Now-time Changes In All Cells

I have a simple macro that puts the function
now()
into the currently selected cell. Next time when I select another cell and put in the same function the now-time in the first cell changes to the new time. It seems like I can only have one now-time in the book. Is there a workaround for this? I like to put i now-time into one cell, while previous now-inputs remains.

I have a large dataset where the first column is date and time i.e. "20/01/2005 03:41:06" and I want to delete certain rows based on the times. I have already tried playing about with macro's but failed fairly spectacularly so far. I have code from someone else to delete cells if the value equals a certain time but this doesn't work as the cell contains the date too.
I have already recorded one macro to reformat the data to as the software return 10 timestamped samples per hour and I want 8 i.e. every three hours so there is constant separation for statistical purposes. Both the macros are shown below so you can see what I have.
Ideally I would like to replace the line - If (r.Cells(n, 1) = TimeValue("22:41:06")) ............ - with one that reads - If (r.Cells(n, 1) CONTAINS TimeValue........ - but I don't know if that is possible? If not is there a way to separate the time from the date into 2 columns and then I can delete rows based on the time column using the code below? .......

I have a worksheet which contains START TIME in column A, then TIME USAGE in column B and END TIME in column C. User enters start time, followed by the number of time usage in minutes, how could i possibly display the end time automatically in this scenario? how do you add the entered time usage to the start time to display the end time? Say if I enter 1:00 AM at start time and 00:15 minutes on time usage, how can 1:15 AM be displayed on the end time automatically?

im trying to take 2 separate cells and combine the contents into one cell and put a dash or hyphen in between. like so
A1 = 8:00 AM
A2 = 5:00 PM
then have a formula to grab those 2 cells data and put them into one cell to look like this : A3 = 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
or
A3 = 8 - 5 <---this one would be best...if possible.
right now for the i have one cell getting the A1 data and another getting the A2 data.... with this formula : =IF('CREATE SCHEDULE'!A1="","OFF",'CREATE SCHEDULE'!A1). its set up to leave a blank if there is no timeslot.

I'm working on some data dealing with time fields, and I need to have them counted in 15 minute intervals.
For example, one of the entries listed in a column has an event starting at 02:25:00 and ending at 02:55:00 (30 minutes). Along the top row are times listed in 15-minute intervals, e.g. 13:00:00, 13:15:00, 13:30:00, etc. In the corresponding cells, if the entry took place within a particular interval, I need it to say "1", otherwise have it say "0" or "-" or something denoting no event.
An IF statement was used, but it didn't seem to work.
If that's a little hard to follow, check the example attachment for a better idea of what I'm trying to describe.
In the example spreadsheet, Row 2 (manually typed in) is what I'm looking for. Row 3 is the (failed) attempt to use the IF statement.

I have attached excel sheet. Column A consists of List of LAN numbers, Column B consists of List of Documents tagged & Column C consists of time at which particular document is tagged.
I need to calculate the time taken to tag all the documents in Lan1/Lan2/Lan3 in Column D. (I can ignore the date by doing text to columns).

how to delete rows when a combinations of 2 cells in a row will repeat.
Example:
Row 1 51456264 150
Row 2 51456264 150
Row 25 51456264 160
Row 20 72546821 10
Row 21 51456264 150
Row 15 72546821 30
Row 17 72546821 10
Row 1 and 2 have the same combination of cells now Row 2 need to be deleted.
Row 1 and 21 have the same combination of cells now Row 21 need to be deleted.
Row 20 and 17 have the same combination of cells now Row 17 need to be deleted.
The cells in de same row always are next to eachother B and C.
I need to check a file with minimum 1000 rows .

Is it possible to lock out a column of cells between certain times.
Lets say I want to lock the J column between the hours of 9 AM and 11 PM.
I only want the user to be able to enter data between 11 PM and 9 AM.
Is that possible.

1) I am trying to find a way to add together the total number of hours worked from shift start time to the end of the shift start time throughout the week.
2) Add together the total number of hours travelled. again from the start and end times throughout the week...(presumably, if I solve the first problem, it in itself will provide the second solution.!! (Grin)
Where shift start and end times are concerned, the cells are formatted as time, but I want the sheet to produce the results of the total number of hours worked, so that I may cost the hours and make payment. Ie: 62 hours worked = £ at such and such a rate, and 25hrs travel paid at £ different rate.

When I input time in the h:mm:ss format it add a am/pm to it. I tried formating it to remove it yet it wont go away. What I am trying to do is add up time in the G Column but all I get is 0:00:00.. I added the [h]:mm:ss format to that cell... Does this have to do with Execl adding am/pm to the time? If it is how do I stop it.

I've got a spreadsheet set up for a simple barcode scanning system. The user scans the barcode of the product when complete, and it logs it to a sheet along with a date & time timestamp. I'm then planning to use a v-lookup (barcode to product name) & pivot-table to count instances of 'product name' so that I can monitor what is being produced easier, nothing too tricky.
The problem I'm having comes from the products of the same spec having the same barcode, so data validation is hard to apply, as I can't 'not allow dupes' - the concern I have is that if the user unknowingly (or knowingly!) scans the same ticket twice, I think I've got 2 of a product when I've only got one. The idea I had was to lock all cells for a set time period (say 1 minute) after an entry so that it couldn't be accidentally scanned twice.

