NetWorkDays Formula :: Giving 0 Instead Of 1 (leads To Negative Values)

I am having an issue with this formula. The formula works for 85% of my data. I worked through the formula and found that the error occurs within the networksday part of the formula. For some reason the it gives me a “0” when it should be giving me a “1”. This causes the solution to be a negative and create the error. I placed an example of when both the formula works and doesn’t work. I tried many things. Love to get some other ideas why this is happening. It’s a altered Daddylongleg formula....

Payment Function Giving Negative $ Result

I'm building a real estate payment calculator. I'm using the Payment (=PMT) function in Excel 2003. When I add the information that it asks for in its wizard, I receive the correct numerical figures but with a minus sign in front of it making the result negative, i.e. "-$630.13" instead of "$630.13."

Is this file corrupted or have I put something in incorrectly?

Formula To Make Product Of Two Negative Numbers Negative

I have a large dataset (24000 rows) that requires me to multiply two different columns of integers. In some cases, the two integers are both negative and multiplying them results in a product that is positive. I actually need that product to be negative rather than positive. I can't quite seem to figure out the best way to accomplish this.

I have employees that have different number of business days they work. I
need to be able to calculate when the employee has utilized a specific number
of business days specific to the days of the week they work and the number of
days per week work. For example, if I have an employee that works 3 business
days per week (Specifically M, W, and F), and I need to know the date this
employee worked a total of 30 business days, is there a way to calcuate this
date (which should be 6/9/06 if we use a start date of 4/3/06.

Networkdays Formula :: #NUM! Error

I have the formula Networkdays(A4,F4-1,L2:L10) and it works fine apart from if i enter the same date in cells A4 and F4 ie the work was processed on the same day the formula calculates a value of -2 when I would like it to be 0 Also if the cells are blank as the data has not been completed yet it comes up with a #NUM! error.

Networkdays Formula Excluding Holidays

I have formula for working days which excludes holidays :

Code works but I have monthly worksheet and macro for adding days in month. This formula's end date is in AI2 cell, which corresponds to 31th day of the month. Problem is that I get #REF error across all sheet when I delete last day columns, in month which have less than 31 days.

I know that this is the cell reference error because cell AI2 is deleted, but is there any solution for changing networkdays formula or replace It with something else that will work same, with range maybe ?

For now I just hide columns, which is o.k., but I would rather delete columns...

Ividing Sales Leads By Zipcode Equally

The data is a column of zipcodes, a column of timezones for each zipcode, along with a column of this past years sales leads, showing a count of the number of leads from each zipcode. I want to assign territories to 10 sales agents based on an equal division of the number of leads in each time zone; that is, based on last years leads each agent would be assigned zipcodes in each time zone so that all agents would end up with the same number of leads in each time zone.

Correct Formula Not Giving Results?

Cell A3 on my SHEET1 has the following formula =DATE(YEAR(C1),MONTH(C1) + 1,DAY(C1). It goes on like this for the next 12 months (+2, +3, +4....).

Column B on my SHEET2 has One of the five product codes (A, B, C, D, E) and Column D on my SHEET2 has manually entered dates

I created the following condition for each product code under each month in SHEET1

=IF(MONTH(Sheet2!$D$1:$D$39)=MONTH(Sheet1!$A$3),COUNTIF(SHEET2!$B$2:$B$39,"=A"),"")

The formula only works for two product codes (A and B), and then yields blank cells.

Formula Not Giving Correct Output?

I have a fomula field in row 67 and 68 .Row 67 calculates the average and row 68 calculates the improvement i.e. average(row 68)- last row inserted(row 67). The values for improvements are not showing correct value. C68 seems to give correct value but B68 and D68 is giving wrong value.

B68=4.8-4.5 =0.3 but it shows 0.4
C68=14.9-15.1=-0.2
D68=11.3-10.2=1.1 but it shows 1.0

Poor Export Formatting Leads To Complicated Macro

I'm going to attach a file I'm working with so you can see my issue direction but here is the background:

- file you see is an excel export from another software. This is as clean as it gets.

- what I am trying to accomplish is take the data for each person listed and movie it to it's own sheet via a macro. Creating the sheet name based on the name of the person. I've completed that task before with some help here, but never with data formatted like this.

- does anyone have any options they can think of? I've tried working with the two cells that make up the page number and basicly the move off that but can't seem to get that to work.

- would anyone suggest any formatting changes (while keeping all data integrity) before trying a move?

Mulitiplying In Formula Giving Incorrect Answer

I have a formula that is correct all the way up to adding the last *K9. here is an

example:

C9 a number 4 then add 1 to it which makes it 2 now * it by D9 which is the number 384 and the answer is 768 now * that by K9 which is 6 and you get 4608 I'm getting 2310 using this formula... =IF( C9=0, 0, C9+1*D9)*K9.

Ex

B1:B70 (remember the number can change it can also be B1:B80)

B1:B70 is a positive value, but then B85 is negative so begin the calculation from that point.

Sum B85,F85,G85,H85,I85,J85,K85,L85,M85,Q85,R85. And place the value in their corresponding cell after 8 consecutive blank rows appear in row B.

I am trying to figure out how to ignore a #VALUE! error in my OR formula. I am using this formula for conditional formatting and I don't want to correct the error because I am using the errored out cells as a fourth conditional format since you can only use three in excel. This is my formlua:

=OR(N4>0,O4>0,P4>0,Q4>0,R4>0,L4>0,Q4>0,K4>0)

How can I modify this formula so that the whole formula doesn't error out if one of the cells has #VALUE! in it?

I am currently working on a project and encountering this problem with VLOOKUP.

I need to show the result into negative since it is negative on the table i made.

In my this scenario, it gives me this error "#N/A" even if the value is in the table.

my actual table is upto minutes of +960 and -960 and still planning to go up until +1500/-1500

I have named the table as "TABLE" and the value is on "F3" I am using the command =VLOOKUP(F3,Table,3,TRUE) but if the cell is negative it return positive value how do i change the formula so it return the value to negative if it shoud be negative?

Using AVERAGEIF on a row containing both positive and negative values one can easily calculate the Average of only the positive or negative values. I need to filter the 20% outlier on each case, how can I do that with TRIMMEAN ?

This is an example of the current formula using Averageif for the positive values:

For now O3 can assumed to be 0.

IF Statements, Percentages And Negative Values

I've hit a wall for the first time in my excel using career, I’ve searched the net high and low, asked the guys in my IT department and am so far stumped for a solution.

The problem is thus:

I have 3 columns, A, B and C.

Column A and B contain two numbers. Column A is "telephone calls offered" Column B is "Telephone calls Answered".

Column C is a calculation of the percentage of calls NOT answered. The formula I am using for this is =(A1-B1)/A1*1

This gives me a % as an answer.

Rows 1 to 66 are different time periods through out the day.

The problem is that for some fields, we don’t receive any calls, at all. Or we receive a call in one time period, and it is answered in another.

so Lets say cell A1 is 0, and Cell B2 is 3. Or A2 is 0 and B2 is 0.

How is it possible to get excel to display 0% if, after the calculation the value is < or = to Zero?

I have tried the below "IF" function but it returns a #Value error

=IF((A1-B1)/A*1<=0,"0%",(D67-E67)/D67*1)

I now leave it to the capable hands of the anonymous internet gods of excel
