*I4
"I4 will either be 1.0 or 0.5"
Now I want to have it so if this equation equals less than 100 with I4 being 1.0 to equal 100 OR if I4 is .5 then it should be 50. I have looked all around and I am no excel wizard so this is troubling me significantly.
I want to find out the minimum $ amount in a row with multiple columns but some columns will also have numbers that cannot be converted to string.
What formula could I use to only find the lowest $ amount?
I am revising a spreadsheet to automate some cells and size cable for my job. I am currently using the VLOOKUP command to search a table for the proper ampacity and return a cable size based on the minimum circuit amps. The problem however is the VLOOKUP command searches for a number equal to or less than my circuit amps and returns this cable size. I need it to return a size equal to or greater than the minimum circuit amps. How do I get it to lookup something equal to or greater than the minimum amount?

I have a cell that will be used to indicate whether or not to limited the amount, but I am not able to come up with a viable formula. Here is my SUM Formula info:
My current calculation
=SUM(S16:S18,S21,E22:R22)
The cell that will drive the restricted amount
I7(H or S). If S is used in this cell the amount should be limited to 80. If H is used then the calculation should be exact.
I have a spreadsheet with two columns - column A contains dates and column B has the corresponding data (always numbers). The data is not uniform (i.e there may be lots of entries in any given day and none over the next few). The data is always sorted in chronological order.
I want to set up a summary table to show the min, mean, median, max for each week. I have set up an array to calculate the mean, but I am having trouble working out a good way of gettting the others short of having a set of columns that manually define each cell...for instance =min(b3:b27) or =min(b28:b30).
How can one change the cell values of a worksheet by creating a setup page in another worksheet. Example: the worksheet value is =average(E7, F7, G7, AQ7)*0.6 -- which this formula makes 60% of the average. On the setup page or worksheet I want o change value of *0.6 to say *0.5 for all the cell that has this value. In other words form the setup all the values will change on the related worksheet from the setup page.

Example:
Breakpoint:
cum sales are > 500 pay at 3%
cum sales are >1,000 pay at 2%
month/ sales/ cumul sales/ amount due
jan/ 100.00/ 100.00/ 0
feb/ 600.00/ 700.00/ 6.00
mar/ 600.00/ 1,300.00/ 18.00
and so on...until the end of year.
I tried using an if formula by could not get it to work.
Im trying to set up an active running inventory sheet where: (A)the progressive daily sheet cells reference back to the corresponding master sheet cells fluctuating the master values, (B) the same progressive daily sheet cells reference back to a cummulative totals-cell based on whether I added or subtracted inventory. I want to make a copy of the blank "sheet 2" with all of the formulas and move it to the end of the workbook each day and enter new values which will reference back to the master sheet so that I can click on a date sheet and see an individual day's values or click on the master sheet to see the fluctuating inventory on-hand and the cummulative +/- totals of all days combined. I've got a couple hundred individual cells to reference. I've tried and tried but I can't make it work. Heres what I need to do:
I need to reference individual cells from "sheet 2,3,etc" back to a corresponding cell in a master sheet. But I need the values in each cell in "sheet 2,3,ETC" to increase or decrease the corresponding cell values in the master sheet. For example: If the value in the master sheet B5 is 200. Then in sheet 2, I enter +50 in B5, I need the master sheet cell B5 to increase by 50 to 250. I also need a way to decrease the cell value in the master sheet B5 if I enter a negative value -50 in sheet 2 B5. I also want to know if I can reference the same cell values entered in "sheet 2,3,etc cell B5" back to totals columns C5 for adding inventory or D5 for subtracting inventory in the master sheet where the master totals columns would reflect cummulative totals added or subtracted. For example: if the value in sheet 2 B5 is +50, then the value in Master sheet C5 would add 50 to a progressive total. But if the value in sheet 2 B5 is -50 then the value in master sheet D5 would add -50 to a progressive total.
I want in A1 to find minimum SUM if no minimum number in row.
Here is example attached: ...
For the below macro.
ABCDG
CodeTotalBaseNetA1 = 20%
A110083.3316.67A2 = 10%
A2350318.1831.82A3 = 7%
A3220205.6114.39A0 = 20%
A015015030
A1 is the code, take the total(B) and calculate the base(C) on the percentage given in the G, net = B-C. for A2 and A3 it is the same process.
For A0 the total (B) is equal to Base(C) and calculate the net on the given percentage in G.
I have had a lot of luck finding what I need from the search areas, and I even found some information on the formula I am trying to build. The problem is I don't understand it and I need some help. First let me set it up for you. (I do not know the formula)
If cell L125 is has a value >0.00, I need to locate the smallest value the range of cells C125:F125, I then need to subtract L125 from that number, otherwise enter nothing.
This really has me baffled. I tried and I tried but it will not find the smallest value then subtract L125.
I am trying to subtract an amount from a cell until it reaches 0, then move and subtract from the next amount, and so on.

