Copy Contents Of Multiple Comment Boxes And Paste In Single Comment Box
Mar 13, 2014how to copy the contents of multiple comment boxes and paste in a single comment box.
The big picture is that I have a number of cells with numerical values in and text in comment boxes. I want to be able to click a button to copy the contents of the comment boxes and paste them, along with the numerical value from the cell, into a single comment box, ordered by highest to lowest value within the comment box, then delete the original cells and comments.
I am quite new to VBA but have been coping quite well so far with information of the web and analysing recorded macros.

Sep 7, 2012I am working on a database and trying to remove duplicates. When there are duplicates, I want to take the contents of one cell and copy them as a comment on the cell above (or below).
I tried to work on a small macro to do so, but the contents of the cell cannot be copied (it comes out as a blank).
The long way is to 'double click' in the cell, Ctrl+A, cut, click the cell above, Ctrl+F2, paste. This way is very long as I have thousands of duplicates.

May 28, 2007if choose a cell then the code works fine, but when i choose a selection of cells
(ex. A1 A2A3 A4) then the code fail to excute in this line: Invalid proceduer call or argument error

May 24, 2007I am trying to do, is paste a word in front of text that is already residing in cell throughout an entire column, and then automate this process by creating a macro that will do the same thing for me throughout an entire column. To best explain this, it woudl be like if you have a column 100 rows/cells long, and every cell already contains data. I need to insert something in front of what lies within each cell.

The macro then looks UP (A3, A2, A1 etc) cell by cell until it finds the first cell that has a valid date in it and if that date is same as the date that the macro is being run pastes "This Text" into the comments section (Not replacing everything in the comments but simply adding to it.)

Insert Pic Into Comment For Every Cell That Has Text Containing String .jpg Or .png
May 10, 2009I need a nudge in the right direction with how to amend the below code so that it :
1: cycles though all cells in a workbook, and sees whether the text reference of the cell contains a picture filename (i.e. searches for .png or .jpg in the cell contents)
3: if (1) is correct, it retrieves the picture from "C:/Users/jeff/Documents/Standards/" and pastes it as a cell comment background in the cell to the right (and overwrites any comment backgrounds that might already exist there)
The code below does something a bit different: it looks in a defined range, then adds a comment with a background picture retrieved based on the text in the cell to the left.
I'm sure this is a pretty basic change, but my VBA skills aren't up to it...I've only just started reading though Walkenbach's Power Programming! I'm using Excel 2007

There's a Comment Box text on a specific cell that I need to populate on one of the textboxes but I am unable to do it.
The code I have that works well, populates the cell content:

Now, on that cell, there's a comment text that I need it populated as well on another textbox but it doesn't work. I tried:

Jun 21, 2007Need a formula to automatically comment a cell when rows with given number consecutive columns has same entry example:

row 1: there are minimum 4 '0' in consecutive columns, so H1 is sum of A1:G1 = 18 and automatically comment cell H1 "there are 4 zero" row 2: because there are no 4 '0' in consecutive columns, H2 is 26 , and no comment row 3: there are 5 '0' in consecutive columns, so H3 is 5 and automatically commented cell H3 "there are 5 zero"

3. Repeat this sequences on the other groups, which means hundreds.

"SheetWSS" = data to be copied
"SheetWSD" = destination of copied data.
Below is a sample of the data in "SheetWSS"

Now, an explanation of the data:
1) I work for a small bank (CORP) that takes deposits and gives loan.
2) CORP books these trades using only system no. 7 and 11; other system nos. belong to customers.
3) When a single trade is booked, the 2 sides of the transaction is recorded (by Trade IDs) . E.g rows 2 and 3 relates to one trade. So if CORP loans money with system no.7 to CUSTB, who uses system no.22, it shows for CORP a loan and for CUSTB, a deposit.
4) Everyday, the data in "SheetWSS" is updated with a different number of rows from previous, but the number of columns remain the same.
So, here's what i'ld like the macro to do:
1) Go into Column C, find system no.7 and 11.
2) For each 7 and 11 found, Copy the next row . So if for e.g, system no.11 was found in C4, i want the ENTIRE ROW 5 to be copied.
3) Paste the entire next row in "SheetWSD" until we have a list of all opposing sides of the same transactions initiated by CORP.

Apr 18, 2014I want some vbs code on my 'Copy All' button in Email Data sheet which will do my work. Its a bit lengthy but who knows the concept will find it easy.
I have one sheets -
Sheet attached - Worksheet .xlsm
Workshet.xlsm [Data in 'Mod' sheet i)should convert from text to column and paste in 'Row Data' sheet ii) then transfer form Row Data sheet to 'Email Data' sheet 'Mobile Data' sheet and 'Other Data' sheet when Copy All button is clicked in Email Data sheet.
There should be some logic which will fetch appropriate date from 'Mod' sheet to the respective sheet . We can have some kind of logic like
If 'Register' found then take the value of register and workstation and paste in Email Data sheet.
All data below should be fetched from Row Data sheet which is blank now and will get the data when we click the Copy All button ,
