Total Sales Of Every Month

I got individual dates in Column A. The format is 01/04/2012, 02/04/2012, 03/04/2012 and so on.

The person enters sales everyday. Now I want to make a new sheet which should sum up the sales month wise.

So in the new sheet I will have

Column A- Products
Column B- Sum of days in April 2012
Column C- Sum of Days in May 2012
Column D- Sum of Days June 2012
And so on

Finding Current Month Total Sales Using Current Month To Date Sales In Formula / Macro?

Basically, I'm doing a recorded macro for work where I take an export and manipulate the data to show differences between sales from last year and this year. Also comparing this months projected sales to avg of last 6 months and also against last years this month.

The problem I'm running into is in automating the this month sales for mid-month exports. I can do it individually but I can't find a formula that will do it. Data is in one cell per month, so ex. 130 sales this month so far. I need to have it convert that to projected sales for total month based on what day it currently is.

Using Rolling 12 Month Sales And Minimum Monthly Sales?

I have a sales level that I need to track...My rolling 12 months' sales must be $85,000 and my currently monthly sales must be $7,000. I have a sheet that tracks the $85,000 and tells me what I need to achieve that, but I haven't figured out how to include the $7,000 monthly minimum....

The chart below is what I have. So for example, this month it's telling me I only need to sell another 3016.46 to hit the $85,000 rolling 12, but I actually need to hit $4821.79 to meet the $7k minimum.

Part of the heading of the total column is the week ending date (e.g. 10/17/2009. On the Monthly Sales I have the months in columns by week ending (e.g. 10/17/2009).

Create Year To Date Sales Comparing 4 Years Month By Month?

Need to create year to date sales comparing 4 years month by month. Stacked chart (Excel 2010) works OK for the first three months but adding the fourth month changes the chart to 4 series with a monthly axis. To put it another way I need a vertical axis of years and a horizontal axis of $$$ with each months sales of each year stacked on its year.

Countif To Find Total Sales

I have a column of names, and I want to be able to count all the instances of each name, as each instance represents a sale of a product.

Countif(Sales!B:B,"Dave") works, counting all the instances of Dave.

But if I have all the names in column A, and try to have column B give the results (from another WS), as in: =COUNTIF(Sales!B:B,'Best Customers'!A1), I get a "0" as the result. Yet XL help says countif can be used as =COUNTIF(A2:A5,A4). where A4 holds the value to search for.

While we are exploring this, is there a good way to look in a column, get every different instance of the names, and output them into another column?

I have a report which has a list of customers, each customer has 24 columns which represent the payment history over 24 months. If a payment has been made for that month the date and time (formatted correctly) will be populated in this cell.

Each customer has a product name attached to it so a product can appear several times. I need is a formula that shows the total payments recieved for a particular month for a particular product. For example.

I have managed to create the following flag which works a treat, it picks up a date an account was set up but looks at 1 column.

I'm trying to calculate a running total of ticket sales with 5 different groups (adult, youth, senior day, senior night, and child) to where once the number of tickets are bought it will update automatically. I enter the tickets in cells B5-B9 where it then calculates the amount due and the change due. I need to put the running total in cells B18-B22.

Comparing The Same Month Sales Between Two Different Years?

I am trying to create a function where the user can type in a single month, and 2 different years, and it will calculate/compare that single month from the 2 different years entered.

For Example: I type in January, and I type in 2014 and 2013. The excel formula will spit out whether January 2014 is over/under January 2013.

See attached for my sales report. You can see where I left some space for the requested function.

as it is the last change I have to make to the sales report.

SQL To Excel - Stock Sales By Month

I am fairly new to VBA / Excel programming. I have been trying to write a report out of excel from our company DB (SQL2005). The database is run by our frontend accounting application - so i cant mess with it at all, must only run queries.

I need to pull the last 24 months of stock sales data(by stock code or category) out of our DB into excel by counting transactions on Customer Invoices / credits. Into a table as follows..
Stock Code--Month1-Month2-Month3
ABC1----------43------33------19
ABC2-----------2------10------25
I have managed to make a script that fullfills this need but it takes about 15 minutes to run(Due to having to loop many times per item/ per month)....
I was just wondering if anyone had any tips / advice on different ways to do this..??? Ive had a quick look at Pivottables but havent gone very far in, maybe they are the answer, but this amateur does not know.

