Stopping Ontime Macro At Fixed Time

I have the following macro that runs every time the system clock's second changes to 07 seconds. I however want it to stop running at 09:47 am. I have the code to stop the timer also (given below) but I am unable to stop the loop at 09:47 am. How do I do that?

I am running a timer in XL using the Application .OnTime Method.
Everywhere I've looked tells me that the procedure to stop the timer is
Sub StopTimer()
On Error Resume Next

I have this code in with the timer, but when I hit F5 or go to Tools--->Macros--> and Run the StopTimer Macro the timer just keeps running.
how I can properly call this procedure and stop the timer?

I'm using Application OnTime to fire a procedure every 30 mins. It works great, but the workbook tries to reopen itself when i close it (but not if i close excel entirely). I assume this is because I haven't stopped it anywhere. So I put a call to a procedure that has: Application.OnTime RunWhen, cRunWhat, , False
In the "Workbook_BeforeClose" event. This doesn't solve the problem. What am I missing?

I am wanting to calculate the the processing time for an order that takes place within normal business hours and workweek. A normal day is from 8:00 to 5:00 If a task is started at 2:00 PM Monday and finished at 10:00 AM Tuesday then the result should be 5 hours as I do not want to include any time outside of normal hours. I can figure out how to subtract dates and times but not how to bridge a day(s). My data is somewhat flexible as I have not started the project yet. I can use separate cells for the times and dates or have two cells that use both incorporate the date and time (8/27/09 2:00 PM) for start and end time or any other idea.

I have a sheet with a number of different columns, is there a way that when data is input into a cell in the first column that it time stamps the last column on the same row, and this time stamp is fixed. Then when data is input into the cell below the same thing happens, so i can have a time stamp for each entry.

I have 80 worksheets in my workbook, each worksheet contains a table which must be updated on the first day of each month. On each sheet I need vba to duplicate the value in cell A10 to replace the next zero value in column E; duplicate the value in cell F10 to replace the next zero value in column J. Then, continue the same operation on the next sheet.

In my main macro I have a line that makes it jump into a timer subroutine that starts the main macro every 30 seconds. However, I also have a line in the main macro that makes it jump into another subroutine at 2pm everyday that sends out emails. The problem is that if the timer starts the main macro again before the sending emails subroutine finishes, then it will only finish sending a portion of the emails before it jumps back into the main macro. Is there any way to stop my main macro once it recognizes that it needs to jump into the email sending subroutine, or a way to at least stop the timer subroutine?

Is it possible to use a macro that needs parmeters as part of an application.ontime instruction? - I am getting a macro cannot be found error message.
If I change the called macro so that parameters are not required, it is found OK (but obviously isn't doing what I want anymore!).
I reckon it is something to do with the quotations around the macro name

way to get a formula result to freeze or remain unchanged AFTER a certain time?
I tried using a macro which runs when the file is opened and does a crude 'copy/paste values' operation and replaces the Formula results with their values, but its is not very 'nice'!
I need a table to change a pattern of values but not in the past, but still to remember what that value was....!

I have a real simple question about what command to enter in order to stop a macro. All the macro does is "press the F9 key" every second. I use a button to start the loop but I am unable to find a way to use another button to stop the process. Ive copied my macro below:

Firstly you don't need to know anything about Bloomberg to answer this query, only that Bloomberg has various functions that take time to update.
The code Application.Run "RefreshEntireWorkbook" will update these functions but Application.OnTime (Now + TimeValue("00:00:25")), "RunList" is required to allow them time to get the data from the feed. However this only works if the refresh and wait commands are in a seperate function. So in simplified terms it must go like this in vba:

I am using Excel2010.
My sheet displays values collected from a database via an AddIn. The values are updated by pressing CTRL+G (AddIn function).
I have an OnTime macro running SendKeys "^G" to update the values every minute. When the values exceed a certain limit, a sound is played from a custom Alarm function.
This all works as long as the excel window is active.
But if excel is minimized or another window is opened, the values stop updating until Excel is active again.
When the values dont update the sound is not played and that defeats the purpose of the sheet.

For a sheet that many non-expert users will use on different systems I need a macro that let's them save, print and send the results of their work. So I made a macro that makes a copy of only 1 sheet of the workbook and saves it with a given name to a given location. The problem is that I want a location prompt to ask the user where they want the file saved, while giving/suggesting them a fixed filename. A lot of different users will make and use their sheets so I need a certain naming policy to manage all the files. (date, location, etc)

See attached the example worksheet. I am wondering if there is a way to write a macro that will change data from individual strings within a cell row to merged and centre data for that set of data. The issue is the data in the row will be varied i.e. sometimes there will be 20 x 2013 other times there may be 22 X 2013 etc. however, the data will always be fixed in the same row on the worksheet.
At the moment the best I have is a recorded macro, which really doesn't work too great and I end up fixing it constantly.

I am attempting to modify VBA code from [URL] .....
The section of the code I want to modify is below dealing with importing selective text. The original function returned a "False" if the line contained a keyword specified in the Array function. I have reworked it so that it shows a "True" if the line contains a keyword specified in the Array function.
My only problem is that it only does it when the keyword appears in the beginning of the line, as it uses the "Left" operator in looking at line. How do I configure the function so that it returns a "True" if the keywords appears anywhere in the line?

