Referencing Certain Character Places In A Cell

I'm trying to speed up some work on an excel sheet. The sheet converts degrees latitude and longitude to Northing and Easting coordinates, but right now we have to type them in directly.
For example, the degrees would be 81.0056 and I want to reference just the .0056 from the cell that contains the whole 81.0056 degrees. Is there any way to just reference character place three through seven of that cell? All I'll need it to do is copy it over, the rest of the program will convert it for me.

I have a cell which will contain SER01+SER02+SER03
and what i need it to contain is [SER01]+[SER02]+[SER03]
and shocker is i've got this to work for the first instance but not the other two

I am doing some calculations via Excel, and I have found that I get different results using a calculator. I know that by formatting the number, I can show as many or as little decimal places as I like in any cell, but can anyone tell me how many decimal places Excel actually uses when it's carrying out calculations? I have a feeling that the Excel results I'm getting might be more accurate than my calculator ones.

if I change the formatting of a cell to 2 decimal places, it appears as two decimal places (as it should) for example $88.88888 will show as $88.88
However, when I use this data in another application that displays this data it will display as 88.88888 still. I need to actually take the value and truncate it to 88.88 eg 8.8888888 will become 8.88
I have been using trunc by hand and wanted to try and find out if there is a way that I could write some sort of macro to do this for me each time.

Below I have this formula in cell A6, in the cells the formula refers to B6 thru O6 contains formula's also. There is text and numbers in the cells. The cells with numbers are formatted as number to 4 decimal places.
The problem is in cell A6 the numbers go to 15 decimal places. I don't know why but I need to keep it to 4 decimal places.
=B6& "" &C6&G6&H6&I6&J6&K6&L6&M6&N6&O6
G01G41X0.0125Y0.0125D(offset#)F0.39
This how cell A6 is after the inputs are in below.

This is how I need it to be below.

Can anyone figure this out.

How do I stop a user from entering more than 2 decimal places?
If I format the cell to "0.00" I can still type in 1234.1234 and it will display 1234.12.
If I select that cell, the value in the formula bar is still 1234.1234.

Is there a function in VBA that lets me increment or decrement the number of decimals of a particular cell? let's say i got a cell value of 7.123456 but excel only displays 7 on the cell. What if i want excel to display only 7.123? How can I specify the number of decimals i want on a particular cell (in this case 3)

I need a formula to take a number with several decimal places and round it up to two decimal places to either .33, .66 or, .00 if its above .66.
For example, 4.23423423423423 will be 4.33
4.43453453533434 will be 4.66
4.8353453453 will be 5.00
Lets say the number is in cell A1. What formula would do this?

I have a pivot table of values displaying agency's performance based on their sales percentage to target. When the race is 'loose', and all companies are 1 or more percentage point away from each other, I format the values without decimal places. If two agencies appear tied, I add a decimal place to seperate them. Occasionally the race is really tight and I have to increase the format to two decimal places to seperate them. how to do this automatically?

I have got a list of numeric abbreviations, for instance 10739011/21/31/41. What it should really display are the numbers 10739011, 10739021, 10739031 and 10739041 (the first six figures stay the same). All the numbers in my list are 8 figures long. I want to change the list from the list seperated by the backward slash to the complete numbers. I have uploaded an example of the list with backward slash between the numbers. Is there a way that Excel can automatically change these numbers to the full numbers?
Because all the numbers are 8 figures long, I thought the first 6 figures of the 1st number can be copied and those 6 figures pasted before the other two figures after the backslash. Auto Merged Post Until 24 Hrs Passes;sorry, pressed OK too quickly. The problem is that there are sometimes 4 numbers in the cell, sometimes 6 and once three. I would like Excel to complete all the numbers in the cell and then move on to the cell underneath it and so on. Also, I would like each number to have it's own cell.

Here is a formula I am trying to use to access another woorksheet to compare the values in J13 in each worksheet.

I'm dealing with a DDE link and have a cell that works when I type in the value =WINROS|AVEVOL!XOM . But I don't want to manually enter each value. So I have tried to use =INDIRECT("WINROS|AVEVOL!" & A2) where A2 contains the value 'XOM', but I get a #REF! error.

I'm trying to reference the Cryptek total that I got in the previous area, and put that result into the grand total army point formula. When I reference the solution cell, or even copy and paste the very same equation into it, and then proceed to filter the referenced cells change...
The obvious solution that i thought would work is write =D45 next to Cryptek in the point value column, then if I filter it SHOULD maintain the information from D45 except it doesn't.

I have a string of text in cell A2. In cell B2 of my spreadsheet is a formula that calculates a number based on the text string in cell A2.
I want to write a VBA loop that removes a single character from the cell A2 string, then calculate the new value in cell B2. I want this loop to continue until the value in B2 falls below a set value (in this case 60).
My code so far
Sub trim_text()

Dim myanswer As Integer
mytext = Range("A2")
myanswer = Range("B2")

This obviously does not work. In my excel table I have a formula in cell B2 to calculate "myanswer" will this work, or does that code have to be placed into the VBA code?

On the spreadsheet Im creating I am using cell referencing. The user will input data into the blank cells, and cell referencing will put them into another table. Then I add these using an IF(OR(ISBLANK formula.
However, the empty cells come through as 0's rather than a blank cell. As they're coming through as 0's, they're being calculated into the formula, and this is causing problems in my main table.
Is there a formula I can use to ensure that the empty cells being copied over do not give off any other value?
I tried to use a few different IF formulas to only let specific data go through, but it didn't work. I tried to have the blank cells produce a letter so that they wouldn't be calculted in the formula, but letters are also counted as measured values.

I have a row with month titles. I manually fill this with data as the year progresses. I need to automatically use the last month updated in the row in a formula. i.e. theformula is in one cell and calculates on the last figure in the row e,g, data is in january (say C3) - when I input Feb data in C4, I want the formula to automatically reference the last complete cell (ignore january data and calculate on Feb data), and so on through the year.

I have a drop down list that references a few cells in another worksheet. When a value is chosen from the list, the adjacent cell give a description. Basically THe drop down is a list of clinic codes and the description gives time, day etc.

My current worksheet is being built for use in Eve-Online, a game I play. In specific, I am keeping track of profit made by manufacturing different items in the game. I am trying to build it like this:
Column 20 is a list of items, and the next 7 cells to the right of each item contain the mineral requirements for that item. So C20 says Bantam Frigate, C21-C28 will all contain numbers. Now, I am trying to create a function in the upper-right cells (like A1-A8) where if I type in "Bantam Frigate" into A1, A2-A8 will fetch the numbers that I put into C21-C28.
Now, I will be working with thousands of items, so I have to make sure I name both the 'database' and the query exactly right, but that's not a problem to me. Can I make something that will reference a value from (cell+1 column right) or (cell+2 columns right)

Say cell A1 has 55
Cell B1 has the formula =A1
Sort only column A (the 55 now becomes in a different row)
Cell B1 chnages value because it is referencing cell A1 which has now a new value.
I want cell B1 to ALWAYS get the value from that orginal cell (i.e. 55) no mmatter where that cell gets located after sorting.
INDIRECT, and Nammed Ranges don't seem to do it.

Here is what I have
1. Have a COUNT value in a cell (counted the number of rows with values in them).
2. A formula that needs this value (sums another set of values in another column that has the same number of rows).
Example: the COUNT value is 12, and is located in cell G5.
For simplicity sake I have a formula in cell I5 SUM(F1:F12).
Instead of directly referencing F12, I want the formula to be SUM(F1:F(G5)).
