Use SumIF Formula To Add Sales Forecast Based On Three Conditions

Apr 4, 2014

I am trying to use sumif formula to add sales forecast based on three conditions but i also want to add the revenue for current month which i have but for the next one months as well as two months plus.. this will change based on the current month.. below is what I am using for the current month..

=IF($B$3=Reference_Data!E2,SUMIFS(Current!$K:$K,Current!$G:$G,"Yes",Current!$C:$C,$B$1,Current!$E:$E,$B$3),
IF($B$3=Reference_Data!E3,SUMIFS(Current!$K:$K,Current!$G:$G,"Yes",Current!$C:$C,$B$1,Current!$E:$E,$B$3),
IF($B$3=Reference_Data!E4,SUMIFS(Current!$K:$K,Current!$G:$G,"Yes",Current!$C:$C,$B$1,Current!$E:$E,$B$3),

Forecast Quantity Based On Sales History?

Mar 29, 2013

I need to find a way of populating a column of forecasts based upon previous sales amount and price. For instance if I have apples on special for $2 and previously sold 200 units on multiple occasions at this price but once off sold 1000 apples at special $1, but normally they are $3 selling on average 50. I would want to get a result of Forecast: 200, not 50 or anything else to far off

I've attached the sheet I currently use for work.

Dated tab: is my working sheet MerchTrend: Previous sales history, which is imported from POS system and unfortunately cells will change based upon sales

On the Dated Tab, price column includes multi buy prices (ie 2 for $3) but the Merch Trend refers to these as individual sales (ie 2 sales for $1.50) On the Merch trend, Price Type refers to promo style. (N for Normal Price, IA, S, R, IR, P are promotional)

How To Forecast Pickup Dates Based On Several Conditions

Apr 18, 2012

I am trying to project a dispatch date from my DC against the received customer orders.

The following are some important points for consideration of the projected dispatch date:-

1)Customer order is received 24X7(365 days via internet).
2)DC works between Monday-Saturday.
3)Courier company picks-up material from DC between Monday-Saturday.
4)Customer order processing CUT-OFF-TIME is 16PM(on any working day).
5)There are holidays for both DC & courier company on and above SUNDAY.

I am looking for a formula which can forecast the proposed pick-up date from the DC based on the following conditions:-

1)CUT-OFF-TIME:-If the customer order is received on any working day(except Sunday & Holiday) on or before the CUT-OFF-TIME of 16PM then the order will be dispatched on the same day or the dispatch will be made on the next working day.
2)SUNDAY/HOLOIDAY:-If the customer order is received on SUNDAY/designated HOLIDAYs(irrespective of any time) then the order will be dispatched on the next working day.

I am providing few probable scenarios with the desired result. Formula which can populate the desired result across D2:D11.

How To Forecast Delivery Dates Based On Several Complex Conditions

Apr 10, 2012

I am trying to project the delivery dates of my shipments which is sent via courier to different destinations from my Distribution Centre.

The courier company delivers the parcels across Monday to Saturday(Sunday being the off day for the courier). There are different transit days for different locations which works in deriving the project dates from the shipping date. I am looking for a formula which can satisfy all the following conditions and project the delivery dates accordingly:-

Condition1:-If the projected delivery date falls on Sunday and there is no holiday on the very next day(Monday) then the projected delivery dates needs to be on Monday.

Condition2:- If the projected delivery date falls on Sunday and the very next Monday is a Holiday then the projected delivery dates needs to be on Tuesday.

Condition3:- If the projected delivery date is a Holiday and the holiday falls on any day between Monday to Friday then the delivery date will be the next working day post the holiday(between Mon-Sat).

Condition4:-If the projected delivery date is a Holiday and the holiday falls on Saturday then the delivery date will be next Monday.

Condition5A/5B/5C:-In case there are more than one holidays at a stretch(2/3 days of holidays at stretch) and if the projected delivery dates falls within the holidays then the projected delivery dates needs to be on the next working day(Between Monday to Saturday).

I have tried to write a formula but it is only satisfying the Condition1,Condition2 & Condition3. I am providing a sample data with desired results based on the above conditions. Any single formula which can derive the desired results.