I'm looking for a formula in relation to the calculation of time.What I'm looking for is a way of finding the difference between the time two cells and it displaying it in the number of hours e.g.:

12:00 + 18:30 = 6.5 (it is 6 hours 30 mins but I want it displayed as a number.

I get a downloaded report from one of my application. Two columns have date and time data. I need to compare these two columns (subtract) and come up with a value in another column next to it to do some analysis on an ongoing basis.
So I know how to compare date and time in two cells but the problem I have is second set of date / time have other text mixed with it and there is some character that Find/Replace can not find (it looks like the "pipe" | character) and I can't replace or delete that character. Additionally when I click on that cell (B1 in attachment) I don't see this pipe character in the top formula section (fx) but I do see this character in the cell itself.
how I can either get rid of this character or extract just the date / time information from cell B1 to be able to compare cell A1 easily?

I have a column that has time ranges in it. Example: Column N Row 6 thru
253 has the following time ranges: 11am-1pm, 1pm-3pm, 12pm-5pm, 8am-12pm
I need cells with 11am-1pm to read 13:00
I need cells with 1pm-3pm to read 15:00
I need cells with 12pm-5pm to read 17:00
Is there a formula that I can use the look up the entire column and make all the changes at once, or do I have to use the find a replace. The correct format can appear in a different column.
** I found a reply for someone one a different website with the similar problem. Below is the response but it did not work for me.
Try this formula =--SUBSTITUTE(SUBSTITUTE(MID(A6,FIND("-",A6)+1,11),"pm"," pm"),"am"," am")
Also change format to show 13:30 timeframe

On worksheet open I want to clear the contents of cells A8:P50 if the date/time in cell AB1 is less than todays date and before the time 0400.
So currently AB1 shows

I have a consolidated sheet which I maintain to keep track of the scores of my team. Unfortunately from time to time, the format of all the cells is getting changed to "time" value. I do sometimes use an addin which I have downloaded from Straxx.com (excel password remover) and I am not sure if this add-in has anything to do with this.
I am having to change the format of almost 20+ columns every time this happens.

I am having trouble converting time cells into numbers.
The cell I'm looking at visually shows "135:42:00". If you look at the formula bar, it reads "1/5/1900 3:42:00PM"
How do I start a series of conversions to get an adjacent new cell that would read 135.7?

I am trying to calculate the difference in time between two cells and if the difference is >= 8 Hours the result is 8 hours - 1 Hour if the result is less than 8 hours then the result stands. I have the following, but it returns 8 always.
The two cells are formatted as hh:mm
H6 = 06:30 & G6 = 14:30

I was looking for a solution through the excel questions but could not find anything which would help me.
As you can see in column B are two different colored Sun, red and magenta as well as Mon and Tue.
I would like to find a formula or macro without creating an extra column which looks for the color magenta i.e. if the particular cells are magenta (Sun, Mon and Tue) then perform an action.
I cannot use the formula in K7.

In my Workbook, Sheet 1 i have Cells B2, C2, D2, H2 all with Name, Age, M/F and Fastest time,
on Sheet 3 i have Cells A4, B4 with Under 20 Male and Time.
What i want to know is how do i go about searching the Age and M/F cells and printing the names of the people who fit the criteria ( for under 20 male it would be males aged 16, 17, 18 and 19) into A4 and their time into B4
to make it worse i want to order the times/names in fastest to slowest time .
i can get half way there but i cant seem to get the formula to pick up on >=16 and

I have a workbook that has a calendar look to it (in row 2 I have time in 30 minutes going from 7 AM, 7.5, 8, 8.5 until 12 AM). In sheet2 I have employees name in column A and their workshift in column B (07:00AM-03:45PM). I have a spreadsheet with many rows of time totals as the following example: Cell 1 - 08:00 AM Cell 2 - 1:00 PM Cell 3 - 5:00. Cell 3 is just the total, and I have no problem with this aspect... However I have two columns of the above format side by side... and the only way I can sum Cell 3 on both columns is something like the following: =sum(c1+c2+c3+f1+f2+f3...etcetcetc. This can end up in a large formula, and I was just wondering if there was a more efficent way? I tried the following but get a #value! error. =SUM(C1:C6)+(G1:G6)

In the above, i am trying to calculate the time taken between queries. I do not want any times/queries that are from someone else on the network to be counted.
I need something to ignore the blank cells, and take data from the next cell above which has data. I3, I8 and I14 are currently the trouble spots, and should be displaying 00:00:00, 00:04:00 and 00:06:00 respectively.
Note that someone from the network could have literally thousands in a row before I perform another query, not just alternating like the screenshot.
B is the real life time the query was performed. F is how long the query took. F does not take in to account the seconds between queries, which build up, so i am using B.