Also in cell A1i have the number of the month

For example the month is 3 (March)
I want in AK to create a SUMIF where the formula will sum columnsX+Y+Z
If month goes 4 then should calculate
X+Y+Z+AA
and so on

I have a spreadsheet for monthly supplies. In row 1 is Jan – Dec and in the row 2 below are empty cells where there will be a total for that month’s purchases. I want a conditional format formula to automatically bold and highlight the current month’s total and month name.

Also, when I enter February totals next month and that number is input into February’s total, I want that month and total to bold and highlight BUT I also want the previous month’s bold and highlight to vanish at the same time. Is this possible?

How To Create A Report To Show TOP 20% Based On Sales To Grand Total

Let's say I have a list of 200 customers with their business name in column A and their total 2011 purchases from my company.

How can I create a report to show the TOP 20% based on sales to grand total.

Basically, of my total business last year... I want to see the top 20% of this customer list that contributed to my total business.... and so on... to show top 40%, top 60%, etc. So, did 5 customers contribute to 20% of my total... or was it 10, 15?

Let's start with the above 1st.... but I want to also know if I can make this report (or maybe dashboard) dynamic? I'm pulling my sales from a database, and want to be able to refresh this report periodically throughout 2012. The list of customer will grow throughout the year too.

Calculating Average Dollar Increase In Sales To Running Total

I have sales numbers which is in the form of a running total dollar amount and I would like to keep track of the average increase in dollars.

So basiclly if the Jan total is $100 in column a, the Feb total is $150 in column b, and the March total is $200 in column c. I would like a formula that will tell me that the average increase in dollars is $50.

Total Liters Sold Per Month In 24 Month Period

I have a range of dates in c1:c285. I have a range of liters sold on those days in e1:e285. I want to total the liters sold per month for the 2 year period.

I was trying to use =SUM(IF(MONTH(c1:c285)=1,e1:e18,0))

However this just returns a "value" comment. I think even if this worked it would add the months together for the 2 years so both June figures would be returned as one figure.

I need the pivot table to subtract 'February' sales figures from 'January' sales figures to get the difference (variance).

I know the following steps:

1) Click on the Pivot Table

2) Choose "Formulas"

3) Choose "Calculated Field"

4) In the "Name" field - type in the name that I want "Two Month Variance" (for example)

Tracking Daily Total Sales And Individual Tender With Data Extracted From .dbf File.

I want to track daily sales of a shop with the tenders (Cash, Master, Visa)seperated.

Everyday there will be a file ctp.dbf from a folder YYYYMMDD (previous day date) which contains sales details.

I tried to use sumif commands and everything is working fine. everytime i have to open book.xls and from it I do a files>Open to open the ctp.dbf for the calculation to be done. is there a way where by i can open 1 file and everthing i calculated properly?

Also this book.xls can only do for 1 day how can i go about having the daily sales detail of the month (look something like sales summary.xls) or even year in 1 excel file?

Formula To Sum Sales Over 12 Month Period Not Based On Calendar Year

I am writing a formula that will sum data for a 12 month period that is not based on a calendar year. For example may have data starting in June 2011 running to date, but not every month. If I set a start date for Year 1, say April 2012, I need to see Year 0 numbers (anything prior to April 2012), Year 1 numbers (April 2012 to March 2013), Year 2 numbers (April 2013 to March 2014), and so on. Date format is currently mmm-yy.

If this could be performed via a macro which references the database (spreadsheet), then even better. The database will contain multiple columns, of which two will contain the date and corresponding number respectively.

Total # of sales-35%
Total $ of sales-45%
Number of calls made-20%

Given that there is more than one variable they have placed percentage weight on each. Thus my task is to cull said percentage and add their total thus getting a figure which would represent their ranking depending on how higj or low the total is.

In attached sheet, I am trying to find total cost by month only for year 2009. Currently formula I have in Cell c24, is {=SUM(IF(MONTH(B2:B9)=1,D2:D9,0))} But this calculates for all years, not just 2009. How do I modify above formula, so for each month, it shows total cost but only for 2009?

Cumulative Total By Month

I have a list of daily sales which I would like to have a cumulative total by month. Once the next month is encountered, the cumulative total will reset for that month again.

E.g. (please see attached file)
Column C is my cumulative total. The cumulative sum will reset when the month changes from Jan to Feb.

I can achieve the results using VBA but I need to distribute my report to parties whose VBA environment is disabled. So, I need to work around this with a formula.
