Make Lists In Combobox (userform) Depend On Each Other

I have constructed a user form with a set of comboboxes containing a number of choices. However, the different alternatives depend on each other, and instead of having all the choices available in the second combobox I would like to only have the "correct" ones depending on the choice made in the earlier combobox.

For example;
---------------
A-B-C
Car-Blue-USA
Car-Red-USA
Truck-Green-Sweden
Truck-Blue-Sweden

If I choose Car in the first combobox, I would like to only have the choices [Blue, Red] available in the second combobox, not the full set of data [Blue,Red,Green] and so on. However, I have two problems construction this;

1) If I make the rowsource A1-A4 for the first combobox, I get the alternative [Car,Car,Truck,Truck], not [Car,Truck]. It is possible to come around this problem by making a unique list in addition to the linked list showed above, such as;........

Link Lists To Depend On Choice From Another

I am trying to create dependent list based off of what was selected from the first dependent list.

Example ~> I select something from B3 that then drives what C3 says, but now how do I get D3 to be dependent on what was selected in C3?

Lists, How To Make Drop-down Lists Optional

Is there a way to make a drop-down list optional? When I create drop-down lists the user has to make a choice from that list.

Example: a list of doctors. I need the user to be able to select from that list if the patient saw one of those physicians, but if the patient saw another doctor not on the list, I need the user to be able to enter the name of that other doctor. Currently the user has to select from the list or not enter a doctor. I am using Excel 2003.

Make Userform Show Data From Spreadsheet And Add Delete Or Make New Entry

I have a spreadsheet on sheet 1 with a list of customers and their information. So on column A I have the customer number (i.e. k968, e37, p528,...), on column B i have the customer's name, on column C the street's name, on Column D the house number, on column E the zip code and finally the city on column F.

Right now there are around 600 customers in this list.

I have made a userform with a combobox in which I want to select an existing customer (pulled from the spreadsheet). On the same userform I have textboxes (customer number, name, street, number, zip, city). When I select a customer in the combobox, I want this customer's info to show up in the textboxes. I want to be able to change the info and hit Next to store the changes in the spreadsheet. When I do not select a customer from the combobox, I want to add new info in the textboxes and hit Next to store this info as a new customer. The userform also has a delete button. Then I select a customer in the combobox, this customer (and it's info) should be deleted from the spreadsheet when i hit Delete. So the spreadsheet is variable in length.

how to make few dropdown lists depending on one before.

Example: I have table with next data: COLUMN A: (A1) Expense Type ( in all columns under A1 are types of expenses );

(A2) total trip cost;
(A3) Prize promo tour cost;
(A4 ) court renting cost;
(A5) Prize IPP cost

In columns B1, C1, D1, E1 are cities. Under each city is value for type of expense. I have uploaded worksheet for example.

Now, problem is next: I am trying to make drop down lists ( in new work sheet ) by using depending data from data table.

1.I made drop down list in first cell (let's say it is an A1 cell ) where I can chose city ( for example City of Zagreb ).

2.Then in next cell (B2) I would like to choose type of expense in drop down list ( for example Total trip cost ).

3.Finally, in C3 cell I would like to make drop down list that offers me just expense value for combination of chosen city ( Zagreb ) and chosen expense type ( Total trip cost ).

Drop Down Lists: How To Make Source From Different Worksheet

When creating a drop-down list using Validation, is there any way to make the source a different worksheet in the workbook? Right now when I click on Source and select my list, it will not allow me to go to another worksheet.

If I manually enter a reference to cells in another worksheet, such as 'PCP'!$A$2:$A$250 it only shows that cited reference, not the actual list.

I have a workbook that lists a number of customers and the products that they use. I am trying to create a lookup that will follow the following process;

1 - User enters (via dropdown selection) Customer Id

2 - User enters (via filtered dropdown based on the 1st selection) Product

3 - User enters (via filtered dropdown based on the 1st and 2nd selections) Pack Size

4 - Product Id autofills itself.

My problem is twofold, firstly I don't know how to perform the "filters" in stages 2 and 3, and secondly I want to remove duplications from all lists at the appropriate times.

Transpose Combobox Lists From Multiple Non-contiguous Ranges

I transposed them into a separate sheet and used that for my lists. I have to share the file with macs.

My pc is on Vista running Excel 2003. The macs are OSX Panther (not Leopard) and running Excel 2003.