I have a long (190,000) list of customer data, all in Column A (unfortunately with blank rows among it, but working now to fix that).
Down the column, individual customers are bookended by a "adf" and a "/adf". (these have open and close brackets like HTML code, but I cannot reproduce them in this forum).
For each customer, I need to find the rows that begin with (brackets spelled out since I do not know how to show them):
1. [open bracket] vehicle status
2. name part=3D"first"[close bracket]
3. [open bracket]name part=3D"last"[close bracket]
4. [open bracket]email[close bracket]
5.[open bracket]phone time=3D
6.[open bracket] name part=3D
And transpose only those rows it into columns.There is a dynamic number of rows for each customer, so there's no way to simply count and transpose, as the columns would all be mis-entered.Somehow it needs to recognize those 6 row items, and transpose those values only, with the and the only telltale of a start and finish of a specific customer.
EDIT: How about a macro to delete all rows except those that contain those partial values above?

I need to fixed width-text to column macro and found a reply in the forum.
However, when I apply the macro, the result of zeros in front of figures disappear since the format of value in splitted column doesn't predefined as text
e.g. sample text to split to column:

Required result:

when running below macro; result shows:

(Beginning zeros figures of the first and last column disappear)

I have rather large Excel file that spans around 245 columns & has multiple users responsible for certain columns. Columns are chunked to provide data about a specific group. Every 72 hours, I need to provide to managers what’s currently on this file in a specific summary format.
I’ve recorded a macro that gets me half way there. Here’s where I’m clueless. After my macro deletes unnecessary columns, what remains are the columns for “Main Data” group + each of the 5 “Business” groups (Investors, Lawyers, Credit, Finance, and Support) which would have identical column headings.
(1) Name (2) Address (3) ID# (4) Control#
Furthermore, for each of the 5 “Business” groups, there are 9 slots (ie- a user can enter up to 9 unique entries for a particular group.)
Example- The Investor group contains 9 slots. Each slot will contain the 4 columns mentioned above. So there are 46 slots in total – 1 for Main Data, 45 (5 groups x 9 slots) for Business groups.
MAIN DATA (columns A-D)
Investor1 (columns E-H)… Investor2 (columns I-L)… Investor9 (columns AK-AN)
Lawyer1… Lawyer9
Compliance1… Compliance9
Finance1… Finance9
Support1… Support9
MY PROBLEM: I need a macro to now cut & paste all data from each of the 45 Business groups slots & then paste at the bottom of the MAIN DATA slot.
The final file would be 4 columns (as listed above) wide. Data from each of the 45 business group slots would be one below the other- all of it underneath the data in the Main Data group.
I attempted to record a macro where I’m copying a section’s data range starting from row2 to row4000 (I know there will never be 4000 entries. I did this just to ensure that all future data would be captured) then pasting that after the last entry in the Main Data.
Example- I’d copy data from Investor1 slot(starting at column E2-H2) & go about 4000 rows down. Then I’d press CTRL+Down Arrow key in column A & then click the down arrow one time to take me into 1st empty cell where I would paste my copied data. I was going to repeat this process for the remaining 44 slots.
I’ve added some extra entries to test the macro & the problem is that the recorded macro is pasting data in specific cell location in column A instead for looking for the 1st empty cell in column A & then pasting the copied data.
So far I've gone thought the net & tried to paste in a few VBA posts/tips that I thought would work. Here's what I have so far from tinkering around. I need someone to tell me what to replace the xxxxxxx line with. This would be the language to tell Excel to paste copied data range into the first blank cell in column A. I am trying to get the following macro to run every half hour from 9am until 4pm.
I did try entering the following statement within the macro but I get the error message "compile error - arguement not optional"

Is there a way to set the ontime application to run even when excel is turned off? I'd like to be able to refresh a data table every morning at 6:30, even if excel is not on. Ideally, if even my computer isn't on. The code below works, but only if the sheet is open to the exact worksheet.

In trying to set up a structure for a bigger and better worksheet, I've come up against a problem that doesn't make sense to me: When the Worksheet is activated, the startTimer sub is in fact run with the OnTime application. But I keep getting the error message "Macro MakeNote not found," when that macro is in fact right there.
The code is very simple:

so that everyday it runs at the same time Everyday? At the moment i have to close the workbook at somepoint during the day then relaunch so that it picks this line up, when this eventually "goes live" it will not be monitored as closely as it does now during testing.

currently i have this:

Works fine. Its updating and refreshing a file every 15 minutes. When a cell in the test.xls changes to TRUE, my sheet picks it up and changes to TRUE also.
So here is the problem: Once my sheet changes to TRUE, another macro activates in my sheet. This macro will automatically activate every 15 minutes if value is TRUE. BUT the problem is i ONLY WANT TO ACTIVATE THIS MACRO ONCE a day IF the value in my sheet is TRUE. So in summary how do i activate a macro based on a TRUE value on a cell, to happen ONCE a day and then stop?

I'm trying to create a macro to help me with a running issues list. I what to be able to have an issues column and a fix coulumn. Then I'll have an open issues section and closed/fixed issues section. all issues that do not have any Information and date in the fix colum will stay in the open section unitl the fix is entered and then when I run my macro it will move any open issues that have data in the fixed column to the closed section)
