This is a simple fine line crosshair which ALWAYS extends the full screen width and height. Excel users seem to be stuck with the little box cross. A full screen crosshair for Excel would allow one to instantly and easily see which row and column the cursor is on without clicking a cell or following from the cursor to the row/column with your finger on the screen. It may seem trivial, but once you have used a full screen crosshair, you just don't know what you've been missing.

I have an excel workbook that I would like to
a) appear more app-like, and
b) show more data in the available space.
I do not want to go too elaborate by hiding (remembering and restoring) control bars and I reckon the View Full Screen is pretty much okay for my purposes.
I am currently invoking View Full Screen on Workbook_Activate but hitting the ESC key returns to normal view. I can already see my users hitting the ESC key for various reasons and ruining my master plan.
Is there are any way to prevent unintended ESC from Full-Screen or otherwise lock in the full-screen mode until revoked intentionally by macro (shortcut)?

I have large workbook with various sheets. In my first worksheet I have some command buttons that call each sheet as needed. However, I would like each sheet to be displayed either as a web page or in a way that the user does not see all of the menus, bars and so on.

This might be extremely easy, but why my Excel (nor Word for that matter) doesn't go to full screen anymore? I'm pretty sure that I haven't used any options, I do have a new graphics card, but all the other applications goes to full screen. I have restarted my computer. Basically I think that it's either some option, or then reinstalling Office.

I seem to be stuck in "Full Screen" mode. When I go to the View menu, both "Full Screen" and "Normal" are highlighted. I can't seem to get out of Full Screen.
I am using Excel 2003, XP SP3 installed. This just started this am. I did download and install Microsoft patches this am. ???
I am able to save and use Excel but without normal view my formating buttons etc. are not available.

My workbook operates in full screen mode simly to make it looks a bit nicer. I have some + - buttons that call a macro to change the scale of the axes of a chart (sort of a zoom effect). For some reason, whenever I run these macros my workbook exits out of full screen mode.
Here's an example of the zoom code:
ActiveSheet.ChartObjects("Chart 115").Activate
ActiveChart.Axes(xlValue).Select
ActiveChart.Axes(xlValue).MinimumScale = 200000
ActiveSheet.Range("a1").Select

I had a spreadsheet with 17 photos on, one in each cell. I had to resize so you can see them all on the screen. If you have some pictures that are resized to fit in cells, is there any way to double click (or hover?) them and make them actual size or full screen when you want to view them in detail?

I have created a spreadsheet and wanted to originally see if I could save as a separate format (that makes it more like an application than an Excel spreadsheet). Having investigated, I found that full screen mode pretty much does what I want, however you can restore the menus by pressing ESC or selecting restore down. Is there a way of preventing users from exiting full screen mode, I could add a close application button for them to use instead.

I'm using a bit of code (below) which is not amazing but which does seem to work, the idea being that entering a number then the active cell relating to that number will be highlighted and the sheeet position will "goto" it to move it into view on the screen. I have adapted this from something in one of my old Workbooks, and I admit it's probably a bit messy!
The problem is, it doesn't seem to always put the returned active cell in the same place, sometimes it's nicely central to the screen, but at others it's right at the top. As the numbers corrrespond to the top line of each little area of 30 rows, I'd like it to to come about 10-12 rows down. I can't seem to get this to work!
Code:
Sub FindSection()
Dim nm As Integer, txtnum As String, Found As Range
txtnum = Application.InputBox(prompt:="Enter a Number")
Set myRange = Worksheets("T&M SHEET").Range("K:K")
[Code]....

Each of the worksheets in my model use A1 as a control cell for any errors and inconsistencies. My aim is to disable save and close commands in case A1 is not equal to 0 in any of the worksheets.
The code I currently use for that purpose is as follows.

Some time ago (not sure how long ago) I created a splash screen that comes up when I first load a particular workbook. There was only one worksheet in the workbook and at that time the data in the worksheet was not so relevant and hardly ever used. That workbook name is "Employees" and the worksheet name is "EmpData".
Subsequently, the worksheet ("EmpData") in the workbook "Employees" has became relevant to a new workbook named "Payroll" I created. This workbook is used all the time. It had four different active worksheets.
I realized last week that the data in "EmpData" was very relevant to the work in the "Payroll" workbook so I copied "EmpData" worksheet in it's entirety to the "Payroll" workbook as a fifth worksheet using the same name as before, "EmpData". Now each time I open the "payroll" workbook the splash screen shows up and hangs around for several seconds or longer. It has become quite irritating and I want to delete it.

I have a rather large workbook (30 sheets, 10MB) that has one worksheet with many INDIRECT functions in it (pulling data from the same file, different tabs). I am working to put simple code into the workbook to protect and/or unprotect all worksheets. I have gotten code to work to both protect and unprotect all the sheets, but when I run the unprotect code (see below), and then I go to edit the workbook, data from the sheet with many "indirect" functions temporarily "overwrites" the data on the active sheet (this is fixed when I scroll my mouse over the effected cells). I am developing this workbook for other users, so I'd like to fix this before sending it off to them.
This problem does not happen until after I run the following .....

it would be possible to have text disappear after being displayed in Excel for a while.
My son and I played around with games (helping create a photographic memory, I told the youngster!) on the thing and until yesterday neither of us noticed that clicking the mouse anywhere (actually just clicking it) causes the screen to "freeze" while the code still happily erases the text in the background.
Hitting ESC allows the screen to cath up to the actual code EVEN THOUGH the ESC key is actually disabled from breaking the code.

1) We need the Input screen to auto clear the fields once the " Save " button has been pressed and data transfered to the appropriate tracking sheet
2) We want to ensure that if any of the Red cells are empty the " Save " button will give an error ( one complication If the "Transfer Type" highlighted in Blue has an entry " either STD/ISD/ESP " then " Call Purpose " needs to be mandatory
3) somehow the information on the "Comment " field is not getting captured
4) If possible we want a warning indicator if two rows in a tracking sheet ( example London ) are the same based on Coloums B to I ( except C )
5) Is there any possibility to give a pop calender in the " scheduled date " section of Input screen (Row 33)

My company has files that are already in use. I don't know too many details about how they work, but somehow saving the file will screw it up and my boss has to go back and reset something or other to correct it. Obviously it's connected to some other software somewhere. The code below will block Save and Save-As. BUT how do I get the file to hold onto the code without actually saving the file after the code is added (since the file shouldn't be saved)?
VB:
Private Sub Workbook_BeforeSave(ByVal SaveAsUI As Boolean, Cancel As Boolean)
If SaveAsUI = False Then
Cancel = True

I am trying to create a beforesave code within my template. The template has certain fields that are blank and when the end user enters data, I want them to be able to click on save or the blue disk and it saves it to a new location, based on their user and some of the cells within the form. I do not want the template to be saved with the data they input. The data they input is saved only when they click the blue disk and it saves to another location, with their username and certain cells in the form. Then the end user can continue using that same template for the next entry and so on. I have a beforeclose that asks them if they really want to close or not. The only time they would close, or hit the big red X is when they are done with all their entries for the day. Here is my code for beforesave:
