I currently have one spread sheet. At the top of that spread sheet there is an object that hyperlinks to cell A180. When i click that hyperlink, it take me to cell 180, but it appears at the bottom of the spreadsheet, rather than bringing it all the way up to the top of my current viewable screen.

I now want to sort the data in the worksheet into ascending order using the data in column A.
The problem is, none of the hyperlinks from column B sort with the data in column A, they are still in the cell locations I had originally entered them.
I have a spreadsheet which contains about 800 rows. Each row contains a column with the name of a different workbook. I need to scroll through each cell containing the name of a workbook and open that workbook, extract two specific cell contents from each workbook opened, and paste that information into the two cells next to the original cell containing the workbook name.
Example:
Summary Workbook column C: contains names of workbooks.
For each workbook name, I need to open the respective workbook.
Then in the first tab of the workbook I need to extract the information in E6 and K7 and copy that information back into the summary workbook in the two cell to the right of column C.
to retrieve the scrollrow and scrollcolumn values for a worksheet just before its workbook is deactivated. I am currently using the following

Unfortunately, this isn't working the way that I intended. If, for example, I deactivate the workbook containing this code by switching to another open workbook, the msgbox displays the scroll row and column from the active sheet in the new workbook that is opened. How can I "catch" the scroll settings for the workbook containing the above code before it is deactivated?
Ive tried disabling scroll on sheet 1 of my workbook by entering the cell range into the properties window in VBA. However when I save the sheet and reopen it, it seems to reset and are able to scroll again.
I tried using the following:

Worksheets(1).ScrollArea = "A1:Q51"
End Sub
and a few variations of the above but this dosnt seem to be working. The only other code I have in the workbook is under "thisworkboko" which is this:

I use all of column A, B, and C, but i only use D1 to H44 other than that. Is it possible to hide everything to the right of Column I and below D44:H44, but leave the scroll area for columns A B C able to scroll to the bottom?

I have a workbook full of several tabs. The main tab is the 'Report' tab, all other tabs are hidden. The information on the hidden tabs populate onto the 'Report' tab.
My question is, I have created a shape on the 'Report' tab to act as a button. This "buttton" is which I have hyper-linked with one of the hidden tabs. When the hyper-linked tab is showing, the button works fine. However, when I hide the hyper-linked tab, the button does not work. I would prefer to have just the 'Report' tab showing.
I have a table of many rows and columns of information, some of which is hyperlinked to seperate sheets in the same workbook, some are not hyperlinked at all. What I want to do is select a column and when a hyperlink is found going down the column, copy the sheet that it is linked to into a new book, then find the next hyperlink and copy that sheet into the same book as the first one. So if I have 25 hyperlinks in the column, I finish up with a new book containing 25 sheets in the order they were found. Hope someone can help me with this, it will save me hours of work.

Is it possible to have the "click here" part as a hyperlink, and not the entire cell?
Or- do i have to add an "image" or something similar to which i can add the hyperlink and then anchor the "image" to that cell?
Column C (starting at row 5) contains hyperlinks. I want to print the linked file, move down to the next cell, print that file, move on to the next, etc. FYI - The worksheets are from a seperate file.

For example:
An image of a strawberry is hyperlinked to a cell which contains the word "strawberry".
After clicking on the strawberry image, the cell which contained the word "strawberry" now contains the word "strawberry1".

Instead, Paste Special thinks that I have copied some non-Excel objects and gave me the Paste As options. This is not the case if I open both workbook within the same instance of Excel. Could you share with us if there is a trick to trigger the normal Paste Special options in such situations (without having to invoke Macro procedures)?

The problem I'm running into is that some of the cells aren't in any kind of order that allows for a range, or at least to my understanding of how a range works in VBA. So from the first sheet I need to take the values of [N53, M53, P53, AC53] pasted into [D26, D27, D28, D29]. I'm thinking that maybe this is something that could be done with an array, but I'm still much of a beginner in programming so I haven't gotten it to work.

I am using code to filter my 4 sheets Greater then 0 (zero)
After apply above filter now i need to copy multiple rows and paste on another specific workbook for paste i m using below code:
for 1st sheet with the name ("V2")
for 2nd sheet with the name("LV")
For 3rd sheet with the name ("F2")
and 4th sheet with the name("L2")
If I play above code one by one all is going very well,,,,,,or if use in this way all is going very well
But here is a big problem..........if any sheet have no value greater then 0(zero)....then code paste all data... e.g shssts("LV") .Range("C5:C54").Copy but C5:C54 have no data greater then 0(zero) and it will paste on another sheet c5:c54 and again new sheets data will paste below the c54 while c5:c54 have no data.
So I want if any sheet have no data with range is greater then 0(Zero) then skip the copy paste code or use like SpecialCells(xlCellTypeVisible) .
I am trying to make a scroll box so I can enter data into the scroll box dirrectly. Such a simple thing.

Every time I move the scroll bar down the page it just keeps showing me the same part of the sheet eg cells 1-30 when I want to see all the way down to the bottom. I have some 20,000 lines I need to scroll through but I can't see all of them. To add to this, I keep having lines hide between other lines so theres a big gap like going from line 120 to line 4000 and I have to manually unhide them every time to see them.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a spreadsheet with some scripting that automatically emails the report to whoever is on the sheet. I'm not sure what kind of scripting it is. I think my boss found it somewhere.
Whenever I scroll either down or up, the first 3 rows disappear and I'm not able to scroll back up. The scrollbar shows that I'm not at the top, but it won't let me go back up. The first 3 rows contain the button to send the email. If I close out without saving and open it again, its fine, until I scroll up or down.
I've been trying to set the scroll bar min/max/small change to a decimal (percentage value) within the properties, obviously this does not work.
Since users can enter a value in the link cell for the scroll bar, how can I modify the current min/max/small change via macros so the scroll bar will show a min on 1%, small change of 0.25% and max of 25%?

I use a very simple textbox in a userform for sequential output only (it displays status messages of a long program run). The box nicely scrolls vertically up the lines but only till the userform has the focus (i.e. it is the actual selected window). But when I change the focus to othe window - scrolling immediatelly stops. Unfortunatly when I activate a new Excel sheet in the background program, the userform lost the focus and scroll is stopping.
Has anybody a solution for it? I have already tried positioning the textbox with sellength/selstart but I was unable to start the scrolling again from the proper position. I know that VB has the scrolltocaret() funcion but it is missing in VBA.