Solution (?): if I make the combobox lists programmatically, it will work on the macs?

The UserForm1 with 3 comboboxes:
The comboboxes are not dependent on each other.
For each combobox, I need to have 2 columns.
For each column, I need to transpose 2 x ranges (they are NOT contiguous)

My attempts have been embarassing and futile.

I copied and pasted Column A into Column C and then removed duplicates. I named Column C 'ValList' and placed it in the RowSource for ComboBox1. What I now want is for ComboBox2 to populate based on my selection in ComboBox1. There are no duplicates in Column B. Duplicates are in Column A.

I also named Column A 'Proc_Grp' and Column B 'ADA_QSI_Desc'

For the properties in Combobox2, I left the RowSource empty. (that's correct right?) Because there's going to be a code that links Combobox2 to Combobox1... I think...

Converting Date Formats Depend On Value

I need to amend that column to display 26 Mar ( or 12 Dec or 17 Apr etc depending on value).

Try as I might, using format cells, nothing results in the required display. I'm not even sure what format the cells were in as received, since highlighting the received column and selecting "format cells" does not reveal the initial formatting. If I try pasting special to a new column and selecting values, I just get the numerical date value as a 5digit number.

I'm trying to get the syntax correct, and not getting it right.

I need to calculate the Standard Deviation of values, but calc it based on more than one dummy variable.

EG: I need to Standard Deviation using data in column A, if the value in Column B (same row) is 1, and the value in Column C (again, same row) is 0. Right now, I have to reorder the data and calc it, then copy n paste values. I'd MUCH rather have a longer function so I don't have to reorder the data over and over again, and add and delete rows, etc.

I know it's a nested IF AND function, or I think it is, I just can't seem to get the syntax correct.

I have a worksheet (attached) that lists various clients in columan C. Column E lists whether each of the clients listed in Column C are 'Existing Business' or 'New Business'. I require a user form that has three radio buttons (one to select 'New Business', another for 'Existing Business' & one for 'All').

When Selecting a radio button, (e.g. 'Existing Business'), I need all clients listed in Column C of the worksheet that also have 'Existing Business' in Column E to be listed in a ListBox on the UserForm (with the second radio button allowing the text box to list 'New Business' and the third to list both Existing and New).

Is it possible that i fill the CB.list with range().value so the values are in Column 'A' and in Column 'C' and if i enter the field and select value then i see value from column 'A' & value in Column 'C'?

Then if i pick one value then the CB.value = the value from Column 'A' only, Can i solve it some how?

Carrying on from my calculation problem which now has been solved i am needing help with comboboxes

i have a combobox21 which i have made a dropdownlist ie Types of products from Product1 to Product 16 inclusive (i have sorted this)

i also have another 28 comboboxes, which of the 16 products i pick in combobox21 i need each of the other 28 comboboxes to display the the sub products

products and sub products are stored on sheet1 in the excel file as below

A B C D
1 Product1 Product2 Product3 Product4 etc .........
2 P1A P2A P3A P4A
3 P1AA P2AA P3AA P4AA
4 ETC ETC ETC ETC

So if i pick Product1 in Combobox21 then in each of the other comboboxes i need to be able to select P1A OR P1AA ETC .....

i have a named range of products A1 to O1 Called PRODUCTS

i will have to create 16 mores ranges for the items in each product but that is no problem

Make A Choice Between € And $ In The Userform

I have 2 option buttons and 3 userforms. The passage between those userforms are made with "next/back" command buttons.

Options buttons are € and $ and they are in the first userform.

If the user make a choice between € and $ in the userform1, the following macro plays

Problem

The other 2 userforms contains texts that depends on the choice made in the first userform/option buttons (€ or $)

But it only gets the initial choice and when I go back/forward between userforms and even change the € to $ or vice versa the inital choice remains in the next userforms.

Like this I have long list

In the combobox2 same list has been applied

Is there a way in which by one command the list is applicable to both the comboboxes, that would save me on the length of VBA.

I have a userform that I wish to be a front page for a work sheet containing personal staff information. I would like it to self populate according to a selection from a combo box (Surname). So far I am using the code below however where this code encounters those with the same surname it only displays the first row it comes across. Each row does have a staff ID number that is unique but I cannot search by this on its own as it would not be user friendly.
