Pass Calendar Control Date To Selected TextBox On Another UserForm
May 9, 2008
I have a workbook that has multiple spreadsheets. Data is added to the spreadsheets using userforms for each spreadsheet. I have created a pop-up calendar to add dates and want to know if there is a way to add dates without having to create multiple calendars for each txt field on each userform. I would like it so that when I click on the calendar it would put the date into the text field it was launched from.
This is the code in the calendar which only puts the date into the field named Dat_Clsd.
I have a program where I can update the calibration due date of an item. I have attached a cut down version of my program showing the relevant areas. There is usually password protection on the worksheet so it can only be edited via the form (the vba coding removes the password protection before editing, then re-enables the password protection after editing). The "Update Calibration" button is usually on a "Menu" sheet.
Once the form is opened a serial number is typed in the textbox. The calendar button is then clicked, which brings up another form with the calendar on. The due date is selected on the calendar. When "OK" is clicked, the date label caption is then changed to the selected calendar date. When "Submit" is clicked, the spreadsheet will search for the Serial Number, once found, the label caption (being the date selected) will be entered into the cell to the right of the serial.
If the day selected on the calendar is greater than 12 the date is entered correctly onto the sheet. example: calendar date selected = 15/01/2010. shown on sheet as 15/01/2010. However, if the day selected on the calendar is 12 or less, the date is for some reason entered incorrectly onto the sheet. example: calendar date selected = 08/12/2010. shown on sheet as 12/08/2010???? What is going on here? how come the day and month are swapped around if the day is less than 12????
I have a userfrom with 2 textboxes used for entering dates. would like to either force the user to enter the date as xx/xx/xxxx or have a calendar feature where they can select a date. I checked my 'additional controls' in my toolbox but do not see a calendar option.
I have been trying to use a multi-select listbox as the argument for a subroutine. For some reason, I keep getting a run time error, type mismatch. I'm baffled because when I define the specific listbox, it works fine, but when I attempt to pass the listbox I get an error.
Public Sub OtherDirectTotal(Expense As ComboBox, CostCat As ComboBox, _ Cost As TextBox, Years As Msforms.listbox) Dim IDC As Double Dim IDCt As Double IDC = Val(UserForm2.txtIDC) / 100 If Years.Selected(0) = True Then If Expense = "Sponsored" Then If UserForm2.ChkODC = False Then Select Case CostCat......................
I've created a userform to populate rows in a worksheet. The userform gets details of flights with inbound and outbound dates. I'd like a calendar to popup so the user can just select a date with the click of the mouse which then resides in the textbox until sent to the sheet. I know how to get the calendar to pop up when entering directly into the sheet but I don't want the user to have to touch the sheet unless making amendments.
VBACode for Calendar to display in Userform textboxWhat code so I use in order to have a userform1 calendar linked to a worksheet cell and then have the worksheet cell data displayed in another userform2 textbox?
I have a user form that has a calendar button. Once clicked it updates a txtbox on my user form. What I would also like is for another txtbox (txtQtrLeave) to be auto populated based on this entry. Below is the code I've tried:
If CalendarEnd.Calendar1.Value > #3/31/2008# And CalendarEnd.Calendar1.Value < #1/6/2008# Then Qtr = 1 frmAddClient.txtQtrLeave.Value = Qtr
... Qtr 2, 3 etc
It seems to return a value if I have one criteria but it doesn't work once I add the And element. What am I doing wrong (this has been driving me mad all morning)?
If this control is a TextBox, I would like to read the Text property, and if it's a ComboBox, I would like to read the Value property.
Public Function readValue(c As Control) As String If (TypeName(c) = "TextBox") Then ' convert the Control to TextBox then put readValue = c.Text Else If (TypeName(c) = "ComboBox") Then 'convert the Control to ComboBox then put readValue = c.Value End If End If End Function
One of my userform text boxes is for the input of a date. this date is being exported to a defined cell in excel, but in a US format, mm/dd/yyyy. i need this to be exported into excel in UK/Aussie format dd/mm/yyyy as our accounting software is getting confused (i am also).
Private Sub TextBox3_Change() Range("C7").Value = TextBox3.Value End Sub
I have set up a calendar control on a userform and got it to pop up when selecting one of 3 cells on a worksheet. The various bits of code making this work are below.
This code is attached to the Userform.
VB: Private Sub Calendar1_Click() With ActiveCell .Value = Calendar1.Value
What I am struggling with is that I'd like to have the calendar that pops up in cell C18 (which is Date of Birth) default to starting on 1st January 1987 not todays date. Also, if there is a value in either of the 3 cells that use the calendar, then I'd like the calendar to display that date. If the cell is empty then todays date is fine for cells G3 and G26.
I have a userform which has a number of multipage controls nested inside each. So, the parent is Multipage1 with 2 pages. Page 1 of Multipage1 has a second multipage control (Multipage2 which has 4 pages). In Multipage2, page1 there is a 3rd Multipage control (Multipage3 which has 2 pages). In Multipage2, page 2 there is another multipage control (Multipage4 which has 3 pages)...and so on! I know this sounds complicated, but I am trying to get the caption of the selected multipage.
There are commandbuttons in all of the pages, which when clicked need to return the caption name of the multipage where they sit.
