I need code to attach to a button!
In cell A1 I enter number of teams.
In Cell A2 I enter number of games to play.
Is there a way for me to click a button and...
In columns A and B it will give me a list of teams to play each other
based on the criteria above.
In Column A will be home team and B is Visitor.
Example I enter 9 teams with 12 games to play, hit the button and it will list the games in columns A and B.
I am having an issue with Excel not adding three numbers correctly.
C10 = .82
C11 = .18
C12 = .70
C14 = Sum(C10:C12)
I also tried C10 + C11 + C12
Excel keeps telling me the answer is 1.69!
I have a list in rows where I have a ranking formula =COUNT($G$5:$G$81)-(RANK(G5,$G$5:$G$81)+ COUNTIF($G$5:G5,G5)-1)+1 When I sort the rank, ascending. All of the unique numbers sort ascending, but the non-unique numbers sort descending

I am trying to create a sheet for a project that will identify dates a project will conclude omitting weekends and holidays. I keep getting an error with the formula I have.
In my spreadsheet:
A1 is the start date
B1 is the number of days after the start date.
The formula I am using:
=WORKDAY(A1,NETWORKDAYS(A1,A1+B1),{""4/6/2007","5/28/2007", "7/4/2007","9/3/2007","11/22/2007","12/25/2007","1/1/2008","1/21/2008","3/21/2008","5/26/2008", "7/4/2008","9/1/2008","11/27/2008","12/25/2008"}"}+0)
The error I get is with the parens (A1,A1+B1). - at least the parens are highlighted in purple.

first time posting. Need some help. I have a workbook with two sheets - (say sheet A and sheet B) that I need to copy a range from and paste (concatonated) into a new workbook. The thing is I want to copy the "non-empty" cells in columns d and e of each sheet - another words - I dont want to specify a specific cell range because users will be periodically adding new rows. Then I want to paste the "combined" from both sheets into a new sheet in a new workbook.
How can you sort item numbers, targeting only the numbers in the mock up file?

This is the order in which the data is copied and saved from worksheets in which they are developed. Note that 3 rows (8.1.2.1 through 8.1.2.3) are below 8.1.3 (because the three come from Worksheet 8.1.2 which came after worksheet 8.1). The first four rows came from a Top Level Worksheet. I would like to see them intermixed but in proper order.
I'm trying to add a sort button to a list where I choose which column to sort. Attached is an example. Can this be done without VBA? If not, is the VBA easily editable??

Have this sort activated by a command button or once the WB is saved then activate the sort prior to saving. The former is the preferred but if it's not to much trouble with coding then the former and latter solution would be great.

I have 3 columns; A:Name, B:Debit & C:Credit. There are multiple row (approx 15,000) where I have a customer name and then a debit at one date, and a credit at another date. There is a debit to match every credit.
I would like to some how sort the sheet so that I can make sure each credit matched the debit. That way I can find what debit's don't match the credits. I have a column of data that contains alphanumeric ID codes, some of which contain no alpha characters (i.e., Excel treats them as numbers). When I do a data sort, Excel puts all the purely numeric codes first, then the alphanumeric codes. I want to sort the numbers among the alpha codes.

I know there's a way to do this, but I've spent half an hour looking and can't find the answer. And no, manually editing each numeric entry with an apostrophe is not an option.
I have a 1x20 array with the numbers 1 thru 20 inside. I want a piece of vba code to randomly sort them. I will do this in a loop to create different "starting arrays" for an optimization code. I just need to be able to randomize the beginning. How is this done? I cant have duplicates.

Excel will first sort the non-hyphenated numbers then it will sort the numbers with hyphens.
I would like to be able to sort it all together starting from the lowest first number to the last highest number. I have included an example.
How can I return name of a command button on click? I want to create some sort buttons on a sheet I will use regularly to speed things up. I thought if I could call each sort button by the column letter the button sits in I can use this in a single sub for all buttons

i am trying to make an excel sheet that does calculations to help drydock a submarine....
docking math is used and it works as follows:

6 is feet
11 is inches
7 is 1/8ths
+'s are 1/16ths
so i want to be able to have a list of set measurements like above and then have one set measurement be subtracted from the list. like
12-4-6+
13-5-4
14-2-4
and have 6-2-5+ be subtracted from all of the above and be displayed on a second page. I have slammed my head against the wall for about 3 days now and i am a excel newbie. so if i messed up somewhere or anyone could help i would greatly be appreciate it.
Using vba textboxes too do math .I have attached a sheet too explain, not sure if its possible. If it is I know this is the place too find out.