In a financial environment we have a calculator which uses iteration to allow for a cost being added to loan amount where the cost is based on the total loan amount. Iteration is set to 100 iterations with max change .001
On one PC the first time the calculator is opened it gives a particular (incorrect) result. If the input cells are cleared and the data re-entered, it gives the correct result. This only happens on one particular PC. Is there some other setting , other than the iteration setting, that would cause this?
I need some code to do the following.
Look at worksheet 1. Find column "Amount". Insert column next to amount.
For all highlighted cells in column "amount" insert text "R" in adjacent (inserted) column.
I am using a lot of linked reports that have to be rewritten each month. For example smaller formulas look like this:
=('S:PUBLICProductionJob CardsMOLDING201311 November[440A SIDE SPOILER JOB CARD.xls]Production Parts'!B$228*2)+'S:PUBLICProductionJob CardsMOLDING201311 November[440A SIDE SPOILER JOB CARD.xls]Production Parts'!B$262+'S:PUBLICProductionJob CardsMOLDING201311 November[440A SIDE SPOILER JOB CARD.xls]Production Parts'!B$292
What I want to do is extract the file path from the above formula and make it a composite of several cell references.
So what I need is to have a cell where they can change the month and another where we can change the year. So I set up several named cells that look like this:
_MONTH =11 November
_YEAR =2013
_JOBCARD ='S:PUBLICProductionJob CardsMOLDING
_PATH =_JOBCARD & _YEAR &"" &_MONTH
I tried several versions, I am hoping for something like this:
=('_PATH &"[440A SIDE SPOILER JOB CARD.xls]"Production Parts'!B$228*2)+'_PATH &"[440A SIDE SPOILER JOB CARD.xls]"Production Parts'!B$262+'_PATH &"[440A SIDE SPOILER JOB CARD.xls]"Production Parts'!B$292
I've found a few macros that will automate changing cell references from absolute to relative and they work great. However, when I run the macros on formulas that have references to another worksheet or workbook, the macro will not work correctly.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to automate creating certain keyword combinations I need, based off of the values I input into reference cells in columns A - E; the goal is to compile a list of keywords which I will then use to track my rankings in search engines.
I'm looking to only output 500 keywords, so some of the cells in columns A, B, C & E will not contain data (column D will always have a primary Geo-target listed). This results in some of the concatenate formulas I've created outputting partial data (i.e. if there is no data in cell A10, and cell D2 contains the word "Knoxville", then cell I10 will output the data, "Knoxville "). How can I setup conditioning formatting or a formula so that these auto-generated cells appear blank if one of the reference cells has no data within it?The reason why I need the above to work is because I want to setup a formula that automatically counts the # of keyword combinations created by the data entered into any of the reference cells. With the partial combinations being listed, it skews my data. Which leads me to my next question: what is the best formula for counting the # of cells containing a full keyword combination from any of the cells listed in columns G - O (minus the data in the header cells; i.e. G1, H1, etc...)?Lastly, is there a formula I could use that would then aggregate all of the full keyword combinations within the "Complete Keyword List" column (column P)?
I am running Excel 2007 on Windows Vista Business 32 bit. Recently I have noticed that if I enter a formula into an empty, unsused cell, it is recognized as a formula. If I modify that formula, it is then recognized as text and does not work as a formula. The only way I can get the cell to recognize a formula is to delete the cell and start over. This same scenario does not occur on previously stored workbooks. I have checked all of the flags that I know about, including the Options function.

I have a spreadhseet with various functions on it and what I am trying to do is this.
Cell E4 returns a >35 or <35 true or false value
Cell G4 is either blank or has "Yes" text type into it.
What I am trying to do is get cell F4 to return certain arguments.
E4 = >35 and G4 is blank I want it to state "Email Hiring Manager"
E4 = ,35 and G4 is blank I want it to state "Wait"
I have a basic IF formula that returns this
=IF(E4>35,"Email Hiring Manager","Wait")
Then if cell G4 is populated with a Yes the formula needs to overwirte the origonal if with the return arguments of
=IF(G4="Yes","Email Agency","Email Hiring Manager")
If yes then what would be Email Hiring Manager (yes will only be input if E4 is greater than 35) will be overwritten with "Email Agency"
Can this be done with two If formulas or does there need to be 3 or more to count if other IF formulas are actually returning a value?
If you have a cell with the value ="2*c2+3" NB: (Notice the ""), then to make excel convert the formula in another cell to =2*c2+3 (notice the removal of ""), so that it can calculate the value of the cell instead of showing a textstring?
I have formulas in a column and they are working unless I edit them to include another function, more cells, whatever, then they display as formulas instead of the result. I've gone to Tools --> Options --> View and the Formulas box is not checked. As well automatic calculation is on not manual.

If Average GMV (Cell A1) is less than 75% of Average BP (Cell B1), use Average GMV, however the Average GMV or Average BP can't be less than $600 million. Multiply the result by .01*1/3. Below are two equations I've created, however each of them only solves one part of the problem.
=IF(A1<0.75*B1,A1*0.01*1/3,B1*0.01*1/3)
=IF(B1<600000000,(600000000)*0.01*1/3,B1*0.01*1/3)
Essentially Average BP would be used, unless Average BP was something like $900,000,000 and Average GMV was around $650,000,000. At this point Average GMV is 72% of Average BP and above the $600,000,000 minimum.
I have a table populated with equations. I need to write a function to find

I am looking to create a formula to determine the minimum value within the top 80% of a range, but relative to certain values in other columns.
e.g.
Column A Country
Column B New Customer
Column C Revenue
I need to determine what the minimum value is for the top 80% of revenue in column C, but only including Country=UK in column A and New Customer=Yes in column B. This will tell me that the top 80% generate at least £x in revenue
