Move Pivot Table Total To Left Hand Side

Need a way to switch the default positioning of pivot table row totals? I would like to left justify them insead of always having the totals on the far right side where they are often out of view to the user without scrolling. I end up having to place 2 pivot tables side by side so that I can make the totals appear first.

I have a form where I want to change the color box on the left hand side see attached image. Now it is a static and I want it dynamic where the user chooses the color. Now it is constant using an image with the color green, red, blue, etc... I want a color picker so user can pick their own colors and when the color is picked the code will pick the color number.

Return Text From Left-hand Side Of Ragged Array Where Entry Found

I've been given a spreadsheet that is poorly constructed but I'm not allowed to alter.

The layout is:
Box Name Box Date ID1 ID2 ID3 ....
Where there is not a fixed number of IDs in each box
(There are five different sheets so I'll have some fun concatenating results)

Given a list of IDs I need to return the box name and box date that the ID's file sits in. The spreadsheet has blanks everywhere and the numbers contained in rows are non-consecutive and smaller values can appear later in a column than larger ones.

I think I need some combination of index, offset and maybe sumproduct? TBH, I avoid sumproducts like the plague, preferring to utilise sumifs and dynamic named ranges since this improves clarity so I'm basically a newb at them.

Any skeleton framework that you think would work to return the text values for the LHS where the number could be anywhere? Once I can see a rough example I should be able to get to grips with the logic and wrangle it into the necessary solution.

Side-By-Side Pivot Table Or Multiple Report Filters?

Is there a way to have separate Report Filters for each column in a pivot table?

I am trying to create a pivot table with 3 columns - 1: account code 2.current year (2011) 3. prior year (2010)

My Row Label is an account code field - each row is a different account code that sums up dollar amounts for the two financial years. The problem is that I need Columns 2 and 3 to have separate Report Filter criteria. So in Column 2 - I need the filter to weed out anything that is not 'Financial Year 2011'. In Column 3, I need the filter to weed out anything that is not 'Financial Year 2010'. Setting up a filter for one screws up the second, and vice versa.

Alternatively, how can I make two side-side-pivot tables that each have their own Report Filters?

Excel 2010 :: How To Move Comment Box To Left Side Of A Cell

I have an excel spread sheet and on the last column on the right hand side I have some comment boxes but when I hover over them they pop up to the right of the cell, and then they are off the screen.

Can I alter it to make the comment box pop up to the left side of the cell.

Is it possible to adapt this code to get me the desired results or will it have to be a separate one.

Also i'm not sure if I have the code right because if I run the macro then open a comment box in the (M) column as in the code the comment box is the default size then if I run the macro again once I have the little red tick in the corner of the it changes to what the code says.

I have created "front page" which allow user to enter their enquiry.

The formula will be as per below.

Issuing
World Bank -->if amount less then 500,000 = amount x 0.03125%; if amount from 500,000 - 2.5mil = amount x 0.015625%

Royal Bank -->amount x 0.0625% x no. of month (min charges 100)
Deutsche Bank -->0.025% per 3 months (min. S$50)

Stand By LC
World Bank -->0.02% per quarterly (3mths) - Amount X Rate X 1 (1 to 3mths) or X 2(4 to 6 mths) or X3 (7 to 9 mths) or X4 (10-12 mths)
Royal Bank -->0.25%p.a by day (Principal x Rate x Day divide by 360 day x 100)

Am I able to set a formula for example:-

1. When I click on Mode of payment - Issuing

2. On my right hand side under column "Bank Name" will list down all bank available

3. On my right hand side under column "Estimate cost" will auto calc the cost base on the bank's formula.

The Result Of A Formula To Move To The Left And Top Of The Table

This formula tells me the highest number: =LARGE((G36,O36,W36,AE36),1)

The result is AE36. The answer is correct. I get the highest number. I want the formula now shows Y3 instead of AE36.

In my situation Y3 is the name of 1 of my tables. In my case I get from this table, the highest number.

These are 6 cells to the left side. These are 33 cells to the upper part. In the future I will work with more tables. So the answer must always move

I've been busy this few days to investigate. That is why I know it works with offset. Anyway, I still do not know how it goes.

SUMIF Function But The Sun Range Is On The Left Side Of The Criteria?

I am trying to SUM the total task done per date. The problem is, (for the sake of this problem) the DATE is in Column B and the Task Total is in Column A. I know that SUMIF is not possible because the SUM RANGE should be always on the right side of the CRITERIA.

My question is, is there other formula other than SUM IF to figure this out? or I have no choice but to Interchange the data in a matter that SUMIF function will run.

I am trying to learn how I can create a single list of all the planners (from "Partner 1" and "Partner 2") headings which will then total their compensation in a Pivot Table weather their name is under the "partner 1" heading or "partner 2" heading. Return Total In Pivot Table Regardless Of Cell

I have a pivot table which I am interested in filtering in several different ways. The table contains a category for AREA on the Y axis and BLOCKS on the X axis. When unfiltered the tables displays AREA 1,2, and 3 and has a full list of parts. I can then filter the table by AREA to look at one area specifically, and when I do the BLOCKS list shrinks to only those which correspond to that specific AREA.

My problem is that I want to be able to reference on another sheet the value that corresponds to AREA 1 Total regardless of whether the table is filtered to only AREA 1 or if it is unfiltered. I cannot just reference the cell because AREA 1 Total is in a different cell when unfiltered then when filtered. Is there any way to do this?

On a pivot table, I want the grand total to be the average. When I code it, the code changes all the values in the column to an average.

if a person's % for April is 95% & the sum of all the people in the table is 1924%. If I change the grand total to average, the person's april % changes to 19% (which is an average instead of a total.

The pivot table has only two columns, the first is the identification number and the second is the count of the identification number. I am trying to get a count of the number of identification numbers, not how many times it was entered in the spreadsheet (some numbers are entered more than once on different days). It currently looks like:

Grand Total 8

I'm trying to arrive at 5 for the answer, so that each number is only counted once even if used more than once.

Pivot Table Or Sub Total Then Copy & Paste

I have a problem in creating Pivot Table in the format that I want for the purpose of report, so I'm not even sure if I should use it at all.

In the file attached, I have a sample data source in sheet 'Source'. Basically the data are already in the list format.

For the purpose of reporting, I want to make this data in the format of sheet 'Final Format Wanted'. Note that the report only takes in data from columns D, M, N, O ( Headings highlighted in red).

(1) I understand that I can do something like this with a Pivot Table, and I already did something like it in the sheet 'Pivot'.

The Pivot table works well for Total Exposure (data from column M)The thing is, I want just the Grand Total Figures for column N and O instead of putting it in the data section itself. For better explanation, please take a look at sheet 'Final Format Wanted'. I just want the grand total for these 2 columns because they are less important and I want to be able to squeeze just the relevant figures for the report. Can I do this?

(2) Another way I have thought of is actually using a combination of Vlookup and concatenate function (look at sheet 'vlookup'). The thing is, some names that I used to concatenate might appear twice (look at row 39 and 40 in sheet 'Source' under column L), so if I am to use this, I'll need to find Sub-total first then copy and paste each item again into the format I wanted.

To me, this seems to be a really long way of doing it. Pivot Table is preferable in that it can count the total automatically for me, but I can't get the format I want.

Does anyone have any suggestion what I can do? If I use
(1)Pivot table - how can I get just the Grand Total of the other 2 columns?
(2)Vlookup - Is there a faster way in getting the subtotal and ultimately get the data in the format I want?