SumIf: Keep Stocks, Based On 2 X The Sales

Oct 8, 2008

As you can see I am using the code below in ( I ) =IF(OR(G5="",H5=""),"",-INT(-(-INT(-2*G5/C5)*C5-H5)/C5)*C5)

What I am trying to do is keep stocks, based on 2 x the sales, as you can see G5 I have 15 I still have stock of 35 so I should not need any stock but it has put 50 in. The 50 is a layer rate that I need to order in if I need any. If I had 20 sales and 19 in stock I would want it to order 50. It is the same for all the ones listed in the sheet apart from I8 where it should have ordered but only 40.

Two Conditions In One Formula - SUMIF Using Manual Indicator

Feb 20, 2014

I work for a farm where we receive fresh produce from harvesters daily. I created a workbook with worksheets(ws) for my daily inventory counts according to product type and separate worksheets for each day of the week showing the orders shipping for that particular day.

I collaborated the data from the inventory count ws and the ws for each day into one ws called Harvest. I am trying to figure out how to keep a running total of what needs to be harvested vs. what is in inventory so that I can show my harvesters what new product is needed to fill orders for today forward, after subtracting what is available in inventory, and showing the amount shipped for past days . Another part that's throwing me is that harvest brings in new product daily and sometimes they bring in a surplus.

Here is an example:

Lets say today is Tuesday and my Inventory ws shows we have 50 kale in inventory - cell D10

Monday ws shows an order for 50 kale, cell D14

Tuesday ws shows an order for 100 kale, cell D14

Wednesday ws shows an order for 100 kale, cell D14

Thursday ws shows an order for 100 kale, cell D14

On my Harvest ws, Since today is Tuesday, how would I keep the Monday cell showing 50 kale as the amount shipped on Monday, Tuesday cell showing we need 50 kale to be harvested to add to the 50 in inventory and fill the order of 100, Wednesday cell showing that we need 100 kale harvested, and Thursday showing that we need 100 kale harvested?

If Harvest brings in a surplus of 100 kale on Tuesday so we have 100 kale in inventory on Wednesday how do I get the Harvest ws to now show that Monday cell should still show 50 kale shipped, Tuesday cell should show 100 kale shipped, Wednesday cell should show that we don't need any kale harvested since we are using the 100 surplus in inventory, Thursday cell should show we need 100 kale harvested.

Convert 52 Week Rolling Forecast To Monthly Forecast

Apr 4, 2014

I have a 52 week rolling forecast that I would like to have displayed in each calendar month that it corresponds to. I have come up with a solution where it does lump the data together into months but it is not a smooth lumping of the weeks as some weeks cross over from one month to the next. Is there a way to lump each week into its respective month. My current solution places in some months 4 weeks worth of data and in other months 5 weeks worth of data. Attached is the spreadsheet that I am using. The tab "Weekly Sales" is the 52 week data which has specified the exact dates on the calendar that that week represents. The "Monthly Sales" tab has the 12 week data which has specified the exact dates on the calendar that that month represents. I've tried SUMPRODUCT but that is giving me 4 weeks in some months and 5 weeks in others.

Formula To Sum Sales Over 12 Month Period Not Based On Calendar Year

Mar 27, 2014

I am writing a formula that will sum data for a 12 month period that is not based on a calendar year. For example may have data starting in June 2011 running to date, but not every month. If I set a start date for Year 1, say April 2012, I need to see Year 0 numbers (anything prior to April 2012), Year 1 numbers (April 2012 to March 2013), Year 2 numbers (April 2013 to March 2014), and so on. Date format is currently mmm-yy.

If this could be performed via a macro which references the database (spreadsheet), then even better. The database will contain multiple columns, of which two will contain the date and corresponding number respectively.

Finding Next Value Based On Conditions In Formula?

Jan 6, 2014

Current simplified situation:

Department A
Employee_1
Employee_2
Employee_3
(empty cell)
Department B
Employee_4
Employee_5
Department C
Employee_6
Employee_7
Employee_8
Employee_9
Employee_10

With the VLOOKUP function, I have looked up the row numbers of the departments. Subsequently, I'd like to find the last employee of that department, based on the department's name and/or the department's row number.

A department-typed cell is non-empty and never contains an underscore. An employee-typed cell is non-empty and it always contains an underscore.

The simple and non-sufficing formula is the VLOOKUP of the row number of next department minus one. But with adding, moving and subtracting departments rapidly, this is not an option.

Finding Current Month Total Sales Using Current Month To Date Sales In Formula / Macro?

Basically, I'm doing a recorded macro for work where I take an export and manipulate the data to show differences between sales from last year and this year. Also comparing this months projected sales to avg of last 6 months and also against last years this month.