I have started the following code, but suspect there must be a better solution:
With Sales If .MultiPage1.Value = 0 Then Hardware_Purchases_Input.TextBox6.Value = .MultiPage1.SelectedItem.Caption & " - " & .MultiPage2.SelectedItem.Caption & " - " & .MultiPage3.SelectedItem.Caption End If End With
I am using Excel 2010. I have a user form with a date picker on it. I simply want to transfer the date chosen to cell A3 on a sheet. I have two problems. When I click the date picker, it doesn't show all the days of the month. When I do pick a date, it isn't transferred to the sheet. This is the code I am using in the user form:
VB: Private Sub DTPicker1_CallbackKeyDown(ByVal KeyCode As Integer, ByVal Shift As Integer, ByVal CallbackField As String, CallbackDate As Date) meetdate = UserForm2.DTPicker1.Value Sheets("MeetData").Range("A3").Value = meetdate End Sub
I have a userform which allows user to selected a date formt he calendar. In my code I name the value selected myDate. I want to have a line of code at the begginning of my code that checks if myDate = a date already listed in column H on a sheet named "all dor's". if it does match then a msgbox appear saying "date already entered" and the code return to the opened userform.
I have userform with date pickers and have text boxes overlaid on these, when I select todays date from the date picker it does not display the current date in the text box (I have 8 date pickers on the userform). If I select another date then reselect the current date it works. It has occasionally worked but why.
Below is the code for populating the text box from the Date Picker.
Private Sub DTPicker1_Change() TextBox1.Value = DTPicker1.Value End Sub
The initialize userform code uses the following to format and set the textbox
I am trying to create a user form that has a series of text boxes that will all have a VLOOKUP function in them based off of input from a the first text box. If I can just get the code for the first one, I think I can figure out the rest. We will say that the file that the user form is contained in is 'Agent Administration' and the file that I want the VLOOKUP to pull from is called ' Roster for Auto Population'.
creating 2 fields in my userform that the user can input 2 dates that would serve as the range to set the autofilter. So user inputs field1 = 11/01/2011 and then field2 = 01/31/2012.
I was previously using a month range in my userform, populating from the known months and allowing the user to select a range. Since our data is now spanning a new year, this is no longer possible as I cannot make the combobox range go from 11 - 1 (November to January)
VBA Userform - select months & Months between - Code Included
I want to be able to filter on an excel spreadsheet by dates between x and y. The values x and y are each in my userform textboxes, tbStart and tbEnd.
For whatever reason there seems to be a format issue. When I run the script I see that the data is filled correctly in the filtering fields but I don't see any results. I simply need to click ok when reviewing the filter and it works. This makes me think that there is something wrong with the format of my tbStart.Value and tbEnd.Value
Here are the variations I have tried:
The values on their own should always be formatted as date in the text box as I am using spin buttons to edit the date with this code or similar
I currently have a worksheet that when a user clicks on the cell, a calendar form opens. From here they can select a date, click ok, and the date gets placed in the corresponding cell they clicked on.
Now if the user needs to change that date, i want them to be able to click on the cell again, and when the calendar opens, the date in the cell would be selected on the calendar. I was able to do this in a userform, but im not sure how to edit it to work on the worksheet. I am using the below to populate the calendar.
Code: private sub worksheet_selectionchange(byval target as range) if not intersect(target,range("aa16:aa24")) is nothing then .show calendar When the user clicks the date, the below code places it in the cell.
Code: private sub ok_click() with active cell .value=calendar1.value end with unload me end sub
Now the below code was used when I was using a userform, but im not sure how to edit this to pull the date from the active cell.
Code: privatesub userform_activate() me.calendar1=date if not tb is nothing then if isdate(tb.value)then me.calendar1.value = tb.value end if end sub
I have a calendar userform that enters a date into a userform textbox in the format mm/dd/yy.
I am in the UK, so default date format is dd/mm/yyyy but i need it as above - mm/dd/yy
So, when I get a MsgBox to repeat Textbox1.Value (the date from the calendar object, formatted mm/dd/yy) and repeat it in format dddd mmmm dd yyyy, it reads the value not as I want it, mm/dd/yy, but as the usual dd/mm/yyyy - so instead of reading 08/01/12 as Wednesday August 01 2012 it is giving me Sunday January 08 2012 - even though in the cells on the worksheet that are populated from the textbox, the date reads correctly, so 08/01/2012 is indeed 1st August 2012 not January 8th 2012...
So it's the MsgBOx function reading the textbox in the userform wrong, and formatting makes no difference...
Can I fix this without changing my regional settings? Is there a way to set the region in vba then unset when leaving the program? I don't want to have to change regional, and anyway, the program will be used by others who won't know / want to do that.
I have a userform with many textboxes that I am using to collect data which is transferred to a worksheet using a command button on the userform. All data is correctly transferred to the worksheet except for the text box I am using for the date.
The date is transferred from the userform to the spreadsheet but the date is left justified implying that it is text but dates that I have manually entered into the spreadsheet cell are right justified. This may seem picky but I am using a 'count' function within the spreadsheet to determine how many rows contain the date.
I am using the following code which I am entering in the format of dd/mm/yyyy, to to transfer the date to Cell A1 the worksheet 'Results'.
Private Sub CommandButton1_Click() Worksheets("Results").Cells(1, 1) = UserForm1.Textbox1 End Sub
how to transfer the date to the cell so that it right justified, hence treated as a number within the cell.
I have userform1 with commandbutton1 and listbox1. From listbox1 you make a selection and then you click commandbutton1 and it calls up another form (userform2.) On userform2 I have a label that I need to capture the value highlighted in listbox1 form userform1. How do I write this code to have label update to the listbox selection?
