I have a excel spread sheet, which consists of huge numerical data. I have Huge data in Column “C1 to C350” and each cell Contains numbers like “ 456 584” and “5899 528”. So, I need a macro to give enter instead of space between the numbers.(i.e. 456(here enter should give)854).

How can I enter a number of space in the text file and yhis number is existing in other cell.

Example:

=CONCATENATE(G4," ",I4," ",J4," ",K4," ",L4," ")

the number of spaces is given in other cells.

First space is F1 = 4
Second space is F2 = 8
and so on

I would like to remove spaces and utilize the alt+enter command - - I am more worried about removing the spaces than anything else at the moment.

Note: The spacing between these are not common throughout my entire column.

Modify Macro To Give Myfilename Ddmmyy_hhmmss

Is it possible to modify this macro below to concatenate what is in cell B4 (myfilename), with B5 ( =now() )and retain the correct time date format that I have specified (I formatted the cell so that there were no / or : in the file name i.e.ddmmyy_hhmmss)?

When I try this the file name always reverts to the microsoft date "serial number:
I would like myfilename 09122008_1851

but instead get myfilename 39792

(or would it be better to include the date and time in the macro rather than in the cell?)

Spaces In Sheet Name Stops Macro

I've had a macro running for ages, and just found it bugs out when there are spaces in a sheet name.

The user selects a destination cell as part of a form, which passes the variable to the following steps:

Code:
looperx = 0
Do
looperx = looperx + 1
Loop Until Mid(celldestinationstring, looperx, 1) = "!"
Sheets(Left(celldestinationstring, looperx - 1)).Select

The purpose of which is to isolate the sheet name from the cell reference, which is typically like: 'Bob Sheet'!$B$9

This works fine where there are no spaces, but 'dies' with a runtime error when there are. With the apostrophes I assumed it would work around spaces in the string but I can't get it to work.

Change Macro To Include Strings With Spaces

I have created (via recording) a very simple macro in Microsoft Word to convert a fraction of the form a/b to the form where a is directly over b with a horizontal line between them (like how you would actually write it in math class). Before I send it to my co-workers, I want to beef it up a little.

Right now, it will only work if a and b are integers or if a and b are words or phrases with no spaces (i.e. change/time will convert correctly but the phrase change in x/change in y will not). Also, it would be great if it could work with parenthesis (i.e. (2x-1)/(2x+1)).

Just so you know, I am very comfortable working with code in order to come up with a beefier macro. However, Word uses Visual Basic and I'm afraid I don't know much about the syntax of that code. So, if any of you know of a site I could view to learn a little Visual Basic or if you know a site that already has good code already written for this purpose, I would be much obliged.

Excel 2010 :: Quick Remove Spaces Macro?

I'm working on a sheet with about 10,000 rows and 8 columns worth of data. Most of them are formatted as 12345,12345,12345,23456 how they are supposed to be, but some of them will have spaces inbetween each sequence, or some even a couple spaces, or spaces at the end. For the most part I can use the replacement function with ", " to "," but some of the double spaces throw it off, and end spaces also. Is there a macro that can just search through the selected cells I pick to just remove all spaces so the data falls back onto the commas?

I really know nothing about vba so here goes. I would like to enter data in a row with 4 cells of info. then hit enter and return to the first cell and move the row down. all four cells must have data entered. and all four must move down. i tried some code as below i found and i modified but it did not work as expected. this moved the row down when returning the cursor to A2. It also should not copy the data style of the top row.

I have a macro that

- copies rows from one sheet into another sheet based on a set of criteria
- the very very very first time the macro is run, the first row of data should be put into row 7 (formatting reasons)
- however, every other time it's run it should paste into the next clear row.

But, what is happening is that, each time its run, it puts the data into row 7 => overwriting data.

I've used the offset and counter function but perhaps I need to put it in the header of the code to get it working?

I need to enter the Emp Nbr in B1.
AM in Time in B3
AM out Time in B4
PM in Time in B7

I then write down the hours worked and

When I enter an new number, I want it to put 0 in B3,B4,B7 and B8

Is there a way a person can enter the active cell and have the cursor go to the upper left part of the cell and enter the current date and remain in that cell for additional data? More often than not there will already be data in the cell but sometimes it will be blank.