The problem I'm running into is in automating the this month sales for mid-month exports. I can do it individually but I can't find a formula that will do it. Data is in one cell per month, so ex. 130 sales this month so far. I need to have it convert that to projected sales for total month based on what day it currently is.

Sumif (4 Conditions)

Feb 17, 2009

I have two columns with numbers and want to build the sum of them with a condition.
These are stock prices. So prices go up and down and I can go long or short.

I have a column that indicates if I went long (l) or short (s).

If I go long (l), and its a winner, I want to have the sum of Exit Price - Entry Price.
If I go short, and its a winner I want to have the sum of Entry Price - Exit Price.
If I go long (l), and its a loser, I want to have the sum of Entry - Exit.
If I go short (s) and its a loser, I want to have the sum of Exit - Entry.

Overall I just want to make sure that the sum has the right algebraic sign (+ or -), depending on whether it was long or short and whether it was a winner or a loser.

SUMIF Formula With Sum_Range Based On Column Index Number

Jun 22, 2009

Following is a summarized example of my data and what I am trying to accomplish.

[Column A] contains a list of account numbers. [Column B] contains current balances, [column C] contains balances from one month ago, [column D] contains balances from two months ago. Within the same spreadsheet I want the ability to type in the account number in one cell and then the column number in another cell. For example, If I type in the account number 1234 and the column number 3, I would get the balance from [column c]...if I typed in the column number 4, I would get the balance from [column D].

My first thought was to use a simple SUMIF formula that would compare the account number I type with the account numbers found in [column A]. The problem is getting a formula that can translate the number 3 to [column C] or the number 4 to [column D]. Note: the actual spreadsheet I am using extends out to column BI.

This is simuilar to the Column Index Number used in a VLOOKUP formula.

What I'm trying to do is get a sum of the values in column C where the corresponding values in columns A and B = the date and loction I specify. I've tried...

=SUM(IF(('Jan ''07'!A$2:A$750="1/2/2007")*('Jan ''07' E$2:E$750="London"),'Jan ''07'!J$2:J$750))

but it's returning zero values regardless of the criteria being met or not.

It works fine except I want it to reference the cell that the number 26 is in rather than having to have it in quotes, i tried this, but don't get the same answers as this way. The reason being is more conditions may be added in the future which would mean for example the 26 could change to a 34 etc so i rather not have to have someone manually change that number in the formula and just have it refence a cell.

Formula Needed Based On 2 Conditions And Variable Row Reference

Jan 9, 2014

I am an architect and recently I was required to do some extensive calculation relating to water requirements and toilet requirements for a building that i was designing. i created a excel file, with a basic vlookup function to put certain values in the cells that are pre-defined for a particular building typology (mostly created by governmental bodies as guidelines). for example, when i choose a particular type in column E, column F and G fills up automatically. now this table also gives me occupant load based on what is the area i enter in column D.

The problem is that I want to automate the calculation of toilet requirements. Now, each typology will have a different formula to calculate WC/Urinal/washbasin.

1. there will be 17 different formula - one for each typology (as shown in sheet 5)
2. Column j will calculate what is the number of WC required based on 2 criteria - first id what is the typology and then looking what is the number of occupant.

The problem here is for example, if in E9, selected typology as "offices", the formula of offices typology will be used in J9 and occupant value from H9 will be used but if i have E18 also selected as offices typology, the same formula will use occupant value mentioned in H18 instead of using H9.

Hence, excel will first have to look what is the typology selected. based on that, it will load formula - out of that 17 different formula - specific to that typology and finally it will refer to corresponding row for occupant load and will use it in the formula to get the result.

Mega Formula To Calculate Results Based On Several Conditions

Aug 25, 2009

I have in column A a list of investment fund names. In columns B to D is respectively for each fund its Market Value, the Rate of Return and the Rank (1, 2, 3 or 4). I am trying to create a formula that will calculate the market value-weighted rate of return for each ranking.

For example, the 3 funds that rank first have market value weights of 10%, 12% and 13%, and rates of return of 1%, -3% and 5%. The total market-value weighted return for the top-ranked funds would therefore be 0.39% (i.e. 0.10*0.01-0.12*0.03+0.13*0.05)

The formula would first need to look in the ranking column to identify those funds with a particular rank (column D), then calculate their weights by dividing their market value by the total market value of all funds (column B), and finally multiplying these weights by the rate of return (column C), before summing the results to say, for example, that the total market-value weighted return for the top-ranked funds is 0.39%
